I will try to be creative and put together a wedding post tonight. Going to the Bears-Panthers today with my boys, so I will not be on much.
Bears-Panthers? Something tells me sports, but I want to be stupid and say: "Is that some kind of animal show?"

"Couldn't care less about how you see me," Ganit says harshly after a long silence then worms his way out of her affections. "When the sh*t I done comes back 'round you'll be glad you're nowhere near me. Like I told ya, most a my golds goin' to Delilah. I'll make sure that changes to yer favor," he tells her again as he walks away. He doesn't stop again despite Gwen's cries, threats and misfired arrows.

"Settle down? Yes I suppose I will. A corner in the barracks, I will be able to supervise the men and see to the horses easily there. Thank you for the suggestion Delilah!"
Delilah isn't sure what to say and just blinks in surprise as she saw what she said being twisted into something she wasn't learning towards.
"I meant...you know. Settle down with a good woman, have a family. Maybe a strong son to carry on your legacy when you are old and gray?" she suggests off-handedlyJameson Addercop IV |
"When I am old and gray? You will still be young if I grow long in the tooth. My mother's people are known for their fecundity but not longevity. When you are bouncing grandchildren on your knee I will be in the grave many years. There will be no family for me Delilah. My life will end with a charge and the clash of steel, and then Donal and I will have peace."
And I would have it no other way.

After listening to Bron's advice, Zorestar goes back to his office to compose his poetry to present to Alicia. Once evening after a lovely dinner, the wizard presents his poem to Alicia.
"Alicia, my darling, I wish to express how I feel about you, but I have borrowed some of my mathematics to assist in this endeavor. Please forgive me if this does not come across clearly, but know that in my heart it is true."
Zorestar clears his throat and proclaims,
U plus me together equals forever. Me minus you equals never.
U minus me equals lonely .
U plus me equals a love that will never die or turn cold.
Me minus you equals what is not ever meant to be
Your hand plus my hand equals something I will always hold.
If we have a problem ...just give me a pencil and a paper and I will work it out .
My heart plus your heart equals a love so rare. Your heart minus my heart equals a tragedy we are never destined to see. Your dreams plus my dreams equals a reality.
And a love that will always be .
Do the math add it up and you will see.
Zorestar bows and then waits to see how Alicia reacts.

What, no Square Root of 3 by David Feinberg?
I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three
The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine
For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic
I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality
When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three
As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer
We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands
Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed

The group arrived at the former Stag Lord’s fort. Over the next day or two, the new settlers worked hard to gut the remnants of the old fort while the land around the fort was surveyed and a tent city of sorts sprang up. Then work proceeded with the walls being reinforced and new stone being brought from the mines of the kobolds to the east.
Soon a keep began to take shape at the back of the structure with a small stable and courtyard in the front. While not huge, the enlarged structure provided more than enough room for the new Baron and Baroness as well as a small library and chambers for Magister Zorestar. Likewise, small offices and chambers were built for Warden Ganit and General Jameson.
As the month proceeded, the new reinforced walls were shored up and finally as the summer solstice neared, it became apparent that the goal of all involved would come to fruition, the castle would be completed.
Thus was it as the Sunwrought Festival approached, a great celebration was planned. The castle would be finished and in the castle’s courtyard and the garden which had been created before it was planned a duel celebration. First would be the wedding of Baron Bron and Baroness Carina. Once they were wed, then a celebration and party lasting far into the night would take place. The celebration would not only be for the nuptials, but also as a thanking and celebration for those who braved the wild to join us in this new land, this new nation.
Sorry, out of time. Hope some of you will add some color. Will try to get more about the day tomorrow.

Jhod makes sure to wear his best robes, newly aquired from being in a position of power and ordered especially from his church back home given, in part, due to his success.
Akiros and Kressel appear to have gotten close. The group has clearly shown him and everyone else that they are indeed here to stay. Many people from the lands visit. Even Bokken arrives, though he keeps to himself in the corner, speaking with a guest no one recognises.
She is wearing a mithral chain shirt and has her bow in her hand, her quiver filled with many types of arrows and Falchion made from cold iron are left with the guards as everyone is asked to disarm for the wedding, not wanting anyone to get into a fight so no blood is spilt either by mistake or purpose.
She appears human, but she keeps her head under a hood and her eyes are covered in a thin vail that obstructs her eyes, however allows you to see the rest of her face fine with no issue. She steps over and offers a hand to Carina.
"I have heard much of you. My name is Tessara of the Wood." she states simply with a smile "I wish you all the luck in your new kingdom and that more races join, knowing you are a understanding people."
DM Aron Marczylo |
1d20 ⇒ 13
You notice that there appears to be some wriggling under her hood and that Tessara doesn't appear to be entirely human.
those who got the above check get this below
It is clear to you know that she apears to be a Medusa. Creatures that look human, but have more in common with reptiles with the snakes for hair and the venom in their fangs that they often use for biting.
Medusas are often feared for their gaze can turn a warrior to stone. The hair of snakes are a part of her so she can see all around her, making her impossible to flank due to seeing all incoming blows at once. They often stay in their home, guarding treasure and collecting new treasure from fallen heroes who enter their chambers.
All Medusas are female so they're only way for procreation is to reverse the stone process on a man and force them to drink a Elixir of Love or use some other similar magical compulsion to bring them to bed in the hopes of producing a child.
Those that enter cities usually work for thieves guilds or are thieves that use their natural charisma to cheat people out of all their earnings just to build up her own collection of treasure and trinkets.
Like all creatures on Golarian (with some exceptions) Medusas are not born evil. All are usually raised by their mother and taught how to behave and get what you want out of people as well as using their abilities to their advantage. There are some, however, who seporate themselves from their mothers and have a love for life.
There are tales of Oracles who trade magic items for fortunes or to tell heroes the secrets that they seek. Some try to live normal lives anywhere that will take them, however their reputation and ability to turn people who look into their eyes into stone makes that impossible in most civilised places.
some murals depict Medusas fighting on both the side of humans and serphant folk in the time before Starfall. Even those that work in the thieves guilds may not do it just for the money, but also wish to help fit into society, however such noble medusas are highly unlikely to ever cross path with ever again.

Telias is there though no one saw him arrive. He is not dressed fancy nor has any mark of rank upon him. He is there as a a man who acts as if he owns the place and is overseeing the proceedings with an air that it barely meets his approval. He seems uncomfortable but it does not appear to be from the ceremony, the couple, or the partying but more from something deeper within an itching underneath the skin. He speaks to no one and gives terse nods of acknowledgement to those who greet him.
Upon seeing the woman he makes a sharp intake of breath and coughs as he nearl swallows a whole cloud of his own tobacco. For much of the ceremony he keeps a wary eye on her though never meeting her gaze and mostly staring at her feet or at the top of her hood when she turns from him.
Eventually he sidles up to Jameson who is no doubt so starched and polished as to emulate the hardest and shiniest oaks.
"Ya keep an eye on that Tessara's feet." He says to Jameson sideways. "And iffin ya like bein alive never ever look at that one in the eye ya hear me?"

The name has been mentioned and even Gwen mentioned that Tessara had shown interest in the group, but didn't want to reveal herself yet as she was unsure of the group.
You can tell she is being friendly in the same way, you generally are with everyone. She is clearly hardened from life out in the forest and views you all with some suspecion.
Tessara glances in Ganit's direction, clearly having overheard what he said and making eye contact with him.
"I know the creatures I am related do are known to cause trouble and kill, but I pose you no threat. That is why I wear this." she points to the Veil before turning to Carina.
"I have lived in these woods all my life. My parents were a elven couple who lived and explored these lands together. I have lived alone for some time and hoped this nation would welcome ones like me, though your friends there appear to dislike me before getting to know me." she states bluntly. "I also wanted to wish you and your soon-to-be husband plenty of happyness and luck in the future. May Ketephys, God of hunting aid you if you ever need his help."
The god Ketephys is a chaotic good elvan deity of hunting, forestry and running. He does not speak to his followers unless they are hunting a particularly dangerous or prized creature. His symbol is of a hawk on a silver crest.
Jameson Addercop IV |
"If you truly mean no harm Tessara then you are welcomed by me. We have included others in this nation that many would not, I see no reason you cannot be welcome here as well. As my friend Ganit so inelegantly stated you are dangerous in a way we aren't always comfortable with, but you've come here in peace and will have the same from me."

Carina returns the smile pointing to her own veil: Yes, I to must cover my eyes when out of doors. While I love the wind and the wild, the bright sunlight has been very harsh on my eyes these past few months. I only hope that whatever has caused it will someday pass. You on the other hand are likely cursed to wear the veil if the stories I was told of others like you are true.
Then Carina giggles: I would say that we could hire you to create beautiful statues, but I am guessing others might not appreciate your method of artistry.
Carina then pauses and looks at the people gathering about: I only ask that you be careful. While we as a group are seeking to make this land a land for all, there are others here, undoubtedly both good people and those with less than beneficiant beliefs, who might not have such an open mind at this time. I will find a place for you to sit an watch that is away from the other settlers and guests if you wish so that nobody accidentally removes your veil. If a foolish child were to do so and end up as stone, I doubt that anything we might say would appease the child's parents and friends.

She gives a nasty look for the moment, but then sighs as she lets it pass.
"I...do not hurt humans. It was my father's dying wish, even though a band of thugs killed him for raising a monster, he begged me not to kill them." she states frankly, wanting to try and get her point across of how what Carina said was actually hurtful, though true about her abilities. "I did not kill them, but left them unconcious for the army to find them on their patrols. I never use this curse of mine, unless such actions require more than my bow skill."She looks to Ganit who appears to be drinking himself to a early grave. Stepping over to her she looks at him with curiosity.
"I hear you are good with a bow. Gwen and her father told me so last I met them. Best in the land." she states, awaiitng for his reply and turning to the wizard and marked confusion, she lets her hood down revealing the nest of vipers that are growing out of her head, however they are docile and don't hiss, merely watching all angles.

Seeing the unhappy look, Carina stops and thinks, and then goes up to Tessara: I am sorry, I did not mean to offend you. Carina then lifts the veil and shows her two colored eyes. I was raise by my parents as a normal human. While I don't want to believe it, apparently I too have the taint of some monster in me. The difference is that you have always known of your heritage, mine only became apparent recently. I have much to learn about what I am and about dealing with those of other races. I am sure that you will not be the last person I will accidentally offend. She then offers her hand. Please accept my apology and welcome to the party.
When she sees Tessara heading over toward Ganit: Be careful with that one. From what I have seen, a woman trying to talk sense to him is like trying to talk sense to a bear with his head stuck in the bee hive. "Well met, Madam. I am Zorestar Lebeda, the Magristrate of Vertaria. I do not believe we have met. What brings you to our country on this fine occassion? Do you perchance know the bride or groom?"
How much does Zorestar know about Medusa? Should she be able to turn peeople to stone at her very look or is she not quite a pure medusa? What does the wizard know about Tessara's kind and these matters?

He slides clumsily from his seat and surveys the wedding guests with a grimace then begins marching towards his office, catching himself on tables and chairs every now and again. ”Con-f&#*$@-gratulations on dis mos’pecial... day,” he tells Carina from across the yard before knocking the table he leant on to the ground and kicking a caught chair from his foot. ** spoiler omitted **
Medusas are known to turn people to stone with a mere glance, however both from what you've seen with her looking everyone dead in the eye whilst wearing the veil you can assume that she wears it to block the effect of her abilities meaning that as long as she wears it, no one will be turning to stone.
You notice it's quite well tied, certainly not taking any chances in having it come loose. Your school even had extensive diagrams about these creatures, how they are all female and therefore, require a male to breed with when they wish to have a child. Normally one is brought up by her mother to become just as vicious a killer as her, however in some cases people have killed one whilst the medusa is a child and depending on what happens next, shapes their lives.
Some have been raised in thieves guilds as their natural charisma and slight form make them great natural assassins along with their gaze attack. In the past many have uncovered depictions of these creatures siding with humans against the serpent folk and it is possible to find others that would ally with humans. You manage to assume that she must've been discovered and her adoptive parents brought her up.
She gives a small laugh
"These wilds have been my home for some time. I have come for this special occassion to congratulate the two, before I return to the wilds." she states flatly, looking back to Ganit and then Zorestar again "I hope to be accepted one day here as a citizen, but until then I am happy to live in the wild. I am Tessara of the Wood and it is a pleasure to meet you Zorestar." she gives a smile as she offers her hand in a handshake.

"Forgive me for the following questions, Mam, but I have not met one of your kind before. Although most people of the land fear the legendary Medusa, I am aware that they are not born evil. In fact I am aware that the environment has a much greater effect than simply the inherited coding of your ancestry. Tell me, Tessara, were you raised by your mother? I do not mean to offend you, but I am curious, how did you learn the customs of society? I have heard that only those young Medusa who separate themselves from their mothers retain a love for life? Can you ascertain for me if this is true?"
