Beaky roars as Istikali as it is shocked by the spell being channeled through the bird's talons.

Akiros bravely takes a few steps forward, entering the smokey area and then striking out at the Owlbear once he gets a good sight on it and then lashes out with his blade, but completely misses.

attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Beaky attacks the giant who has been smacking it with his crude club

claw 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

The Stag Lord, not seeing anyone continues to hold his bow and narrows his eyes.
"Come out of that smoke, cowards!" he calls out to the group as he appears aggitated. "I was promised this land and no stupid, snot-nosed cowards are going to drive me from it!"

Sir Bronwyn:

Just a reminder, you are in O23 and unseen by the group.

The vision of the hulking simpleton battling a flaming owlbear while slowly being consumed by smoke was likely to be an image stuck in Ganit's head until the day he died. Pleased with having given his companions a brief moment to gather themselves he loosens another thistle arrow from his quiver and launches it at the large greyish blob he assumes is the owlbear.

Large Earth Elemental Large

The ruined structure of the fort shakes as the earth rises below the shattered shards of a light brown gem. A giant humanoid composed of rock and debris forms from the local soil, its simple mind filled with purpose: to kill.

Following the clear instinct to attack the enemies of its summmoner, it lumbers forth, craggy arms poised to avalanche upon the tiny horned human.

The Large Earth Elemental appears, taking over the squares of U22, V22, U23 and V23. It acts immediately upon being summoned, on Initiative 12.
Full-Round Action: Charge the Stag Lord. Moves to occupy W23, X23, W24, X24. Attack roll (including +1 attack and damage from Earth Mastery, +2 attack from charge and -3 attack/+6 damage from Power Attack): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21. If hit: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 6) + 14 = 22 bludgeoning damage.

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

Beaky seems to pick up the scent of something moving near it and then thrusts it's beak in that direction hitting something, but you don't see what. Blood from the wound of whatever it hit spilled a little on the ground, soaking into the soil.

AoO1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

After attacking the invisable something, a gem is discarded upon the ground and then suddenly smashed, revealing a large creature made out of Solid stone that roars and charges at the Stag Lord, smashing into the wall, but it still standing and bringing it's arm in and smashing him hard.

Telias' wounds begin to knit together as he uses his wand upon himself.

Ganit's arrow fells the Owlbear, hitting it hard with the arrow that manages to land right in it's eye which many of you see as the beast falls back and crashes to the ground, shaking the area round the group as it did.

I'm in the same boat, brother. Carina is out for the next few days so I wasn't sure if Aron was going to control her or if he wanted one of us to do it. Given the block of enemies and NPC, it'd probably be better for him to give her orders.

Male Human Bard 4

Carina could simply cast Magic Missile on Auchs for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6 damage.

I infrequently have internet access. You guys get my post today. On one game I have 35 posts already, probably 200 total to read at this point.

If I can see something, I cast Magic Missile.

Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7

If I cannot see anyone, I move forward until I can see a target, and then cast the spell.

Carina gets up close to Aruchs then manages to cast her spell defensively, firing out two orbs of energy that slam straight into the giant, knocking him down to the ground from the impact of the magic.

Round 6

Order:

Dovan of Nisrock (dead)
Zorestar Lebeda
Akiros Ismort
Beaky the Owlbear (dead)
The Stag Lord
"Sir" Bronwyn Raslov
Telias Markan
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Bandits(all dead, 1 unconcious)
Carina Stigard
Aurchs (Ox) (dead)
Jameson Addercop IV (whenever he wants to act)

Zorestar casts his spell and a invisable shield comes up to surround him.

Akiros stumbles out of the smoke, bloodied and screaming with rage.
"You will pay for your crimes Stag lord!" he cries out as he advances towards the stag lord and takes a swig from a magic potion, his wounds knitting themselves together, but still looking terribly wounded.

2d8 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14

The Stag Lord takes a step back just outside of the elemental's reach and looks directly at Akiros with a deadly gaze.
"Die you bastard! All of you DIE!" he pulls out his special arrow, notches it and then lets it go at him.

attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

damage: 1d8 + 14 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 14 + (1, 1) = 24

attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

The Stag Lord's arrow burrows itself deep into Akiro's flesh, forcing him to scream out in pain as a burst of energy appears to shoot from the shaft, but the second arrow misses entirely and Akiros manages to remain standing, though looking pale and horrifically wounded.

Stag's Helm:

Aura faint divination; CL 5th
Slot head; Price 3,500 gp; Weight 3 lbs.
Description
This striking helmet is crafted to resemble the skull of a mighty stag. Although made from bone, the antlers and helm are as strong as metal. When worn, the helm greatly enhances eyesight and hearing, granting a +2 competence bonus on Perception checks. In addition, once per day the helm may be called upon to enhance any ranged attack made by the wearer to make an insightful shot. Activating this ability is a free action, and once activated, your next ranged attack against a target within 30 feet is made as if that target were flat-footed against you—this allows a rogue to gain the benefit of sneak attack with this shot. If you don’t
make a ranged attack within 1 round of activating this power, the insight fades and is wasted for that day.

A worshiper of Erastil who wears this helm may utilize the insightful shot ability up to 3 times per day.
(The wearer feels as if Erastil is watching and he approves of the deeds you have done. You hear no words, but you just get the sensation that he's pleased with the group.)

Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, creator must have at least 5 ranks in Perception, true strike; Cost 1,750 gp

Stag Lord's Barracks:

Two of the chests hold bedding and other miscellaneous items, including a bolt of burlap cloth, old clothing, an iron ring, and three crudely stitched leather masks. In the third chest, the Stag Lord keeps his best treasures. This consists of 364 gp & 5 sp, a polished azurite crystal worth 9 gp, a carnelian worth 80 gp, a piece of hematite worth 13 gp, a shard of obsidian worth 14 gp, a red garnet worth 100 gp, a pewter belt buckle depicting a pair of entwined succubi worth 30 gp, and a silver charm bracelet worth 60 gp.

Armoury:

Three unlocked crates in the storage area hold 15x longbows, 390x arrows, 7x short swords, 8x spears, 6x 50-foot lengths of hemp rope, two sets of chisels, 4 hammers, 4 tins of iron nails, and 6 suits of
leather armor.

Akiros sighs as he sits down, dropping his shield and leaning against his sword.
"I hope this is not another mistake." he states, still wounded, but doesn't appear to be fuming like he was earlier and not looks exhausted. "Oh...the old man. We have to take care of him. He's in the area under the pig roast room. The Stag Lord's best loot is there with that crazy old man. No idea who he is, but he kept him around for a reason. Said he was the reason he drank so much."

The witchdoctor appears. You must kill them, these men lost, they deserve to die. Only power rules, all others are fools. Now kill them as the orc you are. Then the apprentice turns to the witchdoctor and for the first time Carina can see the face of the apprentice. And the face is hers, orcish in appearance, but hers nonetheless. Bronwyn looks at the dead man, taking off the bony helm and tossing it aside.

Only a man after all.

He turns slowly to his companions, his smile cracking the earthen shell of dirt and rubble on his face. Seeing all of them alive and well seems almost beyond his wildest hopes, and he takes a split second to realize that he was ready to lay down his life to protect them.

You have come a long way, Derik of Restov.

Overwhelmed by feelings of victory and the simple joy to be alive after overcoming certain death, he walks up to Carina and lifts her by the arms in a twirling hug.

A-ha! We did it! Victory is ours!

Letting her down as gently as possible with his still shaky hands, he instinctively puts his hand on the back of her head, leaning towards her and closing his eyes. A half-second later he brings his head back, eyes open and startled as he realizes what he was about to do. He cracks a lopsided smile, taking his hand off her hair.

You had a... twig on your hair.

Male Human Bard 4

I...

Bronwyn stands amazed for a couple seconds, then seems to recover his bearings and looks around to the group.

Ahem. I'm really glad to see everyone's alive and well - he says, taking one uncertain look at Teliass - ehr, alive, but there's still work to be done. Akiros has pointed out there is another person we have to contend with, maybe a master to the Stag Lord. He apparently is somewhere down below - the knight turns to Akiros - can you point us the way?

Male Human Bard 4

Suddenly, the bard looks sideways to the enormous mound of rock, waiting patiently for orders.

Uh... Zorestar... How do I...? Will it... keep following me with those... creepy eyes?

As the Elemental Gem works as a summon nature's ally and the item has a caster level of 11, I guess the spell duration is 11 rounds.

The presance of the Stag Lord has faded from the helm. It appears he only wanted you to know he'll be watching this group. The helm's magical ability appears to be suited far more for a ranger no matter his or her belief.

Still think it's best for Ganit. If you fight something nasty, you get a free touch AC shot and if close enough, you get sneak attack too. Plus much of his damage with the bow came from 3 things. Strength, bow enhancement and Deadly Aim.

Akiros seems stunned at the sudden kiss he witnessed between Bron and Carina, but he gives a smile and a nod before rising from his seat.
"He was no leader, we just kept him down there to look after the treasure. I don't know his past, but the stag lord wouldn't have him in sight, especially not when drinking." He then puts his hand on Bron's shoulder "I'd like to talk to you in private, after you deal with the old goat."

Yeah, bron is right about it following until the end, but I assuming you took time analysing magic items so taking 10 or 20. If 20 then it would've dissappeared back to it's realm.

The bigger the plan is greater the chance for one thing to go wrong, right mate?

The weary knight slaps Ganit on the back, immediately regretting doing so as his chest aches from the effort.

Damnitalltohell! Ehr, forgive me, milady and milords. That damned beast almost ripped meself open.

It's not difficult to follow a very clear claw trail ripping his cloak, chainmail and finally the flesh of his chest.

No problem Aron, I just wanted to make the quip when I realized it would stick around for some time and Bron can't issue any other commands to it since he does now speak Terran.

I think we have some time while Zorestar magics up those trinkets. Speak your mind, good man.

After releasing Bron, Carina gives him an innocent smile. Better be careful what wildlife you tangle with big boy, some of it bites..

In response to Bron's comment.
Well Bron, if you like creepy earth type creatures, I am sure that Tellias can summon more for you. I believe those of the druidic faith can call all types of help from nature, including large mounds of rocks that hit real hard.

To Akiros - So, where is this old geezer? Lets get him disabled, then we can find any of that good drink we brought down for Staggy. I think a toast will be in order with this little encampment cleared out.

DM Aron - I think that we have previously started discussing this, but if you want to post what our starting basis is for forming a town and nation (money, building points, population, funding options, etc.), we should start to discuss it IC and OOC as I think there will be a fair amount to work out.

"It wasn't that big of a plan to begin with," Ganit replies unimpressed. "If we to raise anything to a toast it should be potions. There's plenty around and if there's one more enemy to go it would be foolish to be unprepared. And seeing as the former lord was at odds with him, I'd assume he's not your run of the mill bandit."

The helmet is no doubt ideal for Ganit but if the character is anything, he's a stubborn bastard. He would have shunned it at the moment Zorestar mention Erastil. I may come to use it eventually though...

But with the helmet, he would be a stubborn bastard with a styling hat.
