Don't know about the trip, although 25 is pretty good - especially with a gnome. Slice away, he does not seem to be too talkative. My job is to knock them down so that you get extra AoO when anyone not dead tries to get back up.

BT Round 3/7

Master of Procrastination and Grognardia

I could be mistaken but I thought the trip was done out of turn and this turn's action was the spell, murderous rage which failed. Still waiting on Krenn's last action before the start of the round, unless he wants to delay and end up at the begining of next round?

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

I must have missed something. I cast the spell the turn when there was nobody within range of my whip. For some reason I thought that one more turn had occurred. I guess my trip will have to be next round if the gnome is still standing.

HP 123/123, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

Llyra you've been posting 1 round ahead of when you should for the last couple of turns.

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Not sure how I got ahead. I will wait then until the next turn and trip anyone in range at that time.

Damn, them's some crappy damage rolls to go with some awesome attack rolls. Nice damage though, good job Krenn.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

Between that crit and all of the other damage he has already taken if he is not dead the MM should probably finish him off :]

Master of Procrastination and Grognardia

Krenn's first swing cuts into Jabbyr despite his resistant skin and the final swing takes the Gnome's head clean off whilst the emporor watches and screams in horror as his mightiest warrior falls.

Cunach's spell outline's the emporor who realizes the spell and grits his teeth.

The Emperor is marked for death. Curnach notes, pointing out his faerie fire enchantment which outlines his position. We will wait for Jerin's magic to fade. I suggest you use your bow if they are not willing to walk through the tentacles and ice to reach us.

Clutching his rod and using the last of its stored power, Curnach hurls another fireball directly at Pilts- a particularly potent blast of flame that scorches over a dozen foes- and to Curnach's amusement also scorches the chain devil.

Targeting his SW intersection. It hits the following people/minions- Pilts, W27, X28, Y29, Z29, AA27, AB27, AB28, AB29, AB30, V31, V32, W31, W32 and the Chain Devil.

Thug 10: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

The emporor falls with a scream from the blast of fire and all the thugs that remain standing begin to turn and attempt to run. Those not in the tenticles decide to head to the edges to jump off the edge of the buildings or run back where they came.

"Let's git out of 'ere guys!" one of them screams as he jumps out of a window.

We can move up now...

Master of Procrastination and Grognardia

just to cover this issue as I know it will be asked about whilst I'm at my rp game session, the emporor is still alive but barely breathing. Laori too has a love for witnessing peoplein pain so she will stabalise him for Llyra so he doesn't bleed out if you decide to continue investigating the area. As per the map there should be a door to your left, where many of the thugs where that leads into a large building.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

We should make an example out of him in public, maybe an execution, outside of this building for all to see, this is what happens to those who missuse power and try to corrupt Korvosa!

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Once the emperor is stabilized, I use the hat of disguise appear as the little girl from 20 years ago.

I walk up to him and stand over him with my rapier pointed just below his abdomen.

For twenty years I have seen your face in my nightmares. While sadly you will not survive to have one night of nightmares of this day, I hope to provide you with twenty years of suffering in the next few minutes.

I then press the rapier down severing what he used to violate my mother so many years before.

Now, I believe we need to have a public execution where everyone can see. You have been tried and shall be executed shortly. It will be known as the trial of the eunuch emperor. And all those over whom you have spread terror these recent days, will be able to mock you as you bleed out.

"As much as I would love to see him executed and die a slow, painful death, we still need to find Salvatore. He may be your only way to find the man you're looking for and I wish to save him from this place. He might get killed by some mugger and I can't let his genius talent go to waste like that." she exclaims as she moves down, looking for where the men are still flee, stopping to admire the tall knife as she then smirks "I know this won't be a slow death, but what if you used his own execution device on him? That could be poetic or wait, no, you use it to cut off his limbs one by one."

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

This is where you and I differ. You revel in pain. I seek vengeance. My goal is for him to know what his fate is and that there is no way of escaping it. He will meet his doom. If you wish to extract your information from him, have at it. But I will have my vengeance and he shall face a humiliating public death. A death which will inform other such as him what fate will befall them should they seek to follow in his footsteps and harm my city.

The "He" was directed more as Salvatore when you find him. She doesn't care about the emporor here. He's all yours.

"He's not going anywhere, let's just rescue Salvatore and get out of here. I doupt any of his stupid minions will be hanging around after what just happened." she smirked, looking around to see if she could still see them fleeing, but they had all dissappeared by now.

9 berries it takes before he lands on zero and the mutilation Llyra does, forces him to collapse again from pain and loss of blood, but he had a look of true fear in his eyes before she did what he did.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

Jerin sighs, Let me know when you are done playing with him. Hopefully I can put a magical compulsion on him and we can be on our way to finding this artist and then his execution.

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

I shall wait for his public execution to finish. My friends, he is yours to question. Lets get some information and then get on with saving this town. My vengeance needs a new target, I expect him to give it to me.

Master of Procrastination and Grognardia

So who'll be questioning him and healing him which will not reverse the wound, but it'll heal it over. Only way to get it back would be regenerate and I'm sure Llyra doesn't want to do that :p

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Jerin - all yours, Llyra's questions would mostly involve her rapier and his throat or other vital parts.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

Posted my action above, casting charm monster, if it works I will have some more for him...

What I was pointing out was tha he's unconcious again, however I'll assume Curnach shovs in another 10 berries that'll bring him back up to 0

save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

The spell takes effect and he manages to groan, but remains his place due to his horrid wounds he doesn't have the strength to get up. He remains on the floor and when questioned about where Salvatore is he points to the door, saying to enter the first door on the right and go through the connecting rooms. He's in a small cell that he keeps him in as a trophy due to his valuable and violent art.

I assume you knock him out again with a non-leathal blow before heading to the door. Checking for traps or anything?

HP 94/94, AC 25/13/23 CMD 18, F +10, R +7, W +16, P +21, In +8, AOO +1

Actually, only so many berries can affect one target per day. He had reached his limit, and by the time Llyra would have done that, Curnach was planning to be searching the place. Taking 10 while searching the entire place, for a 32 with modifiers applied. Someone else will need to apply healing to awaken him i'm not wasting a wand charge on that filth. I imagine at least one of our clerics has a cure prepared.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

We may be able to learn about his actions to help the people he has hurt. I know it isn't perfect but healing him will help the city in the long run...you guys get Salvatore, I will continue to work on this worm before we execute him.

To Pilts, he promises false hope...
Maybe if you told me everything you know, the others...maybe I can convince them to let you live. I know it is a far shot, but maybe we can find a way out of this for you my friend?

Jerin wants to find out the name of his lieutenants, those that have helped him and any other information that might be useful for us on this island. To Jerin, Pilts is just a water sack...to be drained and then discarded...

Female Aasimar Cleric 8/Rogue 2) (HP: 84/84; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Healing to stabilize: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Failing miserable, I just cast CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 At least he is stable. We can bind him up and then revive him once we are ready for him to die.

We can't let you die now, can we. If you were allowed to die, I would not be able to enjoy my vengeance. No, you will die publicly, and humiliated.

"When you open the door there is a hall. Don't go through the door at the other end..." he trails off and then smirks. "The chokers will kill and eat whatever walks in there. They entered through a hole in the roof and I threw those who weren't loyal to me in there. Whatever treasure they have, they must have collected up."

Male Human Wizard (FC) 10 - Enchanter

What about your Kingly treasures Pilts, where do you keep those hidden? Any traps on any of your hidden compartments?
What about the items that you and the little man possess? What are they?

He laughs as he looks up at you.

"Why would I hide or trap anything? No one would be brave enough to attack me and my palace directly. I have no need to lock anything up besides that painter." he sighs as he realises this was a stupid thing to do now that they had managed to break in and defeat his men.

Curnach:

When you enter the hallway you see three doors down the hallway. You try the one on the left where you find what appears to be a store-room. You don't find anything of much interest here besides crates, boxes and barrels that make the dimensions of the room hard to tell. These all appear to be props, tools and other bits salvaged from Exemplary Execrables. If any of the materials have value, the fact these have been burnt from the fire that destroyed the place makes them worthless.

The door opposite this room is also unlocked and as you make your way inside a sickly sweet smell assaults your senses. A combination of flowers and vinegar. The smell most likely coming from the fourteen poorly-preserved heads mounted on the walls in this trophy hall. Most of the heads appear to be human, although two are elves and one is from a dwarf. To the north is a small child-sized bed sits against the wall opposite a wooden table decorated with a magnificent set of silverware.

You take some time looking at the items and the silverware set, as it is in a complete collection is worth 500 gp, but you also find a platinum and crystal decanter filled with fine brandy on the table. The item alone is worth 750 gp.

Seeing another door you make your way through to find a extravagantly decorated bedroom would feel at home in the richest of noble villas or monarchs' castles, at least until one looks a little more closely at the sheets on the four-poster bed and notes how stained and frayed they are or examines the tapestries and curtains and sees the patches of mould and threadbare edges.

A tall and well-stocked bookcase to the south turns out to be leaning against the wall for support. The contents of its sagging shelves are poorly produced books with violent or erotic names on their mildewed spines with everything in the room appearing to be musty, stained with age and well-beyond its prime. Only three paintings hang in this wall, all grisly subject matter and done by Salvatore Scream. There is another door here however it is secured with a lock and a heavy wooden bar.

Most of the furnishings in this room are well-used props from countless plays and productions they've seen much use, however Pilts clearly found a use for them to hang them up.

As you check the paintings you hear a squeal behind you as Laori enters the room with her eyes fixated on the paintings and staring deeply into them, forgetting that you are in the room at the moment.

All the paintings are original Scream productions that can be sold for a large price to any collector of his art. The portraits are as follows:

The first depicts a full portrait of a thin humanoid wearing shadows like a robe as he stands framed by a dolmen of great size. The figure's brilliant blue eyes are the only true points of colour in the piece. They seem to glow with anger and leer into your soul. You somewhat feel uncomfortable as you stare back into them, almost as if they're sucking you into it. You can't quite grasp it, but you swear there is something familiar about this picture, though you can't place it anywhere. The painting is worth 450 gp.

The second picture depicts a rugged mountain range above a desert under a brilliant blue sky. In the foreground, a quartet of Vudran tusked camels ridden by N'darr tribesmen race across dunes that, when you take a closer look, consist of tiny skulls. Again, something ominous comes to mind, but you can't place it. This piece is worth 1,100 gp.

The final and most expensive one is also the most disturbing. It depicts a handsome man in the process of peeling away the flesh of his arms as if he were taking off a pair of gloves revealing muscular arms covered with glittering blue scales. The man's expression is one of delight, yet his eyes are empty pits of blackness. Half seen in the shadows beyond him are what can only be thousands of humans impaled on towering wooden poles erected in the shadow of an indistinct shape looming on the horizon-perhaps a castle, maybe a mountain, but likely something more that makes you think back to something else you recognise, however you can't get a good grasp of what it could be from. This last painting is worth a staggering 2,000 gp.

"If you have no interest in the paintings, may I have all three? I'll even buy them off you. These are the reason I've come for Salvatore. Such skill and such...beauty..." she trails off as she looks deeply, concentrating on the picture of the man removing the skin off his body.

After Curnach has been gone for a while Laori slips off whilst the rest of the group whilst you are interrogating the emperor and sorting out what you wish to do with him. If anyone was watching her, she went off down through the open door to follow where Curnach went. Shortly after you hear a squeal of excitement.
