Sorry to intrude but this last scene called for a tribute.

With affection to the great Mr. Berry.
Way down in Saragava in the vast expanse
below a little cave where the Tempest danced,

there stood a little gnome soaked down to his skin,
surrounded by the storm and his chosen kin.

Though some might say he couldn’t fight so well,
he could blow on the conch like he was ringing a bell!

Go go
Go Ambrose go
Go Go
Go, Ambrose the good

We now return you to the adventure in progress.

Your Humble Narrator

:D its no intrusion PWO.

Male Human Uber Nerd

*dots and runs*

Your Humble Narrator

Stomphoof- long time no see. How is everything friend?

Players- 450XP each for that encounter.

Male Human Uber Nerd

A whole hell of a lot better? I went through losing a job, being unemployed for 2 months, getting a new job, dealing with a 1 way 2.5 hour commute to work and then a 2.5 hour commute back home each day, moved twice in the span of 4 months, and have FINALLY gotten settled down and have a normal schedule again.

That would be why I vanished off the face of the bloody planet lol

How are YOU however AK? I am happy to see the game has continued!

Your Humble Narrator

It wasn't halted for long. I just had the blues with people disappearing. When I get down about this game (which is rare lately) I look at PWO's post about it being 'the gold standard for PbP' and it perks me up again :).

Glad things are looking up for you again. At least you didn't get your house flooded like poor Tanner.

Been up to my eyeballs with preparation for my MSc Management degree and sorting out accommodation for myself and my girlfriend; as well as trying to sort out her visa (she is Ukrainian) as she is also doing an MSc (Research Methods in Psychology). In addition to that all my health problems I thought had been fixed have returned with a vengeance; not only do I have the same intestinal problems and digestion etc., I have pretty crippling stomach pain most evenings now.

Generally though, i'm doing ok.

Male Human Uber Nerd

Yeoch stomach pain is nothing to sneeze at >.> Hope it gets better man :)

Now we just need to go back...to the future!

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

I get to drive the Delorean!!! (Although I'd probably need a booster seat and special shoes to reach the pedals...)

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Nice speech in the game Ambroze, I'll get you some blocks for the pedals.

As to the intrusion, much credit goes to AK for his excellent descriptions and all round DMing.. ;)

Your Humble Narrator

I am immune to flattery from my players, your all just trying to stay alive... It won't work I tell you!

*Mental note- Don't target Chi with Power Word Kill in Tazion. Remaining candidates- Tun'ada, Marcus, Ambroze, Willow, Tsura...*

Male Human Uber Nerd

Ambroze should be exempt from PW Kill :) Cause he is awesome.

Meant every word. Even more so now that I am in your other being eaten by things in the jungle game.

Oh dear, that does not sound healthy.

Aw shucks! Now I'm blushing!

BTW, good to see you back on the boards Stomphoof! If you find the time to run a PbP I will happily apply.

And thanks Poor Wandering One for the musical tribute!

Were you not already in one that I failed to keep going? 0_o lol

Thanks for the vote of confidence though.

what about the compliments from my players?

Your Humble Narrator

Always nice to hear :P.

Anyway, unless Willow is looking to get a lightning bolt for her trouble, the decision right now is whether to press on for the area The Tempest mentioned or rest for the evening. Its not quite night yet but it won't be long.

Your Humble Narrator

On that note, your clearly being asked to go pearl diving. Some sensible preparation (particularly from a Druid's spell list) would go a long way towards making that task easier.

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Do we still have that Ring of Swimming?

Your Humble Narrator

Chi still has it on her profile so assume yes (Chi confirm).

Touch of the Sea is a level 1 Druid spell that grants a swim speed, a +8 bonus to swim checks and the ability to take 10 on swim checks in all situations. Very short term of course.

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Yes Chi has the ring of swimming

Can anyone summon anything that might help? I guess that's mainly Willow then?

What are the skills you think we're gonna need to do this, other than getting lucky dice rolls?

Your Humble Narrator

A little knowledge (Nature) roll wouldn't hurt.

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

I'm away for the rest of the weekend ... DM bot if required

Male Human Fighter 5 50/50 hp 4hp nonlethal

Suggest a few touch of the sea. A water breathing or two might be a good eye for emergencies.

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Alex, what is your view of the designer's clarification of the Archivist's Lore Master ability (specifically, the archivist's ability to take 10 on Knowledge checks starting at level 2 vs. the regular bard's ability to take 10 via Lore Master at level 5)? This is something I just found reference to on the d20pfsrd website regarding the Archivist archetype.

Your Humble Narrator

Really dislike designers chiming in with how they messed up their writing (actually I just dislike Paizo's general editing process & the numerous mistakes all over the place). Especially Jason Nelson, who seems to make mistakes with an awful lot of his mechanics.

But I agree the finished "RAW" result is lacking. Retain all the other aspects of Lore Master, as intended.

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Thanks!

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

As it looks like we can't summon a creature that would help ...

I suggest Tun'ada is maybe the best suited to this task, with the ring of swimming .... maybe a rope to help him against the current ...

how are the rest of you thinking about this task ..

Chi could use enlarge person on him if that would be any good.

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Ambroze could cast Heroism on him as well.

Male Mwangi (Caldaru) Human Ranger 3 (Shapeshifter) / Barbarian 2

If Marcus is going with Tun'ada, he would be a better choice for the Ring of Swimming. If we run into a combat situation, Tun'ada will rage. While Raging, combined with the Heroism, Tun'ada will have a +11 to his swim check.

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Just a heads-up: I will be on vacation from Saturday, June 23 through Sunday, July 1. The place we're going supposedly has NO internet access. Please feel free to 'bot Ambroze accordingly during that time. Thanks!

Male Human Fighter 5 50/50 hp 4hp nonlethal

I've assumed Chi would come with the ring. If she doesn't want to Marcus will glady take it and dive with Tun'ada. If we can do Touch of the Sea, Bulls Strength and Heroism for both that would be great. If we go the whole hog Willow Water Breathings both as well. Mage Armor also maybe. Technically I can swim just fine in the breastplate and shield if buffed but it stretches my disbelief a mite too far. Enlarge would boost strength and swim further. Not quite sure if it would be a liability though (maybe we can't fit to grab pearls)?

Female Aasimar Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim) 3/ Sorcerer (Empyreal, Tattooed) 2

"Come on, hurry it up!"
"I'M TRYING! THE PEARL IS TOO SMALL FOR MY FINGERS!"

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Chi is fine letting any of the original characters use the ring, she's not a hobbit ... (sorry couldn't resist that). Chi considers herself the guardian of the ring and wears it when not being 'borrowed' by someone who needs it.

Your Humble Narrator

Cross-posted.

Sorry all. Been quite ill all day so didn't get round to updating. Been having some quite serious problems around my stomach/intestines, seeing a doctor on Monday about it. Suspect an inflammation of some kind, although the lab results I got back showed I have twice as much e-coli in my digestive system as I should (I had 1% of what I should have last time I had it checked, took a skanky supplement medicine to restore it. Looks like it was too effective as now have 200%).

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

For the boat, floats etc....
I think we should try and reduce the cost a bit, but if they don't shift on the price, then pay it.
But obviously Chi won't say it as she's in the shadows.

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Taken the gold out of Chi's sheet for the boat trip ...

Your Humble Narrator

Electricity is this group's bane I swear. I'm reminded of the fight with the Shocker Lizard's on the Shiv when half the group was put into negatives before they could act.

It surprise rounded us? Just trying to work out when we're acting.

Your Humble Narrator

Yup, surprise rounded. Wouldn't post its actions out of initiative order.

Your Humble Narrator

I know i'd ask if it were me so just to confirm- the full attack followed by move is legit.

Male Human Fighter 5 50/50 hp 4hp nonlethal

Initial reaction was "what the!..." but assumed something funky :)

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Just to let you know I'll be at PaizoConUK next weekend 20th-23rd-ish and therefore won't be posting. And again from 2nd Aug to 5th Aug at the local Music Festival, so feel free to GM bot for those periods so as not to slow anything down.

Your Humble Narrator

I'll be out of contact until the very end of July, due to a trip to Kiev followed by days spent packing up the flat i'm living in here in Ukraine followed by a 3 day bus journey back. Its easier to just declare my absence now rather than try and keep up with things during this busy time. Roll on August!

Consider the game on hiatus until the 1st of August. Tsura, still waiting for your action by the way and Marcus and Ambroze are also free to post theirs (mark the early posts clearly if you do so).

Male Gnome Bard (Archivist) 5

Have a great trip (or trips)! We'll be here!

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Yep, Good Luck AK, hope all goes smoothly and according to plan. We'll see you when things have settled down a bit.

Your Humble Narrator

Lets get this game back on track.

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Glad you're safely back in Dorset and hopefully recovered from the trip. I assume you're all online and ready for the next chapter in your adventure .... That is whatever you end up doing next.

Your Humble Narrator

Msc Management at Southampton Uni.

Female Elf Witch 3 (favoured) / Rogue 2 HPs 19/27

Back to being a student again .. whoa nice ... and back to your old haunts no less. :)
