The move is permanent, but the disruption to pbps should be temporary. I will try and get posts in, but as you're hitting a bit of combat etc, just wanted to let you know.
I had some second thoughts on playing a Barbarian. Reading over the material for the Mwangi Expanse and the slavery controversy got me thinking, so I'm going to roll up a different character. DM Alex, gave it the OK.
Serpents Skull isn't particularly well suited for crafting feats so i'd warn about Craft Wondrous item. There will be some downtime but I doubt you'll be outfitting the entire group in it. Remember you can do 250GP worth of it 'on the road' per day.
Re: Spells, you get all the Cure line for free.
Stats wise, i'd tone dexterity down to get charisma 20 by now. Juju mystery (and Oracle itself) is very dependent on charisma. Could take improved initiative.
Hmm... I hadn't actually planned on using CWI for outfitting the party. I wanted to take advantage of the mystery Craft Juju Fetish. After all, nothing says jungle shaman quite like a voodoo doll. But according to the campaign rule, it would take nearly a month to craft one without taking time out of adventuring.
Would it be possible for me to create a custom feat to speed up the magic item construction of only juju fetishes?
Looks interesting. I've fancied playing an oracle of bone for a Sargavan game which is rather similar (and like the avatar). I'll have to think up a different backup for Marcus :)
Just want to say though that character wise I don't think the party are as likely to take to a necromancer as they were to a jungle druid. After the Shiv and the encounters there Marcus at least will be a bit leery about creating undead.
I know, right? This class caught my eye with this part: "Necromancy spells that create undead lose the evil descriptor when you cast them. Mindless undead created by your magic are of neutral alignment, while thinking undead possess your alignment." So a Juju Oracle, using create undead, can make ghouls and vampires that are Lawful Good. Craziness.
As a Juju Oracle, I can create Neutral non-intelligent undead and LG intelligent undead. The desecrate spell allows me to, "Furthermore, anyone who casts animate dead within this area may create as many as double the normal amount of undead (that is, 4 HD per caster level rather than 2 HD per caster level)."
The only problem is the big fat Evil descriptor attached to the spell. Is there a way around this? I have maxed skill ranks in UMD, so using a scroll is not an issue. I'm just looking for a way to amplify undead creation without the icky Evil descriptor.
Edit: Would casting the occasional Evil spell specifically for the purpose of creating Good-aligned creatures cancel each other out morally?
Everything ok people? Theres a distinct lack of timely responses this combat. It seems like the busy period of Christmas never quite settled down all over the pbp boards...
I mean I could bot all three of you but i'll be playing rather suspiciously with myself and Chi.
A combination of recovering from a heavy hangover yeterday and waiting for Ambroze but no problem from my end and I would like to increase the posting pace. Momentum (or lack) tends to promulgate itself.
I suspect i'll allow you to use Consecrate to bolster the power of the Lawful Good, wendo spirits you are channeling. Not got the mechanics 100% down yet.
I'm hoping people like the slightly wuxia combat descriptions, like Umagro's fight with Tun'ada. I also hope Tun'ada doesn't mind me taking liberties to describe his attacks and defences- I know its hard to do this as a player as you don't have all the information to make assumptions with.
If you have a problem with either of these things please speak up, because we are heading into the levels where frankly, Pathfinder becomes a game that transcends mortal skill and power and becomes more wuxia in nature, then rapidly moving into the realm of superheroes and demigods. And I want it to read as badass as possible, especially with such an epic fight scene.
I mean- we have a crowd, the possibility of Tun'ada being sent hurtling through the air to land in a painful heap below, dual-wielding kukri's matched against a pair of claws, two barbarians with bite attacks and a backdrop of smoke and fire. This could be the iconic duel of the chapter!
Tanner, how are you holding up? Once this fight is over one way or another, we can begin to tie you in.
I'm doing fine. Is everyone okay with introducing a character that will be focused on raising the undead? I'm always willing to change things up if people don't want to see a Lawful Good juju zombie tyrannosaurus rex running around.
Because that will happen if I go with this character as-is. I realize this is pretty far outside the typical adventuring experience, so please speak up if you would like to see something else. I'm more than happy to make everyone else in the party happy.
I'm happy ... not sure how Chi will react to the undead ... but then the spirits of her ancestors are coming to protect them ... so not a bad thing after all.

If it's going to be problematic, then I'm fine with changing it. Besides, you can always change the mechanics without changing the personality of a character.
Back from holidays although work unfortunately has ideas about sending me to SAF. Should still be able to post though. Loved the tribesman mano e mano battle.
He was good to go for at least a round or two more, but the fire had him kind of worried. He had no real desire to kill you beyond defending himself, Tun'ada felt.
