Mage armour is 4 hours now. Should have plenty of time to pre-cast it unless we're ambushed or something.
I'm afraid its only 2 for me ... only 2nd level witch..its getting by all those traps you know...from now on, Chi will be going for witch levels.
Rod of lesser magic extend, might be a good bet, rather than the stone, given as Ambroze has found some extra gold in the calculations, I'll see how it goes.
I'll see how the money goes...
Tun'ada |
Think I will take a gamble that sometime soon Willow will see Tun'ada's claws.
Start 22gp, 9sp, 7 cp
+8336 gp, 9 sp, 7 cp
- 350 gp => MW Comp. Longbow (+3 STR)
---------
8008 gp
-1000 gp => Have MW Studded Leather enchanted to +1
-2000 gp => Ring of Protection +1
-4000 gp => Belt of Strength +2
-1000 gp => Cloak of Resistance +1
--------
8 gp, 18 sp, 14 cp remaining
Tun'ada |
A masterwork composite longbow with +3 strength rating is more than 350GP Tun'ada (not sure of the figure from the top of my head but masterwork is 300GP alone).
I thought we were pulling from the loot list (there is one such bow in the list) at "sell prices" if that is not the case, no big deal for me.
Chi T'reignial |
Chi won't be going to help out in melee like she did to start with ... very much trying to keep you all clear of traps and the like.
Hope this all works out and I've not spent over my allowance.

I'm also planning to purchase some parchment that looks exactly like the parchment upon which Yarzoth made her notes in order to create a forged copy - the forgery will of course contain misleading information in order to throw off anyone who steals it. I'll keep the forged documents in the mithral scroll tube, and the real documents will be stored in the Pathfinder Pouch.
Marcus Alanto |
So I think abstracting the purchasing is going to work better. Assuming that, Marcus will gopher between Ambroze and Tun'ada to free them up to work and guard respectively.
After a few days, Marcus will contact Ishorou and Aerys, the idea being to let them know whats happened and give them the chance to join the pathfinder expedition but also to gague the plans of the factions they are associated with (especially the Aspis). Maybe call them to the inn (although that just lets Marcus and Chi participate effectively) as the lodge might get them into trouble.
Marcus would also like to get something put on to the end of his wayfinder so he can clip it to his belt buckle.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
Deevor, not sure how I didn't manage to contact Jeremeziah with my e-mails (perhaps I have the wrong one :/) but you have successfully e-mailed him in the past; and for some reason theres no button to personal message him or his aliases.
Can you let him know i've written him out of the game due to his inactivity but if his schedule ever appears to be clearing up enough for him to be a regular poster again, hes welcome to join the game once more as he is missed.
Chi T'reignial |
OK Alex have done, will post any reply Jez may send.
I realise this is well into the adventure, but I didn't really realise until recently that native elves of the Mwangii have a natural language of Polyglot... If Chi could swap one of her languages, like gnome or even elven for that language it would make her background and languages more compatible, otherwise I'll try and remember to put a linguistics skill and get it next time. I do think its a bit late in the game for such a change, but if I don't ask....
Chi T'reignial |
Thanks AK....
Re: the expedition and disguise and stuff like that. I kinda thought we were going ahead of the main expeditionary force or at least arrange to meet the force some days later, just thinking of a ruse to get us someway along the path safely out of the way of prying eyes. No doubt they will catch up later, but Chi will feel more at home out of the city.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
Essentially you will end up 'trailblazing' for the expedition- trying to find the fastest routes, negotiating passage where necessary, assessing and dealing with any threats to the caravan itself...
Essentially you'll be one day ahead, max. You'll always be a little ahead of the caravan, placing trail markers etc. but never too far from it.
Marcus Alanto |
OK thanks all sounds reasonable to me. Shield master is definately on my list if we make it that high.
Can't afford to enchant the spikes at the moment. Playing around to see if I can afford to buy the bashing shield now and buy the spikes later. Will probably end up selling off the bow.
Edit:
Marcus has 7071.56gp to spend.

Hello, everyone.
Alex wrote to me (we have PM now?!) and let me know that people were worried about me and whether or not I was still alive.
First, I am alive, thankfully. The flooding we experienced a while ago led to structural damage of the house we were renting. This led to a contractor tearing out rotting drywall, which revealed extensive black mold. This led to losing most of our earthly possessions, including wedding and baby photos, and an incredible amount of stress all around. We had to find a new place to live. I got realllly stressed and dumped a lot of things to try to free up some mental space.
Second, I'm sorry. Really, really sorry. I dumped on you guys. I should have at least let you know so people weren't worried about me. That is completely my fault and I apologize.
I am thinking about getting back into roleplay gaming in the near future, so I will lurk for a bit and try to catch up on what has been happening with Paizo and Pathfinder since I last visited.
Thank you all, and good gaming.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
Hmm, it seems a little quiet in here.
Can we get a discussion going whether you guys would be ok if we re-introduced Tanner to the game? As i'm having to make changes to the AP for having 5 of you, its no extra effort on my part to accomodate 6.
Let me know your thoughts, either on here or via PM.
Marcus Alanto |
I'll be blunt.
If Tanner has the energy and interest and thinks he can keep up a decent posting rate then sure.
This game just about died due to Jer's on and off posting, we're only just starting to build toward decent progress and I'd rather not repeat.
To be clear Tanner, no ill-feeling at all from me in relation to this (or my game either). Stuff happens (and in your case obviously lots of stuff!). I'd say pretty much everyone at some point has pulled out of an internet activity in less than stellar circumstances and for less cause.
Tanner Nielsen |
You have very valid concerns, Dan. I don't foresee any problems in the future with my ability to post in a timely manner. My personal schedule is lighter than it used to be. I currently work part-time at a military base with a stringent internet filter, so Tuesdays and Thursdays I will be unable to post from 9-5. Otherwise, I am free and clear. I hereby pinky-promise that I will be open and honest about any possible changes to my personal schedule.
Deevor - I don't really have strange tastes! :) Alex told me that I needed a Small cavalier if I wanted him to fit everywhere in the campaign, and a goblin is way better at riding than a halfling or gnome. This time around, it's just a half-orc barbarian.

Well he was a great little cavalier and had a really good end too ...
I'm sure a half-orc barbarian will be fun too ...
Marcus Alanto |
Totem rage powers grant powers related to a theme. A barbarian cannot select from more than one group of totem rage powers; for example, a barbarian who selects a beast totem rage power cannot later choose to gain any of the dragon totem rage powers (any rage power with “dragon totem” in its title), unless she has the totem warrior archetype.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
So thats what the Totem Warrior archetype actually grants? Lets you use multiple groups of totem rage powers?
It seemed an empty archetype when you look at it, odd that its only ability is called out in a completely seperate section.
Edit: Would advise against the Superstitious archetype mechanically, its impressively weak. The superstition rage power on the other hand, is pretty decent.
Yelena Shukhov |
*switching to Totem Warrior archetype*
Edit: I just noticed something. Under the archetype header, it states,
"A character can take more than one archetype and garner additional alternate class features, but none of the alternate class features can replace or alter the same class feature from the core class as another alternate class feature."
The totem warrior archetype does not replace any class abilities. So technically, couldn't every barbarian take the totem warrior archetype in addition to another archetype?
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
James Jacobs doesn't know what Totem Warrior's meant to do and neither do I. Despite an overwhelming 50+ on the FAQ button for the subject... Theres never been a dev response on it. It seems every barbarian can be a totem warrior.
However, the line Marcus quoted comes from UC- before which, there was no evidence that a barbarian could take more than one totem. I don't allow UC in my games.
I'm inclined to allow the use of multiple totems, but much like the Master of Many Styles monk i'd want something exchanged for it. As it begins from level 1, that means it would have to be a modifcation to rage or fast movement.
If you want to be a 'Totem Warrior' I am house ruling that the archetype exchanges fast movement for the ability to pursue more than one totem. Therefore, you cannot stack an archetype that modifies the fast movement ability on top of a totem warrior.
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
Added to Campaign Info-
Spiritual Weapon-
As many may have suspected, all references to 'Wisdom' in the case of an Oracle casting the spell should be replaced with 'Charisma', so as not to unnecessarily gimp the Oracle.
Totem Warrior Barbarian Archetype-
In exchange for the ability to have more than one totem, a Barbarian taking the Totem Warrior archetype must exchange Fast Movement for this ability.

Yelena looks over the food options at the Pathfinder lodge for the evening meal. "Hmmm... mutton-" she turns and points to the other kettle hanging over the fire. "-or fish?" She purses her lips and rubs her chin in deep consideration. Suddenly her eyebrows lift. "Both!"
*Cue ravenous, almost violent consumption of food*
