And, Sigh!

Yea, for I have, after over a month of almost constant reading, finished one of the very finest PbP threads, or any fantasy story period for that matter, that I have ever had the privilege to read. And that is saying something! As I have read a LOT of them, both.

Sigh, for exactly the same reason. For while the story will continue, I'll no longer be able to sit for hours at a time reading, following, and getting to know and love (and sometimes really dislike) the spectacularly played characters in this impressive and addictive collective story-telling effort. Of all the many things I like about these vivid PC's, I think the aspect I enjoy the most is how consistent they have all been. Regardless if it was convenient for the story, or the other players, or what have you, each and every character (and thus the Players playing them) has remained consistent and true to their nature and essence, always. Can't even tell you how many times I wanted to push Qhude or smack Jakob upside the head for being themselves, only to cheer them a few posts down the road for working things out while still always remaining true to character.

All of the characters are so unique and interesting and, like the best kinds of onions or personalities, they keep revealing more and tastier levels to themselves the deeper you peel. Bravo you all. Bra-vo.

And of course let's not forget the gentleman who's made it all possible! DM AK, you are a First Class Games Master and Story Teller, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Thank you for creating such a wonderful sandbox for all these big kids to play in.

So, mostly, that's it, I wanted to gush about my enjoyment of this game and thank you all sincerely for all the avidly entertaining story-telling you've given me (and I'm sure many others as well)

Of course, that's not quite all of it. There is, obviously, an ulterior motive as to why I'm posting here in the Recruitment thread after all. I suppose it goes without saying by now that I would Love to join this game and be a part of this fine tale of adventure and intrigue. And it seemed to me that while you're all loitering about in town, this might be the perfect time to do so. So, I'm here to throw myself at your tender mercies and beg admission. Ok, well, perhaps not beg, as such, but perhaps bribe? a little?

I have been accused of spinning a fair tale or too myself in my time, I must say. I'm sure there's several examples of such lying around here somewhere. Oh, yes, well there's Ali, the Wild Druid (a homebrew Alternate class of mine). She's probably both the youngest and the oldest PC of mine around here. She's only 16 (we think) but she's been on Paizo for close to four years now I believe and is still going strong. Jorzan's fairly close to her in age, although he's only been slipping through the shadows here for only a year or so. Aylaeth, who's actually playing in a connected game (This DM is truly a mad genius by the way. Currently running three, yes THREE, count 'em PbP's and one of more IRL game all connected to the Same Massive World and Story!) is not too far behind Jorzan (although please don't ever phrase it that way to her). Akiros is fairly new, but he's certainly had a lot to say for a Ronin in the time he's been here. Haunted past and all that, although he seems to be doing better lately, now that he SEES things more clearly.

There's a few other notables about, but, anyway, you get my drift. I've been here for a while and have been around the block a time or two. Some may call me greedy for wanting more PbP, but I much prefer the term 'Blissfully Addicted'.

I was thinking that perhaps your great group of adventurers could use a little more lady on your team, and, no pun intended, there's this Dwarven maiden who's been knocking at the door of my mind lately. I'm not quite sure what she does yet, as she's been keeping her cards close to the vest thus far. But if I was to hazard a guess, I might say she's something along the lines of a 'Summoner'? I could be way off though.

Bottom line is, if you think either of us might be an interesting addition to your team, I'm sure I could coax her to come on out and play with you all. I seem to be noticing a twinkle of eagerness in her eye so it shouldn't be too difficult I'm thinking.

If not, we'll neither of us have any hard feelings, I assure you. And while she may move on to greener pastures, I, for one, shall be lurking around these parts indefinitely. You have been forewarned.

And with that, I bid you all a fond adieu (for now??) and On With The Show and all that, as they say (somewhere, I'm sure).
Yea!
And, Sigh!

It was a pleasure to read all of your submissions; I cannot stress enough the quality- theres not a single bad one in the bunch and I highly encourage you to re-post them for a Serpents Skull AP on the forums if your so inclined. Egen though some concepts not picked were strong, I also considered posting style/habits/frequency as well as group makeup. In the end I had to simply go with gut feeling ln a few picks and it took me several hours to finalise the group. I would love nothing more than to run another game in the form of a second group but alas I am constrained by time. With that said, those that applied and didn't get in will have a big edge in the next recruitment thread I post up; hopefully in a few months. Thanks for all your time and excellent submissions. Without further ado-

The Seven-

The seven players or characters I have chosen for the game are-

Olondir - Picklebeard - Dwarf Witch - Crown's End Smuggler

Mark Sweetman - Qhude - Mwangi Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist) - ?

Poor Wandering One - Jakob Mulle - Human Oracle (Nature) - Noble of Eleder

Ansha - Ansha Saeralyan - Elf Wizard (Enchanter) - Crown's End Smuggler

F Castor - Kieran Markavien - Half-Elf Rogue (Swashbuckler - eventually going Duelist) - Crown's End Smuggler

Meowzebub - N'bellocq - Mwangi Monk (Zen-Archer) - Laughing Jungle Hunter

Joana - Tebati - Mwangi Cleric (Shimye Magalla) - ?

This is more casters than I was expecting to pick but they all really impressed me. DM Barcas i'd love to have included you as well but I was set on Picklebeard and Ansha- three arcane casters in the group was too much I felt. You have first alternate slot if a player drops out (and i've yet to run a game where someone doesn't disappear from the forums no matter how awesome their concept; such is the way of PbP) if you are up for that.

Alternates-

1. DM Barcas

2. DM Aron Marcyzlo

3. Wander Weir

What now for the seven?
