Sorry for the slow posts. I am working 14 hour days trying to beat a work deadline. It has been limiting my internet access and leaving me exhausted in my off hours. Things will likely remain busy for me till the end of the month, but the worst is behind me.
Courage! You will defeat both the mountain of work and the mountain of food!
Hope things ease up for you. Jakob is counting on you to save his bacon when the [i]Charm Animal[/] spells fail.

Well it does fit. The young (from the timeless fey point of view) created their own language drawing from disperate sources outside the parent culture.
Face it Elves are Glorian's 4chan. I suppose that makes Drow the /b/?

Cross-posted.
Sorry all. Been quite ill all day so didn't get round to updating. Been having some quite serious problems around my stomach/intestines, seeing a doctor on Monday about it. Suspect an inflammation of some kind, although the lab results I got back showed I have twice as much e-coli in my digestive system as I should (I had 1% of what I should have last time I had it checked, took a skanky supplement medicine to restore it. Looks like it was too effective as now have 200%).

"Nature's exile can be removed with a bunch of spells we can't cast for several levels so Tabansi had better hope Zesaste and/or Ntisi are higher level than we are or he's screwed." :P
Not that we can cast it either, but dispel magic would work too, right? I'm never sure with spell descriptions that say "this effect can be removed with..." if the list is supposed to be exhaustive or not.

I'm not going to be offended if no-one stops me and just lets me leave. Qhude just doesn't do well in these sorts of situations where he knows that people are lying to him (even if it is just lying by omission).
Please hang around and pump them for as much information as you see fit to get :)

I'll be out of contact until the very end of July, due to a trip to Kiev followed by days spent packing up the flat i'm living in here in Ukraine followed by a 3 day bus journey back. Its easier to just declare my absence now rather than try and keep up with things during this busy time. Roll on August!
Consider the game on hiatus until the 1st of August. Feel free to keep RPing amongst yourselves if at all possible.

Wow, Khaladon. Thank you kindly for the praise; posts like that are what truly motivate me, in all honesty- i'm sure my players would like to hear it too though. Could you perhaps re-post this in the lurker-friendly discussion thread? I'll be out of touch mostly until early August but the others can chew it over until then :)
And so, as requested...(who am I to argue?? )
Yea!
And, Sigh!
Yea, for I have, after over a month of almost constant reading, finished one of the very finest PbP threads, or any fantasy story period for that matter, that I have ever had the privilege to read. And that is saying something! As I have read a LOT of them, both.
Sigh, for exactly the same reason. For while the story will continue, I'll no longer be able to sit for hours at a time reading, following, and getting to know and love (and sometimes really dislike) the spectacularly played characters in this impressive and addictive collective story-telling effort. Of all the many things I like about these vivid PC's, I think the aspect I enjoy the most is how consistent they have all been. Regardless if it was convenient for the story, or the other players, or what have you, each and every character (and thus the Players playing them) has remained consistent and true to their nature and essence, always. Can't even tell you how many times I wanted to push Qhude or smack Jakob upside the head for being themselves, only to cheer them a few posts down the road for working things out while still always remaining true to character.
All of the characters are so unique and interesting and, like the best kinds of onions or personalities, they keep revealing more and tastier levels to themselves the deeper you peel. Bravo you all. Bra-vo.
And of course let's not forget the gentleman who's made it all possible! DM AK, you are a First Class Games Master and Story Teller, Sir, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Thank you for creating such a wonderful sandbox for all these big kids to play in.
So, mostly, that's it, I wanted to gush about my enjoyment of this game and thank you all sincerely for all the avidly entertaining story-telling you've given me (and I'm sure many others as well)
Of course, that's not quite all of it. There is, obviously, an ulterior motive as to why I'm posting here in the Recruitment thread after all. I suppose it goes without saying by now that I would Love to join this game and be a part of this fine tale of adventure and intrigue. And it seemed to me that while you're all loitering about in town, this might be the perfect time to do so. So, I'm here to throw myself at your tender mercies and beg admission. Ok, well, perhaps not beg, as such, but perhaps bribe? a little?
I have been accused of spinning a fair tale or two myself in my time, I must say. I'm sure there's several examples of such lying around here somewhere. Oh, yes, well there's Ali, the Wild Druid (a homebrew Alternate class of mine). She's probably both the youngest and the oldest PC of mine around here. She's only 16 (we think) but she's been on Paizo for close to four years now I believe and is still going strong. Jorzan's fairly close to her in age, although he's only been slipping through the shadows here for only a year or so. Aylaeth, who's actually playing in a connected game (This DM is truly a mad genius by the way. Currently running three, yes THREE, count 'em PbP's and one or more IRL game all connected to the Same Massive World and Story!) is not too far behind Jorzan (although please don't ever phrase it that way to her). Akiros is fairly new, but he's certainly had a lot to say for a Ronin in the time he's been here. Haunted past and all that, although he seems to be doing better lately, now that he SEES things more clearly.
There's a few other notables about, but, anyway, you get my drift. I've been here for a while and have been around the block a time or two. Some may call me greedy for wanting more PbP, but I much prefer the term 'Blissfully Addicted'.
I was thinking that perhaps your great group of adventurers could use a little more lady on your team, and, no pun intended, there's this Dwarven maiden who's been knocking at the door of my mind lately. I'm not quite sure what she does yet, as she's been keeping her cards close to the vest thus far. But if I was to hazard a guess, I might say she's something along the lines of a 'Summoner'? I could be way off though.
Bottom line is, if you think either of us might be an interesting addition to your team, I'm sure I could coax her to come on out and play with you all. I seem to be noticing a twinkle of eagerness in her eye so it shouldn't be too difficult I'm thinking.
If not, we'll neither of us have any hard feelings, I assure you. And while she may move on to greener pastures, I, for one, shall be lurking around these parts indefinitely. You have been forewarned.
And with that, I bid you all a fond adieu (for now??) and On With The Show and all that, as they say (somewhere, I'm sure).

Add more to Team Lady? <shivers> We already have two of the strongest female Characters I have ever had the pleasure to game with on these boards...but you know that already having read up on us.
Good luck with the audition. Point of Reference: I game with Kaladon's Akiros. He approached that game the same way, as a midgame fill-in and has produce a LOT of QUALITY posts.

Thanks for the kind words Khaladon - I'm definitely having fun, and it warms the cockles of my heart to know that Qhude's nature is gratingly enjoyable ;)
As to the audition, I have no abject opposition to swelling the ranks back to seven... but defer decision to Team Lady and our illustrious tormenter.

Thanks Meowzebub! I didn't want to mention the Kingmaker link and have people think I'd bribed ya or anything, or, well, you know, double bribed ya.
And gracias Qhude! Yup, I'm sure none of us would want the loveable hardcase to be any other way.

Well, we did have a player leave at the very early stages of the game that we never replaced. And lo and behold, he too was a dwarf, if a particularly odd and smelly one at that... I suppose it would be a bit of symmetry to have another dwarf fill his shoes, so to speak.
All in all, I have no objections.

In my Golarion, female dwarves are beardless.
For my part, honestly, i'm as ok with 6 players as I am with 7. Will require a few tweaks to some future sections I have prepared but no big deal really.
If the group's up for a 7th player, we can discuss it. Would be a little unfair to any other lurkers (I know we have some :) ) who have been hoping for a spot though so it might need to be a very small recruitment pool. Will see if anybody else chimes in. Group, you can discuss it openly here or PM me your thoughts on a 7th. Thanks.

Khaladon- thank you for your praise but we'll be sticking with the 6 we have right now for a variety of reasons, after some thought on my part as well as some PM's from the group.
Chief among them is that one of my initial alternates still has "dibs" when/if the group loses a player and/or wants to add more (of the three, I believe only Wander Weir might still have time for another PbP).
Feel free to stick around and you'll be considered when/if a slot opens up and Wander Weir declines. I hope you keep reading and lurking :)

Jakob intends to get some sleep but is open to suggestions if the others want to cram some more into the day.
Qhude is likely resting in his bedroll at this point, awaiting the call of dawn and a visit to Cru-tho-ni-ax.
How late at night is it, DM? We do need to get together and share information, and the scheduled meeting at the Macini house might make it problematic to do it in the morning and still make the appointment; then again, we have to make sure Ansha gets 8 hours of rest to fix up her spell list, too.
