"What is this place? Puzzles in Azlant, more magic than you see in a year in Absalom. Wheels literally within wheels. Bound demons and wax golems? The expense must have been enormous. But why? To what end?"

Noooooo! Wait. Tahlaera uses Eviana Nirgassen's portrait from Second Darkness. I haven't used the Telandia pic from SD yet. You were right though, she looks very depressed. But I'll run out of blond elf women portraits soon enough, and then I won't be able to ever make a character again.

I had never noticed how nearly identical Eviana Nirgassen and Queen Telandia are in those pictures. Good thing one's in book 3 and the other's in book 6, or the art-laziness would be pretty blatant. :P

I feel horrid, I'm sorry. Also I am rather fearful about how exactly Ansha will take her revenge for my error.

I can still hold it open for you if you like Ther are a couple of folks taking their time getting everything together.

I find it amusing that you feared how Ansha will take her revenge for your error in not seeing my comment in time, but you don't fear how Ansha will take her revenge for you only listing me as your third choice. ;P

Damn I knew I should have run the election through PM.

Sorry but you are a magus. We have a summoner and a bard, we heed a divine.

Oh well free will was overated anyway. :7)

Haha. Ansha always did want a puppet for a husband.... ;)

Who says i'm not a kobold... It was a reward for my posting.

I took a picture of myself a few minutes ago to show off my new form.

Oh, that poor belt buckle... it looks so sad. :(

Seriously, you need to fire your armorer. That's the most impractical armor since the chainmail bikini. Leaving the vital organs unprotected, and then using a face to draw attention to another vital area? It's almost like he wants you to die, or at least not have heirs! Hmm... I'm guessing that he's in the line of succession. ;)

"No really, my liege, you will look totally fierce in this. Just clench your jaw and your fists, look away from them, and leave your chest unprotected like you don't even consider them a threat... yes, that's it! They'll be wetting themselves in fear. You won't even have to lift a finger! Here, I'll take your weapons so that you won't ruin the effect by drawing one out of habit... yes, perfect. Just like that."

That isn't the first time you've said this about this game. ;P

Nor will it be the last I expect. But it has been true every time.

I would argue that as long as Ansha is in it, it won't move away from it, either. That is to say, it didn't really move away from sex farce to horror show or anything else, and thus it didn't move back to sex farce. ;P

Note: cross posted with TarkTX's CoT game.
Sheesh it must be spring or something, two of my characters being pretty much blatantly propositioned in the SAME DAY. Lusty month of May is right!

Well there was the whole beheading, giant killer bugs episode. I say that sort of thing is uncommon in your average farce, but I just may be watching the wrong movies....

Hey, who propositioned Jakob while I wasn't looking?

Sorry for the slow pace on my part. I'm in the middle of trying to sort out my sleep pattern while simultaneously looking after a cat and a guest. Things should stabilise within a week.

No troubles. Hmmm could this all be entirely innocent? Could the precieved innuendos be all in my mind causinj me to do the good Eliandra a disservice? If so then perhaps I have been affected by May!

Strange forces that effect one such as to rob it of choice or volition, beyond that of a simple affect which influences but does not compel!

I decided not to pitch in the end, PWO. Nothing personal except that I absolutely hate Summoners.

If you would like to see something close to a summoner done right check out Geneforge by Spiderweb games. The demo is free and about a third of the game so you can get a solid idea. Story and mechanics are solid. This was really what I was hoping for with the Pathfinder Summoner but they made it too complex and far too easy to cheese.

oops, changed. Thanks for the kind correction Ansha.

Your Humble Narrator

I'm actually a very big fan of the Geneforge series, as well as Avernum and Nethergate.

And Eliandra is definitely flirting with you; whether she has an agenda has yet to be seen or perhaps its just part of the service ;).

I always suspected Ansha had a bit of grammar nazi demon in her heritage...

Sweet The creator/owner is an old friend of mine. I love to run across fans of his.

Ironically, my own usage of the word "affect" is grammatically incorrect. ('Affect' is always a verb. 'Effect' is almost always a noun, unless you are talking philosophical/metaphysical causation.)

DM AK wrote:

Does this mean I'm allowed to select tiefling-only traits and feats?

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

Yes - but you also have to take on the new Legalistic Oracle curse in Blood of Fiends to reflect the Grammar Nazi's new hold over you ;)

That sounds like it'd put a real cramp on Ansha's Chaotic lifestyle....

You're not online, AK; I've been watching for you. :P

Belril is up, although I assume he's going to continue holding the door....

Your Humble Narrator

I sometimes forget to sign into MSN. Omw.

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

I thought the conversation was going to end that way after her initial challenge... Qhude is a childish fellow isn't he ;)

Your Humble Narrator

I do love how easily he makes friends.

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

They just need to bond over a mutual love of bloodstained shorts and ritual body scarification... I mean everyone loves those?... don't they?

Your Humble Narrator

Oh yeah. Bloodstained shorts is the new black in Sargava. What does an old crone like Bellis Mara know?

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

Heh - in his defence it's only been 23 days game time since he started being anything but a flayleaf smoking pit fighting dishevelled wreck. The only time he's put on clean clothing is when the attendants at the palace stole his old set of long johns.

Shorts and his amulet was good enough for Utilinus... why is Bellis so picky all the way out here in Freehold :P

It's probably a good thing Tebati didn't hear Ansha's dig about 'civilized folk'. ;P

It's probably a good thing Tebati has no idea what Ansha's up to most of the time. :)

Grand Custodian Utilinus is a man ahead of his time. A pioneer genius who will bring the Chelish and Mwangi together- even the Mwangi man who walks around in shorts was tolerated within his very palace.

Joana wrote:

True. That way she has plausible deniability.

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

Of course I'm possibly waiting for Bellis to whip out the old retired monk kung-fu chop action and kick Qhude's arse into next Sunday...

Hmm... Halfling Monk. Now that is an optimisation challenge. Would have to be a grapple specialist.

Ansha wrote:

As an explanation it was poor, but "affect" can actually be a noun that "influences but does not compel" -- since it has an alternate meaning as a psychological term for your display of emotional state. As in, one of the defining characteristics of Asperger's syndrome is flat affect.

Disclaimer: I am not a psychologist. Just a grammar nazi demon. ;)

Your Humble Narrator

Link (probably NFSW)

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

Oi - even the Campaign blurb is telling me off :P

Your Humble Narrator

It seemed a catchy recent quote to use :P. One of Jakob's phrases was a close 2nd.

Male Human Haunted Nature Oracle 4 (Ac 20 Cmd 20 Will+4 Ref+2 Fort+4)

Yea! I'm in the running!

And to Grand Custodian Utilinus a disarm specialist would also work, and it would go with the 'thieving little halflings' stereotype.

Fredrik wrote:

Thus proving that demons always turn against one another sooner or later. ;P

The halfling monk is especially viable due to their favored class bonus. Apparently, once a halfling monk grabs you, you had better hold out for a 20 to escape...

You know, the thought occurs to me that Ansha could easily head off future problems with Qhude's blood-stained clothing. A little Prestidigitation, a failed Will save, and voila!

I've been assuming that between Ansha's prestidigitation and Tebati's create water, those of us who care about presenting a pleasant appearance to the world have been capable of staying reasonably tidy. No substitute for a real bath, of course. :)

And everyone will start to wonder why Ansha keeps staring at Qhude's crotch all of the time....
