"I never claimed to be a hero; never wanted to be one. I don't know why the Professor summoned me here. He must have hated me more than I ever knew...."
Ok, lets take the discussion over here and stop flooding the IC thread.
All existing character need to be put down to 20 point buy, if they aren't already.
I don't use Hero Points. I run Core+APG+ companion books. I won't be touching UM or UC; but if you do want to bring a Harrower in Talomyr i'm ok with that particular patron (as it has no UM spells)
Provided my remaining 4 are ok with it, PbemDM is welcome to join us.
In addition, if Theodric isn't replaced he will have to lose the Skill Focus feat.
Sarrah Kayden(Female Human Varisian Oracle - Life - 2nd (FC))
Sarrah checking in...
-1 to CHA (4pts)
-1 to WIS (1pts)
to 20 point buy. Other than a couple of skills I had to lower by one she should be updated and ready to go.
Its up to you Talomyr; but you might find Theodric a bit samey when your also playing Khalid.
Fair warning- PC's you swap out and Morven/Corinne might meet a messy fate. I hate tagalong ex-PC's and try to remove them as fast as possible, even if it stretches versimilitude a tiny bit.
Quiddling is ready to go (lost some con, wis and cha). It says "1 Hero point" on the char sheet but that's only because i don't know how to get rid of it in herolab. Got the same with my dwarf fighter and when i removed the hero point the program insisted that i was one feat short.

I know, that's the biggest reason I offered to switch out. I think I will go ahead and switch to Arianna. What do you want me to use for starting gold? (I assume she's coming in at 2nd level like the rest of the party.)
Go with the standard WBL. Its early enough if your over or under it won't make a huge difference. You'll have arrived late for the funeral- it would help if you could tie Kendra into your backstory as she'd ask you to help the others.

Got it. I will update the background to include arriving late and meeting with Kendra and finalize gear when I get home from work tonight.
Now added every other detail I currently want- including all the information you have gleaned thus far. Note you didn't make the DC25 history check for Harrowstone.
PbemDM, i've looked over the module and i'm going to have to make too many changes to accomodate five players. Regretfully, i'm going to just stick with the four I have, sorry. Am just spread too thin with all the games I run (and play!).
HP- Max at first level, PFS style average for every level after (D4= 3, D6= 4, D8= 5, D10= 6, D12= 7. Please make the changes accordingly.
Also waiting to hear if you four are ok with PbemDM joining up.
So we're reducing rolled hp to averages. Thats 2hp of Stannis and I'll lose the point of cold resistance. Wis to 10 (2 points) and cha to 15 (3 points). Painful but I don't think I can go under 14 con as the frontline.
Heh, actually I pictured her getting out alive but too frightened to go back in- unless you have any better ideas.
Won't be able to post until Monday sorry. Ball is in your court at the moment anyway.

@Patrik per Hero Labs: Go to "character" and then click on "configure hero". The screen will then pop-up. Find "Advanced player's guide hero points". Just uncheck it and then click on "Set defaults". That will set ALL of your created characters to that default. By selecting "OK", it will be just for THAT character.
Also, you can just edit the character and erase it. ;)
Hope this helps.
AK, the DMing MACHINE! How do you do it, my friend? Better yet, do you ever sleep? ;)
If you're satisfied with just maiming poor Morven and don't feel driven to kill him bloodily, she'd definitely try to lead him safely out. They had a nice moment the other night in the tavern. If they made it out, she certainly wouldn't be talked back in. Honestly, she never had a real motivation for going into the prison in the first place, other than that's the way the adventure was headed.
Alternatively, now that I've flipped ahead in the module to see what's coming up, the ghost of the warden's wife could possess her in order to communicate with the rest of the party, basically holding her hostage in that room to make sure the party completes the quest. Assuming she survived, the experience would either ensure she ran the other way back to nice, safe academia or drive her insane, depending on how Lovecraftian you want to get, as being possessed shatters her fragile personality.

I tried that at first but somehow hero lab insisted that i should have another feat when i removed the hero points. I tried it again and now it worked. Must have been drunk the first time :)

Harrow Card:
1d6 ⇒ 6
Crowns (Cha): You may spend a crown card to reroll any
one d20 roll you just made. You must take the results of the
second roll, even if it is worse.
1d9 ⇒ 2
Neutral Good: You channel positive energy
that cures a creature touched of an amount of
damage equal to 1d6 × your character level. This
effect damages undead creatures as spells like cure
light wounds.
May I assume your PbP dance card is full? The RotRL game I'm in has lost its melee guy, and we're looking for another player. I thought of you, but I also thought you had a pretty full plate right now....
Thought that was probably the case. Yes, it's Mythril's game. There's some great roleplaying going on, but we're having our lunch eaten by the bad guys right now combat-wise. :)

Bah, poor internet access and a girlfriend packing and leaving to Ukraine slowing me down. That and if the little goblinoid bugger had only failed the acrobatics check I wanted him to he'd be a goner now. Won't go into detail as I don't want to spoil for you in Navior's game.
Everythings ok it was just a very spontaneous two day trip to another town with limited internet access (and sleep). I just got home (5PM here) and have a family dinner to go to at 7PM- once i'm back from that at 11 or so my games will get updates- and then i'm off to Southampton to visit my friend James (EngineHouse here on the forums) and go to a friends birthday.
I'm not normally this busy. More frequent posting should resume monday.
Eh, I was thinking maybe her terror at the prospect of being trapped in her own body by a ghost and left in the dark and haunted prison all alone might make the ghost's control slip just long enough for her to beg the others not to leave her before the warden's wife wipes her emotionally blank once again. Or, depending on how manipulative the ghost is, maybe she'd let her control slip on purpose to encourage the others to be more proactive about helping her. It's quite possibly outside the bounds of magic jar by RAW, though.
Didn't really want to speak in the DM's place for Vesorianna, so I tried to just restate what she'd already told the party. Hope that's all right. Also, Dan E, are you reading these spoilers, or was it just a coincidence Stannis asked to speak with Corinne? ;)
Vesorianna's eyes darken and her pale blue lips curl up in seething fury.
Tell me, do you know how is it that the Splatter Man is weakening me? He is doing something in town to gain power over me, but I do not truly know what it is.
Pluck it from Corinne's mind, if no one remembers. She had noticed that the bloody letters on the statue began with a V, as did the warden's wife's name, although she was assuming that meant Vesorianna was the bad guy. Morven's smart enough to have figured it out, too, although I don't know what kind of mental state he's in right now.
Yeah good idea. I'm thinking shes going to release Corinne and take no hostages in return for Stannislav swearing an oath to come to her willingly when the first letter N is carved...
Assuming this all goes as planned would you mind making a few more guest appearances for Corinne, help me write her out? I'm thinking maybe she offers to get Morven out of Ravengro as hes essentially comletely vulnerable, being blind.
I swear I replied to this earlier, but my post obviously isn't here now. :P Sure, I'll play her until she can get Morven out of town. I obviously have time to lurk around here anyway.
She's actually a lot more fun now that she's an NPC. And slightly damaged goods. She can just say what she thinks, instead of worrying about party unity and going along with the plot. :)
I saw you got picked up in a Jade Regent game with Hu5tru. Watch out for her. I've lurked in two PbPs, and she's an absolute game-killing nightmare, imho. She quit in a huff in both of them because no one appreciated her roleplaying genius. :P
1. You must make a will save against an illusions DC+2 to realise it is an illusion and have its magical aura register while using Detect Magic. The increase in DC is to represent that your not really interacting with it in any sensory way (close inspection, using hands/hearing) as well as balancing a cantrip against higher level spells. This will save will be made by me in secret.
2. You will no longer be able to detect magic auras that are part of a trap until the trap is triggered. In the process of making a magical trap, part of the creation includes a permanent Magic Aura spell masking the aura. Resetting such a trap includes a re-activation of the Magic Aura spell.
These changes will kick in when you return to Harrowstone prison...
