Saphina sees her opening while the small dinosaur is jumping up in the air to attack Sir Adrian. She crouches low and uses her legs to propel her blunted rapier into a soft place in the creatures natural armor.

Okay then, Rakdon will cast mage hand. honestly, he has nothing useful he can do and he ain't using another sleep right now and he ain't going into melee


Nanbu and Fenri inflict devastating blows upon the creature. It feigns being hit soundly, then falls to the arena floor. The crowd is shocked by the turn of events ans the Bladefangs swift victory.

Saphina waves to the crowd and turns to the others Im glad those dinosaurs were trained to be non lethal. That might have been a lot different in the wild. Good job guys! Let’s go claim the spoils.


The party is brought up to one of the decorative upper chambers of the colosseum.

The merchant prince Kwayothé, a beautiful Chultan woman accompanied by three male and three female servants, greets them.
"Quite the performance, if not quite a satisfying show," she says. She congratulates the party and signals one of her servants to present them with their prizes. A bag of gold and the Oracle's Eye, A bright orange gem sits in the crevice of a curled piece of silvery metal.

Nanbu blushes slightly, having had a crush on Kwayothe since he first saw her, kind of like one has for a celebrity.

Does the curled piece of metal have any resemblance to the pieces of amulet that we have found so far? If so, does it have the same pull?

Sashah seems to get a little giddy, "I vould like some time vith zat."


Nanbu can tell that the gem would fit the other pieces of the amulet well. The casing doesn't seem as valuable or useful.

"Well, be off. There are important matters to attend to," Kwayothe says. The coins in the prize pouch are worth 20 gp.

Sashah can tell that the gem itself emanates magic, but not the casing. The gem seems to radiate the same magic as the other two pieces.

The group is shown out of the arena as the crowd prepares for more events.

Outside, Nerissa approaches them.

"Congratulations on your prize. So have you considered my offer for the casing?" she says.

Nanbu nudges Sashah and nods at the gem, Nanbu thinks that it will be okay to sell the trinket to lady, but the gem is the dangerous part.

"Thank you. As agreed, here is payment. For libraries, Chult has few. The city is not as given to learning as it should be, which are part of the reason for its troubles," she says, with a frown.

She pays you the 30 gp as agreed and bows.

Unfortunately, the human woman seems to be an expert at escaping detection. The halfling can't keep up and Nerissa disappears into the crowded streets of Port Nyazeru, though you think this won't be the last you see of her.

Back in Po's house, he pays the adventurers their reward. "Hmm I thought the Eye would have a casing. No matter... the important part is the gem. To Kwayothé it would be worthless; hidden away and collecting dust. At least it might be useful... Oh, I think Klevin in the Market Ward has some work for you... "

As Saphina slips in the door late from trying to follow Nerrisa, she overhears Fenri. Did someone mention “Fun”? I’m in.

The group, after resting, make their way to the Merchant's Ward.

This open area is home to the city’s marketplace, known to the locals as the Grand Souk. A vast array of stands, tents and small shops can be found along rows of walking paths around a grand square. The western end is occupied by grand villas bearing decorative banners, all near a decorative stonework palace which houses the city’s seat of power.
You arrive at a large storefront bearing a sign written in both Common and the native Chultan tongue. It reads: “The Weave of Life”. Po has said Klevin can be found within.

Ask the group walks through the marketplace, Fenri will stop at the various shops and buy the kitchiest things they have available.

Little statues of the Chult gods? Check.
Gaudy looking clothes? Check.
Weird looking jewelry made of local rocks? You bet.

The shop is a decorative array of garments and trade goods with an astounding variety. The shop is complete with self-published pamphlets on local customs and traditions.

A young human male with dark hair and green eyes, is found behind the shop’s main counter.

Klevin Van’Sheran! What might you be looking for today? The Guide to Chult and Port Nyazeru? It is said even Volo consults my wares!"
he says.
