In the best interest of survival through respect, "Thank you Mr ... what should I call you or would rather be addressed as Sir? ... Sir? In addition, my name is Tom and this is Spence." Tom leaves his Beretta alone hoping it is hidden enough, he will readjust it to make sure it is fully hidden when they are in their assigned house. One thing Tom has learned, never be unarmed in the apocalypse but obviously has a few more lessons to learn like you shouldn't travel on a paved road. Once inside our assigned house, Tom whispers to Spence, "Let's go with the flow for now and we will talk later."

"Agreed." Spencer looks around the house, setting his gym bag on one of the beds, or mattresses, or whatever they have. He rubs his face, clearing some of the dust from his cheeks and the tiredness from his eyes, and he feels the short, patchy hair on his jaw. Haven't shaved in weeks, and this is all I've got. He smiles despite everything that's happened, then turns serious again as he looks to the door. "Guess we're part of a 'clan,' now."

Tom looks at Spence, "I am worried, they did not look us over for bites. I mean I guess this could be a quarantine shed, which is something I would do but I am curious?" Tom walks over to the door to see if it is locked or still open.

The door is locked from the outside and a board falls to the ground revealing a clear window showing the slender man and another man wearing a military uniform is on the other side. He bends over to speak into the microphone "Who are you... the slender man says. "What is your business here....WHAT DO YOU WANT!". He pounds his fist on the the desk in front of him. He stares at Spencer and then Tom with boiling hate.

This is where you really need a little bit of good role-playing and rolls

Wait. We are in our new house right? I'm getting the image that we're inside and there's a window that was boarded over. They're outside looking in with some microphone system hooked up to speakers inside the house? And there's a desk outside, too.

Is the slender man, the same one that kidnapped us that is staring us down with hateful eyes? The reason why I am asking because the man who "recruited" us was also slender and he never told Tom and Spence his name even after Tom asked. Don't worry about us being out of synch and asking questions. It happens in pencil and paper as well. It is just to clarify things so we can properly role play the moment.

Taken back by the slender man's all of sudden even more aggressive behavior, Tom replies, "We are survivors like you and I wanted to see if you were taking precautions to make sure we were not bitten since you did not check us for bites or illness after "recruiting" us." Although Tom suspects Spence and him are most likely in a jail or an interrogation room instead of a quarantine room, Tom plays it off, "I think it is a great idea to place us under quarantine to make sure we have not been bitten and carry the crazy disease that would surely destroy this fort from the inside. It is something I would do if I had a fort. If you hadn't placed us under quarantine, we would have left because this place would be unsafe. And to reiterate before, my friend and I just escaped Atlanta which basically belongs to the crazies now. As for the weapons we carry, they are a combination of personal weapons because after all this is or was America, weapons from those who attacked us for no reason, and from an Atlanta suburb police department we were housed up in before it was overran by crazies. Before all of this crap began, I was an architect based in Atlanta and I will let my friend here tell you his pre-apocalypse occupation." Tom looks to Spence.

You guys don't have to go to bed after interrogation they have permitted you inside the town and you can look for shops and stuff but it will require a test. You can also ask Faldus(the slender man) for info or any of the locals. Just remember how much sleep you need at least six hours. It is currently 7:00 p.m.

It is 7:00 a.m and you wake to the sound of knocks on your door. The slender man named Faldus greets you and gives you some camouflage clothes and briefs you "All right our main objectives are to gather the most supplies and cause the most damage to the cultist organization alright if you dont know who or what the cultist are then listen up ... they are a maniacal group that worships the crazies....they think this was good news that it rooted out all the weaklings....rumors are they started this by some kind of gateway....recently they have been attacking neighbors known to sacrifice women and children by storing them for the rotting bastards to eat....they weren't like this before some religious guy rallied those morons under some fanatical belief....from what our scouts say there a lot more of them then us....anyway thats what I know some towns folk have been here longer and know more.... anyways these are the rules you can keep whatever you find while scavenging but raiding you must pool with the other spoils to be distributed for the good of the town....

He grabs his baton and sticks it in a pocket, or the waistband of his pants. He then dumps out the field bag and slings it over his shoulder, putting his flashlight in his other pocket. "I guess I'm ready."

Tom thanked Faldus for sparing their lives and being as hospitable as possible. Once introduced to their real cabin and being asked to take part in tomorrow's raid, Tom asks Faldus, "What weapons will be given to us besides our sidearm? If I cannot have my H&K, can we have another rifle to be more effective? And do you have cleaning supplies for the weapons and gear so that way we are prepared to be an asset instead of a responsibility or detriment?"

Regardless if both Tom and Spence receive better weapons but less than the PSG1 and cleaning supplies, Tom spends time to clean up, eat as well as he can, and rest the best he can under their new circumstances.

In the morning and after a good night's rest, Tom will get up and prepare as best as he can with the current gear and if any more gear is given to him or them, he will look over it and tell the group, "I am as ready I am able to be and whenever you all are."

He thinks for a second agoes to the truck for a second and then produces an AK47 and hands it to Tom and then after more rummaging produces a Mossberg(12 guage shotgun) and hands it to spencer. ″Now we have been low on ammo so only one clip per weapon~ He hands a clip of ak47 ammo to tom and 12 shells to spencer.

You mount the truck along with the others and you can see they dont just have 1 truck but several being loaded with supplies and surivors alike. As you drive you really take in the vast destruction of the city.When you arrive at the checkpoint everyone dismounts and crawls forward hiding behind objects and other things.As you take cover Faldus crawlsnext to you and whispers ″You can tell whos the enemy because they all have a mark on thier forehead Just as everyone gets into position shots ring out and an alarm goes off and several of the cultist open cages and run back to their comrades....as you start to see the contents of those cages and you see crazies spilling out of them...

Tom nods to Faldus in appreciation for the AK, "I understand, well aimed semi-automatic shots. First focus on cultists unless crazies pose an immediate threat."

At first, when Tom and Spencer were "recruited" to fight the cultist, he had his suspicions but those are now waning. Anyone that uses crazies as a weapon, there is something wrong with them. Tom scans and looks for cultists or crazies posing a major threat.

Does the AK have a 30 round mag or 40 round mag?

Spencer nods and takes the shotgun. Don't know much about the things, but da taught me a bit...

On the truck, Spencer sits quietly, the shotgun loaded and held in his hands. As the things start coming out of boxes, he clutches the gun a little tighter and looks around nervously, patting his pocket to make sure the collapsed baton is still there.

As a zombie suprises Spencer another attempts to know him to the ground
Thats an opposed strength test

4 Cultists take aim on Tom and throw what looks like throwing javelins with grenades attached and with pins pulled

In two turns these will blow up and depending on how much damage was done to you if its a hit you may not pull it out but you are allowed to manipulate the grenade part

Spencer grunts as the zombie rushes into him, then lets out a shout of pain as it tears into him. He feels another grab him and tries to throw it off... Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12... barely succeeding. Reacting without thinking, Spencer shoves the shotgun under the zombie's chin and pulls the trigger.
Also using Dodge on this zombie, so my Defense against its melee attacks goes up to 15.

Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 7) = 8

The blow clears the zombie head and its falls backward and the the one that has tasted Spencers blood comes back at him with increased ferocity. Another cultist makes a throw on Tom

Seeing that there is no time to get the crazies off Spence in time before the grenades going off, instead he crazily gets rid of the javelins in any safe direction at zombies or cultists. He is not aiming for them, just trying to get rid of them.
