You don't find any loot, but you do notice a secret door on the north wall of this room. It looks like it was specifically designed not to be openable from this side.

You go back to the previous room, through the north door, and enter a large octagonal room. The center of this room is a raised square platform a few inches above the floor, with a stone pillar at each corner. A gold-trimmed sarcophagus sits in the center of the platform, flanked by two statues of humanoid beings with canine heads (which you recognize as Anubis), each of which holds an ankh in one of its crossed arms. Stone double doors exit the room to the north and south.

Yeah, my mistake. You came from the south doors, and the north doors are the only other ones you see.


The sarcophagus looks like a sarcophagus.

No wait, there was something else!

As soon as Ptolem steps on the central platform, a mechanical "click" is heard. A moment later, the south door slams shut, and large iron bars slide over both doors.

At the same time, bolts of electricity arc between the pillars on the platform, electrocuting Ptolem!

Take 11 electricity damage, Reflex DC 15 half.

Meanwhile, the sarcophagus begins moving. Its lid begins opening and closing like a gaping maw, and it throws itself at Ptolem!

I thought Sneferka had, and didn't find anything. Given how infrequently most of us post, it may be better to start rolling Perception for us when we come into a room so we're not waiting two days for something to happen.

A Hunter does just as well there as anywhere. We could use an archer though. I guess it COULD get crowded if you ever get your Animal Companion. But ultimately it's whatever's more fun for you.

It might actually be better for you guys to Aid Another on Talos or myself a lot of the time at this point, given all the DR running around. Unless you roll a 5 or 6 you deal 0 damage to anything with DR.

Meanwhile, the northern doors suddenly burst open. A torrent of water rushes into the room, from a grate in a small chamber on the other side of the doors.
