Yah things have been sloppy due to the rollout of Starfinder and such. You blade slices into Lamm as he stands up (since his AC is -4 lower), but fails to bite into his new skin.

After Lamn stands up, a greataxe glowing with a baleful purple light appears in his hands, as if by magic. "Time for vittles, Num-Num!" Lamm rasps.

No desire to shift a square to flank, assuming that's an object that doesn't impair movement, or perhaps requires an acrobatics roll to jump up on, providing a +1?

Trying not to worry about the snatches she’s hearing and seeing from where Headsman, Yanis, and the Albatross are trying to bring Lamm down, Machaera closes to try to help Io get rid of the unearthly hound so they can join the others. Going all out, the mage pulls an evanescent shield of force around her even as she bolsters the edge of her blade, steps forward, and lunges.

So, swift action to dip into her arcane pool, then using the full round to cast shield, 5’ step, and attack with spell combat. 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 2 = 11 Damage if hit: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6 Doesn't look particularly promising. As to DR, I've got some things that do energy damage, but no special materials, I'm afraid.

The chests do block the way, though you can try an acrobatics check to stand on the chest and balance it.

@Albatross your blade misses Gaedren cleanly.

@Machaera you also miss the hound.

@Headsman the dice bot hates you.

@Black Merlin, you're up.

when the old man glares at him, Headsman stumbles back. He moves to take another swing at his nemesis, but is caught by memories of beatings and terrifying wrath, of being locked in a dark closet or beaten within an inch of his life.

"No!"

Lamm's brutal strike, meanwhile, hits through, inflicting a critical gut wound. Headsman stumbles back, coughing up blood, and collapses against the wall, his axe falling out of his hands and clattering to the rotten wood floor.

Turning to Io, Machaera gives a nod to acknowledge that the young woman did most of the work in bringing the beast down, and adds a quick word of encouragement, “Go! I’ll be right behind you!”

As the report of the Black Merlin’s pistol cuts through the fracas, Machaera does her best to draw Lamm’s attention away from the others, shaking the blood of the criminal’s pet from her sword with what she hopes is a threatening flourish. “Like wolves to the slaughter – come and get me, Gaedren! But I forget, you slinking things are cowardly beasts, aren’t you?”

Even as she shouts her taunt across the room, even as she worries about the wounded young man at Lamm’s feet, about how she can get close enough to help finish this, Machaera remembers a coolly efficient put-up job, framing her for murder, and knowing how close she is to taking her vengeance only sharpens her calculations.

Machaera sets off to join the others as quickly as she can, but her progress is impaired as she reaches backward with her free hand to extract something from a side pocket of her pack even as she races forward – something that looks like the bare hilt of a weapon, as her fingers finally close around it and she comes to the turn in the walkway that she’ll have to make…
