My character's just about done. I decided to use Myth Weaver's to post my character. All that's left is for me to finalize items / gold now and actually fill in background which is interspersed through this thread. Trying to keep a light load is hard.
If it's okay, I put the link to my character sheet in URL under my alias and I'll only put the text of class features and other special items in the actual alias; instead of stats.

That's perfectly fine!

So about how much daylight and travel time is possible in a day in clear weather? Obviously snow storms will lessen the amount you do.
The weather outside of the Malar Pass is more mild, so by foot it would take a good eight hours of walking to get to the mouth of the pass, and likely another 4 to make it through, depending on how careful you all take it.
Beyond that is difficult to say.
The Duchy of Lores is a pretty small territory.

I have 1 gold piece to my name and am Medium Encumbered but my character sheet is finished except for background flavor text and personality. Khriox, feel free to review if you want.
Thanks.
Everything looks good, except I can't see your gear. :)
EDIT: Nevermind! I saw the MystWeavers link! You're good to go, pal. :)

I'm just fine with getting things moving, granted I need to actually write up Ragnar's background tomorrow.
I've got a horse to carry extra gear for people if needed. Unfortunately I'm an archer, so my strength isn't that high myself, so I'm only carrying the gear I absolutely need myself. The horse helps for carrying stuff that I may not need fast access to at all times though.
Grunyar Tos |
Working on my wolf companion and shopping, then on to background.
My wolf starts with 2 HD at Level 1 and gets a third at Level 2 (no HP increase at Level 3). I assume I get Max HP for the first HD and roll the rest (then add my CON modifier to each)?
Wolf HD 2: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Wolf HD 3: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Yup. Looks good.

So the way i figure it Grunyar and I are brothers that live in a cabin a couple hours walk outside of town. We survive mostly off hunting and trapping, occasionally selling extra game in town for some coin. We also work as guides from time to time when people's need for a guide outweighs their dislike of the grim and dour brothers. We are most frequently guides for the local militia, which is fine as it provides some drinking money.

You both likely had to temporarily move into town due to the blizzard, the walls provide better shelter. The high winds busted up your cabin and has been making trapping/hunting almost impossible.
And then you're called in to see the Seneschal! Sound good?

Are you suggesting Dwarf construction isn't up to handling a little wind and snow? Because insulting a dwarf's construction skills sounds like you want to fight.
But joking aside, that works for me.

I thought I was safe to drink while reading on this thread! Good job. :P

Okay, I'm ready for the campaign... For now. Unless I need to post encumbering... I don't even know the weight of my gear... But I do know it's not enough to encumber me. I spent most of it on gear that weighed 1lbs without being small,(the whole weighs 1/2 as much rule). So to guess I'm somewhere near 50lbs
I think the heaviest thing in my inventory is my wooden armor at 12.5lbs, and second likely the alchemist kit...
Edit: nope... Alchemist kit is most at 25lbs...

Do animal companions get traits? I know at Level 3 my wolf gets 3 skills, 2 feats (plus the shared Teamwork Feats from Hunter), 6 tricks and 2 bonus tricks.
If he gets traits, I'm just going to give him the same ones as his master.
As far as I know, no... Traits can apply to companions but they don't really get any...

So rules question, how does PbP work for this campaign? I know pathfinder is every 6 seconds is a round. Is it everyone makes 1 post then GM posts, and then everyone makes 1 post in any order and then GM Posts again and so on? I ask b/c in the T1 roleplay I did we were locked in the posting order of the original posts.
Also what are the languages up here? Reviewing my sheet, I realized I have 7 linguistics skill which means I know 7 languages.

I'd prefer traits just to be for player characters. :)
@ Pip: I think we'll do something a little looser, I'll likely post to people often with replies to their questions and for their rolls, instead of saving up for giant posts.

I think only your ranks in linguistics give you languages.

That's true. Linguistics checks are for like exotic dialects of a known language. Or for figuring out a language that isn't standard, like ancient languages.

How will we be handling animal companions' actions in this campaign? I'm fine with describing what I want my wolf to do and the GM making the appropriate rolls to see if he listens/does it. I'm OK playing him as a second PC, too, but that might make him too obedient.
Give commands to him and I'll do rolls and such things.

I'm working on crunch still, had PFS Friday and threw up some fluff, but I'm not sure how well Adrian knows everyone.
[dice=Adrian's HD]2d8
[dice=Lissa the Tigeress' HD]2d8I'll have the character finished shortly, 140gp is not much to spend. Sorry for the delay.
Go ahead and reroll that 1 for Adrian's health, pal.
And no worries! Take your time.

[dice=Thanks for the mulligan!]1d8
Just about done with equipment. Got Lissa trained, got my gear and skills and feats, just need to pick my spells and I'll be set.
Don't sweat it.
I once played a Rogue in a DnD 3.5 campaign and rolled a 1 for HP on my 5th, 6th and 7th level.
That DM didn't do mulligans.
I swore I'd never let a 1 be rolled for HP in my presence as DM ever since. :)
