Lol, and when Vivian wakes up from her charitable stupor she'll resort to living in the Crypt and haunting the next band of merry youths. "You can't trust your friends! They'll make you into a monk!"

Brezik will be taking a second level of rogue. Thought really hard about taking ranger for heavier armor and martial weapons. But wanted my skill point goodness too much.

Yeah for evasion. For his Rogue talent he'll be taking minor magic and gaining the ability to repair items through magic thanks to the 0th level spell mend. Guess he's taking a little bit after his mother when it comes to the spell casting stuff.

Hit-points: 1d8 ⇒ 3

I guess I'm taking 1/2 hit die+1 for 5(hd)+3(con)+1(favored Class)...9 for this level+15 1st level= 24 hp total. uh oh... you high rollers might start to catch up...

This may be the most rewarding level up I've ever had. This crypt is tough! 2nd level is huge for me. My new class abilities are:

Lay on Hands: 3/day (heal 1d6 damage).
Divine Grace: Add Charisma modifier (+3) to all saves.

Hit Points: 1d10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8 (+6 HD +1 Con +1 Favored Class)

I'm curious what everyone else gets for leveling up?

Halfling Inactive

Hit Points: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Unfortunately it's a rather bland level for me. I get a base attack bonus, 3 skills (including favored class), a will save, and a 0 level spell, which is going to be prestidigitation. Brezik repairs the clothes, and Qina cleans them. Still though, it's been the most fun I've had on the boards.

What? I generally believe a character should improve himself based not only on the players wishes, but the experiences the character has too! I even took a point in Knowledge (History) due to all of the history of this place he's picked up.

Alright folks, time to level! Taking another level in Cleric.

HP: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 = 7 1d8 +2 CON +1 Favored Class

Looks like we're going with 5+2+1=8

Level two is weak for me too, every odd level will be strong though with a new spell and domain levels. Anyways get my BAB, more fort and will save, one more cantrip(Virtue), and 1-lvl spell(Doom). A lot of interesting spell choices, I've chosen Bless, Bane, and Doom so far because they fall pretty perfectly inline with someone barking orders in a battle to buff/debuff the field.

3 skills points went to Diplo, Kn(Religion), and Sense Motive

GM Fez, would it be in the realm of possibility to use Handle Animal to calm one or more of the frogs? It's typically intended for animals that are already domesticated, but Allister will be awful torn if he has to attack a frog.

Sounds to me like Allister might want to take a few levels of Ranger then eventually...A Ranger or Druid could use Wild Empathy checks -possibly- with a really good roll to calm them. But my guess is that these particular frogs are too hungry and it would be almost impossible to calm down even with a Wild Empathy Check.

That would be an interesting dip, would work great from a character perspective. Ranger would get Favored Enemy too and he'd stay on the Full BAB path.

We do, don't we. Knowledges we're missing are Local, History, Dungeoneering, and Geography?

Sounds good to me though, I'm going to drive Viv down a Diplomacy-Knowledge(Religion)-Sense Motive path with skill ranks every level to facilitate some of our Face issues. Quite fitting for her aspirations as a commander as well.

Bluff might be an issue for us still...

Any other holes we can think of?

=)

EDIT: My suggestion is to take a level or two of Bard. Or, if you really wanted to push it, you could try the Variant Multi-classing (Bard) if GM Fez allowed it. You give up a few feats int he end, but you also gain several class abilities with it in exchange.

Desc. of ITEM / Who May Want It/Deserves It.

Wand of Magic Missile (CL 3rd, 22 charges)/ Qina of Course...shes the only one who can use it.

Bracers of Armor +1 / Qina or Gad...Maybe Brezik?

Horn of Fog / I think this is Vivian all the way.

wizard's spellbook / Qina (Spell Research Info?) - or we can sell it for some cash maybe.

354gp in newly minted coins /Divided evenly along with all the other coins we have collected so far.

Kassen’s sarcophagus is open, and the lid is lying next to it. His body is intact, save for the broken links of a chain that lie around his neck—the medallion it once held is missing. Kassen is dressed in resplendent full plate with a longsword resting on his chest.
-OK, With All due respect to Bel and his Goddess:
Vivian or Al could really use the Full Plate armor here. Just saying.

The Everflame lies above the sarcophagus.
-What is this? An everburning Torch basically?

Asar's corpse has with magic eyes +1 chainmail and a +1 longsword.

Bel should take the +1 Chainmail probably, and anybody who can use a Longsword could take the magical one...(Allister, Brezik and me all have proficiency in Longsword I think.)

What do you all think?

Qina would accept the wand. Gad can have the bracers and longsword. I'm not a fan of the horn of fog for this particular group. Sell the spell book. I wouldn't take Kassen's stuff but then again I can't use it. I lean towards usefulness over balance when distributing treasure, but maybe that's just me.

I won't accept anything personally for Gad until the whole group has chimed in at least once each.

I would take the bracers gladly, but the Long Sword...he could use it, but he cannot use it as some others could effectively, especially since it is not a monk weapon. I would take it in the end if nobody else wanted it, just to have a magic weapon in the group, but that would be the only reason.

Could we swap some armor for the full Plate? Dress him temporarily in it? Then bring it back later if we no longer need it/find something better?

I would like to hear Bel's personal opinion on this really too.

Can we speak with the dead yet? We could ask for permission to borrow it... (I think it is a second level spell?)

As for the Horn...I usually hesitate to give up permanent magical (no charges) items without a really good reason, but I have to say the Horn does not lend itself to much personal interest. Too loud...too limited. Possibly Brezik could find a good reason to use it?

I'd prefer to leave the plate mail. Sell the longsword, sell the horn, sell the spell book, buy new plate mail. Or better yet, buy raw material and build a few.

Plate mail takes a long time to build, and it looks like our journey will move us out of town soon...but you are correct. We may be able to trade some of these items for a better suitof armor (for someone who might want it) back in town.

The other magic weapon currently in the group is the dagger Vivian pulled from the fire that Bel used to kill the shadow.

Good point! I'd forgotten about that one.

Well the way I see it...

Gad should get the bracers, it's the only armour he'll ever get.

Qina gets the wand

Flog the book

Split the cash

The horn I quite like, it's an inexhaustible wand of obscuring mist essentially, until we have something we need the cash for I say we/Viv keeps hold of it. A least for the epic entrance we could make in town wreathed in mist!

We cannot loot Kassen or the flame! We have been sent on a holy pigrimage for our town. We can't say "the tombs were disturbed by some robbers, so we finished the job for them." That is not Bels religious view though. He holds no particular reverence for bodies beyond what is expected by society, once the lady of the graves has the spirit. But Kassen is special!

I'd be more than happy to accept the mail if no-one else wants it.

As for the longsword, maybe we could try to swap it for some other weapon in town?
