Okay, I've caught up to the last time the group slept. You all have had a fun day! I updated my spells left based upon what Helaku cast today, hedging the number to be one less remaining than I counted in case I missed something. I also got the gist of what is happening so I am good to go for resuming.

Ambrose Harrowfield |

Greetings and welcome to our merry warband, good to have you along.
I did indeed take the ring of protection+2. Suppose I'll take a potion of Jump and Invisibility as well. I'd like to keep the +2 Full Plate around if that is okay - I might upgrade to it soon depending on how savage the enemies get. I just prefer medium armor in general.

Harek Ironshirt |

"I kinnae wai' ta start choppin' and slicin' monstahs agin! Me axe needs wettin' wit' blood o' me enemies!"
I am ready to proceed, happy to get back to the adventure and excited to see how we deal with this lich fellow.

GM Elberion |

Just waiting for Shaylar to put in for the loot.
Then we'll get lichin' again.

Helakuu |

Do y'all want me to put up a post in game to sorta reintroduce myself? I would pretty much just do a diplomacy aid another.

Helakuu |

Ooooh, I just saw there are 3x bracer's of armor. Helakuu would like one of those. I know they don't stack with my mage armor spell, but it will give him a static armor bonus when sleeping plus make it easier down the road to gain very useful armor enchants (deathless, light fortification, staunching, spell storing to name a few).

GM Elberion |

Okay,
Make sure the equipment you have snagged is on your sheets.
This fire-sale adds 17,877GP to the party funds.
For a total of 23,874gp
It's a shame you guys never reach any shops!

Sweet sweet monies!
I'm guessing that we had an opportunity to rest? If so Helakuu will perform a few morning rituals prior to the meeting with the lich.
Morning Rituals
Wake up and cast mage armor.
Use a quick prestidigitation to get the nightly crud off and change into traveling clothes.
Cast read magic to prepare any scrolls for use (non currently).
Grab breakfast and then have a nice chat with Abukcheech while getting Cayenne ready for the days ride.

Helakuu |

Where is the phylactery? I can grab it from whomever if that person isn't free to post.

Harek Ironshirt |

Not sure, actually.
I think it's reasonable to suggest we hand it over without issue.

Helakuu |

I would be fine with that. I would also like to attempt to gain some info from him about the hobbo's, I don't think the lich is really thrilled they stole it and might give us some info to help us take them out.

GM Elberion |

Just a warning, I am off on holiday in a few days.
There should be wi-fi but my posting might be erratic for the next two weeks.
Expect a longer post this afternoon.

Helakuu |

Oops, just realized I never tried to diplomatically attempt to get some dirt on the hobbos, oh well. Understood about vacation, enjoy!

The only dirt we need on goblins is the gravedirt covering their stupid faces!
J/K, it's all good I think.
BTW, do we have another 'mission' now that the Lich/RHoD alliance has been thwarted?

Helakuu |

The only dirt we need on goblins is the gravedirt covering their stupid faces!
That made me chuckle, thank you. :D

GM Elberion |

I just want to check: everyone is on horseback apart from Leonar, right?

GM Elberion |

Not sure if Shaylar is still on holiday. Will bot later.

Harek Ironshirt |

Just an FYI: I'll be heading for vacation from the 12th-20th.
I'll have my phone and will try to post but if necessary, please bot me.
Thanks!

GM Elberion |

Fair play,
I'm home tomorrow so should get more posts.
I rolled the weakest opponent on the random encounter table and rolled the lowest possible number of foes. Reminder of how badass you cats are!

Helakuu |

Sounds like a plan. I check it daily and don't have anything coming up soon that might interrupt.

GM Elberion |

Okay, this is exciting.
Your characters have just hit level 9!
You may roll hit points (re-rolls 1s or 2s) or take the average for your class (remember, Pathfinder rounds down).

Helakuu |

It is very exciting. I get some very very useful spells @ 9! Thanks for getting us moving along again!

Ambrose Harrowfield |

Huzzah!
I remember planning on taking Leadership at 9th level, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary at this point (especially if we plan on ceasing the game after the adventure's conclusion; I like Leadership more for RP reasons).
HP: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
+1 BAB
+1 Ref / Will
+7 Skill Rank (4+1 int +1 human +1 FC)
+1 Perception
+1 Ride
+4 Diplomacy
+1 Sense Motive
Emissary Bonus Feat: Trick Riding (Do not need to make Ride checks for anything with a Ride DC 15 or less, can use Mounted Combat hit negation twice per round instead of one. Emissary can utilize this feat in Medium armor)
Level 9 Feat:
Smoke:
HP: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13 (toughness)
+1 HD
+1 BAB
+1 Fort / Ref
+1 Skill (Acrobatics)
+2 Natural Armor
+1 STR & Dex Bonus
+1 Ability Score (STR)
Just need to puzzle out a feat for myself.

Leonar |

Speaking of Leadership as a feat, I have the Nobility domain which grants that as a bonus feat at 8th level. The prior DM and I were supposed to discuss that at some time, but we never got around to it. Since we have a full party now, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if perhaps I could substitute another feat for it, instead, DM.

GM Elberion |

I am totally cool with taking the leadership feat and, with your arrival in Brindol, we could easily RP in something.

Helakuu |

Stole your formatting Ambrose, it was nice. Thanks!
HP: 3.5 + 1 Toughness + 1 Con + 1 Favored = 7 (7 on odd levels and 6 on even levels because of rounding)
+0 BAB
+1 Fort/Ref
+3 Skill Ranks (2 base + 1 human)
+1 K: Local
+1 K: Arcana
+1 Use Magic Device
Bloodline Bonus Ability: New Arcana - 1 extra known spell, used to learn spell 3) Daylight
Spells Known Gained: 2) See Invisibility, 3) Communal Resist Energy, 4) Resilient Sphere
Bloodline Bonus Spell: 4) Dimension Door
Level 9 Feat: Spell Penetration (+2 to overcome Spell Resistance)
Updated Spells Per Day on Sheet
Abukcheech (familiar)
HP: 1/2 of mine = 29
+1 HD
+0 BAB
+1 Fort/Ref
+1 to K: Skills (uses my ranks and his mods)
Int = 10 (removes -1 penalty and thus improves K: Skills and Spellcraft by 1)
+1 Natural Armor

Leonar |

Druid (Lion Shaman) level 9
-------------------
HP 1d8 ⇒ 1
Reroll Ones 1d8 ⇒ 7 + 2 Con + 1 FC = 10
+1 Ref
+5 Skill Rank (4+1 human)
+1 Perception
+1 Fly
+1 Know. Nature
+1 Survival
+1 Handle Animal
+1 2nd level spell (Burst of Radiance) and +1 +1 Wis 5 level spell per day (Call Lightning Storm, Fire Snake)
Level 9 Feat: Spell Focus Evocation
Bonus Feat from Lion Shaman: Lunge
-------------------
Level 8 Feat: leadership. I've never taken leadership before. Any ideas from the group on what we might want as a follower? Or does the DM want to introduce someone/something?

GM Elberion |

I'm willing to be flexible.
My experience is of fellow players using the feat to
A: fill a perceived gap in the party
B: enable some tactic or strategy of their characters
C: fulfil an RP role, like looking after a castle while we are off adventuring.

Ambrose Harrowfield |

Since Leonar gets the feat anyway as a class ability I'll definitely choose something else; certainly don't need two of us with cohorts I don't think.
I'll probably just pick up Improved Critical for the bastard sword.

Helakuu |

While obviously I haven't been with the group long enough to see specific needs or have contact with NPC's, I do have a suggestion. I'm thinking most useful would be a cohort that can supplement our knowledge skills, provide some out of combat spells/healing and handle the horses.
I would want said cohort out of combat range quickly, yelling at us as he collects our fleeing horses his best guess at what we are fighting. A bard could do this well. A cloistered cleric also would be quite good at it.

Harek Ironshirt |

1d10 ⇒ 1 HP
Reroll 1s
1d10 ⇒ 5 (+3 con, +1 FCB) = 99 total hp
Skills: perception +1, sense motive +2, survival +1
Feat: greater weapon focus (Dwarven waraxe)
Bab +1
Ref & Will +1
Weapon Training 2 (axes +2, light blades +1)

GM Elberion |

Except for Smoke of course, who will be charging towards the enemies ;)
It will feel good to do some mounted combat again!
Dapples is combat-trained as well!
Leonar, I can make Trenalla the appropriate level if you choose to go that way.

Helakuu |

Tis your decision at the end, but I would support it wholeheartedly.
