Jon, The Evil DM |
Hello, everybody! We have, unfortunately, lost three of our players for this adventure, and I'm looking to recruit some replacements that will show up once the party leaves the Westcrown sewers. I'll be leaving this thread open for about a week, giving the current party time to get out of the sewers, and to their new base of operations. You all will be joining them upon their arrival, as current members of their little resistance group.
The party, at the moment, is in need of a strong melee character, a ranged combatant/switch hitter, and some type of arcane support. We have just lost our paladin and arcanist, and our investigator bowed out earlier. By no means do you have to replicate the class/role of anyone who left exactly, but playing to similar strengths is what will get you recruited. Anyone who applied previously, feel free to apply again with the same or different characters.

I'd be more than willing to bring you aboard. For the moment, character creation rules are still up in my first post, but I will be making another post detailing it in full some time tomorrow; I will be available for questions as needed, as all my classes for tomorrow were either moved or cancelled. I also ask that potential players read through what has occurred in the game thus far, so as to see the party dynamic as well as the capabilities of those remaining.

Also, as a note, just received word from the investigator that he's all set to rejoin the campaign, so I'm only looking for two applicants. If you were working on an applicant who is a switch hitter or something similar, feel free to continue! If I like the character, you're just as likely to be selected as someone else.

However, Skalezaar recently found his chance to change things and perhaps not just rebuild the city's chain of power, but put himself somewhere at the top where he belongs. A chance encounter with members of the Westcrown Resistance navigating the sewer network made him a desirable asset - after all, kobolds are notorious trap makers and experts in stealth. Not to mention, having someone familiar with the sewer systems would make getting around unnoticed much easier. Offering him a chance to change things in his favor and topple the current rulers of the city, Skalezaar agreed to work with the Resistance and lend them his might in exchange for promises of power and wealth when their task was accomplished.
Skalezaar has a way with words, having grown up in a tribe that reveres Asmodeus. He realizes that like it or not, he lives in Cheliax, and that one must be aware of language when mingling with devils and their ilk. Skalezaar is wary to accept aid unless it may benefit him in some way, which can make him hard to work with at times. However, his one major weakness is a fondness for gemstones and other glittery objects (rubies in particular), making it easy to persuade into doing things.

Yep, I read through the gameplay thread as well.
All I can say is... ouch. RNGesus hath not been kind to thee.
Anyway, I've completed my submission for this campaign.
Tassira Vantyev: a sorceress of the old bloodlines, raised in a devil-worshipping household, but determined to fight them any way she can.
Perhaps she can join the party at some point near the end of the trip to the safehouse?

Well, I am fantastic at Swashbucklers, though I am a little tired of the same ole... However, if you need an unbelievably reliable frontliner, I'd consider one more, especially since I've been reduced to one by closing games.
However, my better ideas are flowing more towards Warpriest or possibly a two-fer like a summoner or Hunter... could fill your switch hitter role.. Lemme know if any of this sounds good to you, I'll work up concept and stats when I get a moment.
