As the Lizardfolk travel on foot, Szymon and Tatiana walk with them into the Kobold Lands, not far from Trivium. They follow the north margin of the Shrike River until it turns south, and then they go west into the gentle hills of the Kobold Lands, not with hurry, but trying to find some evidence of where the Kobolds can be, and how to contact them.
Ok, I need:
- Marching Order
- Where to of the Kobold Lands?
- Do Szymon and Tatiana have horses?
- Preparation? Armed to the tooth? Seems unarmed? How are they dressed?
- Perception Rolls

Szymon has a horse but will leave it in Trivium, in order to travel shoulder to shoulder with the lizardfolk. Using his Sleeves of Many Garments, he will be dressed in simple traveler's colors and outfit: brown leathers and natural colors.

I suppose the marching order will vary. Sometimes the boys are in front to chat, and some times the lizardfolk are in front, since they probably know the way.

He would suggest exploring the hex northwest of Trivium beyond the river first. Then travel north going counter-clockwise through the area, ostensibly looking for their lair.

Szymon wears breastplate, an aldori sword, a morningstar, and a longbow. Armed, but not to the teeth.

Tatiana has a horse but will leave it in Trivium, in order to travel shoulder to shoulder with the lizardfolk. Using her Sleeves of Many Garments, she will be dressed in simple traveler's colors and outfit: brown leathers and natural colors.

She would agree to explore the hex northwest of Trivium beyond the river first. Then travel north going counter-clockwise through the area, ostensibly looking for their lair.

Tatiana wears fullplate; however, since it does not inhibit her movement, she attempts to conceal it under her outfit. She equips a morningstar, dagger, and a light crossbow. Armed, but not to the teeth.

Topper Red follows behind Tatiana occasionally singing gentle, traveling songs, ie background music.

You take topper red with you? Nice! Will Tatiana try to "disguise" herself, in a any way? Or only the simple dress? Also, the Lizardfolk don't know the are any better than Szymon and Tatiana (they came from the wetlands on the lake, SW from here).

When you start your journey many people looks at Szymon and Tatiana, and surprised make way for you.
Suddenly a young girl gets near you.
"Queen Tatiana? YES! THE QUEEN!"
Many people start to join, signalling you, and showering with compliments, questions and requests...
"My house got demolished! I lost everything!"
"You are the greatest!"
"Where are you going? Are you leaving?"

Tatiana smiles and greets everyone, especially the children. "Well, we had been heading out for a diplomatic embassy. However, let's return to the castle and ensure that this one receives the support they need," she points to the one who said,"My house got demolished! I lost everything!" .

"If anyone else has the same problem, follow us back to the castle," she turns around and leads the procession back to the castle. When they arrive, she requests the counselor (can't remember who holds that office) come to resolve the issues.

After they politely extricate themselves and take lunch, they try to leave again. This time, Tatiana will join them at the edge outside of town and fly there by highest route.

The gentle hills you find are beautiful. The lands seems good, and the presence of wildlife indicates it is a good area to live. But is empty of humanoid habitation. No houses, no farms, no domesticated animals. Not even abandoned farms. Damn, not even farm ruins. The land seems completely virgin.

Instead for a sign on the top of a hill... it seems, at the distance, like an X made of fur...

Something like THIS, but only one, on the top of a big hill.

Male Lizardfolk (8 RP) Bard (Thundercaller) 8

Ti'Itza goes completely armed as he normally would, he doesn't leave items laying around or left behind.

Ti'Itza had wracked his brain for whatever he could remember of their cousins far removed from the swamp. Despite their smaller stature they were still lizardkin and probably just as spiteful to scaleless as his kind normally were. Ti'Itza starts a ballad of his own, telling of the legend of a brave warrior of the swamplands and his adventures except it was all sung in draconic. He assumed that hearing a tongue closer to their own would make it easier to approach.

Did he recall anything with the roll he made in the main thread?

Upon seeing the X he halts and kneels down. "Give me a minute Chieftainess." He drags his claws through the soil and cups a ball of dirt in his hand.

Cast Lay of the Land - 4 mile radius centered on where they are He gains a +4 to Geography checks/survival to avoid getting lost within that 4 mile area.

Lay of the Land Spell Details:

Lay of the Land
School Divination; Level 2
Casting Time 1 minute
Components Verbal, Somatic, Material
Range Personal
Target You
Duration 1 day
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance Yes

In a flash of recognition, you learn about the geography of your surroundings within a radius of 1 mile per 2 caster levels (minimum 1 mile). This instant familiarity grants you an insight bonus equal to your caster level (maximum +5) on Knowledge (geography) checks and Survival checks to avoid getting lost so long as you remain in the affected area.

Additionally, for the duration of the spell you can make Knowledge (geography) checks regarding the affected area as though you were trained in that skill.

As the seconds passed Ti'Itza slowly became one with the land around him, making sure that if it were enchanted they could not become easily lost. He rose to his feet again, his mind filled with new knowledge as he looked back at the hill. "It is most likely a warning Chieftess. Most likely we are going to enter a place that they consider is sacred or their territory."

K-Nature - what types of animal should be in the area?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Geography - Recall any notable locales in the area. Caves, Paths and etc.: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Female Lizardfolk (8RP) Oracle/Evangelist/Hierophant 1

She watched her companion, growling in approval as he absorbed the lay of the land. Nothing was impossible for the Thundercaller. She however felt she would soon be forced to reveal her dual nature but for now she kept her hands free to destroy anything that was wielded against them. However she was barely refraining from shuddering at how pristine the land was, it called to her in ways that no one would understand. She almost gave in to caress a ancient tree or to pick fresh berries in untouched bushes.

K-Nature - what/why there are no animals... or even birds?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
K-Religion - Does the X involve anything religious?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Ti'Itza mind fills with the images of gentle hills and fertile soil. Of a nice land untouched by "scaleless". Too dry for his taste, but a nice place neverless. And of the many tunnels and dungeons crisscrossing the underground all over the "Kobold" lands. The closest entrance seems to be hidden some 100' yards up the hill.
He doesn't really know about these kobolds, or this area. The animals he can see seems "correct" for the area, noting that there are not Domesticated animals, just wild free ones.
The symbols in the hills don't strike Tepti as religious.

Ti'Itza points towards where the hidden caves lie, some mere hundred yards away. "An entrance lies hidden there, this land is riddled with tunnels like an anthill..." He reveals everything the spell revealed to him before he looks to Tepti. "Scout the hilltop, find what that 'X' is. The Chieftess cannot be endangered."

All she has is her cape, which I would hope could slow her descent if she spread it out but that is up to you. Other then that I didn't think to take Featherfall because of her secret item lol. Teaches me a lesson! xD.

Ti'Itza waits a short while, waiting for a sign before...

???:

Head to secret entrance low, head towards X High: 1d100 ⇒ 50

He looks to the Chieftess after a while had passed. Not a hint of concern was in his voice as he spoke. "It seems Tepti may have encountered trouble. However it may be more prudent to head below ground. The tunnels beneath us lead me to believe that they prefer pit traps." Sending Tepti had been a calculated move, testing the defenses of their enemy before deciding the best path. The X, marking their territory, common. Area around it, heavily trapped or guarded. Tepti will survive.

He starts to stride towards the hidden entrance then. "They probably prefer their meals finding their way into their lair, saves them the trouble." He states this with a flat tone but his claws elongate as he prepared for battle.

Tepti: Stealth while casting light in a dark place?
Tepti makes a stone glows and jumps startled! A very old small gnome corpse is impaled in a spike near her. As she feared, she is trapped in a circular trap some 50' diameter, centered on the "X" marker on the top of the hill. There is small a metal door not far from her, on the wall.

Female Lizardfolk (8RP) Oracle/Evangelist/Hierophant 1

Stealth was more for shielding the plump of light from casting the spell, like cupping it wither her hand. My bad their.

She regards the corpse curiously before moving forwarded and searching it...

Search the corpse for anything useful.

Once she was done with that she will approach the door and smiles in delight at the metallic nature of the door. It would collapse nicely...

However she checks to see if she can open it from this side...

Tepti: No, she can't open it from this side... In the corpse you only find an old piece of paper tightly rolled, when you open it you discern a faded drawing of a female face, a gnome you would think.

Female Lizardfolk (8RP) Oracle/Evangelist/Hierophant 1

Tepti under the hill:
She clutches the small piece of paper and casts mending on it...

Mending - Damage healed to picture: 1d4 ⇒ 2

... and despite her magic not mending the picture completely it would ensure that it didn't crumple into dust while she carried it.

The door appeared to be made of metal and she hoped she could remove it from her path.

Erosion Touch -7 Hardness from door.: 6d6 - 3 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 6, 4, 2) - 3 = 22

If her erosion touch doesn't destroy the door then she employees her powerful build and claws to finish the job...

Two claw attacks, -7 hardness to door.: 2d6 + 6 - 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 - 6 = 7

I minused the remaining hardness in the above attack rolls. So the remaining damage is what is dealt to the door after bypassing the hardness.

Male Lizardfolk (8 RP) Bard (Thundercaller) 8

Ti'Itza chuckles at the Chieftess suggestion, a deep rumbling sound as he shakes his head. "That is assuming they can read Chieftess. It would probably go unheeded or unnoticed. There are so many tunnels that there must be other exits aside from this one and as you said it may just be used to trap the unwary."

His laughter grows a little louder then as he suggests. "I have a louder way of getting their attention if you want." He gestures to the sky then as he smiles toothily. "You hide and I call them out for you Chieftess."

She touches the door and let her corrosive curse make away with it. The door quickly rusts and gets eaten by time and neglect, in a couple minutes.
On the other side there is a straight and tidy tunnel, painted white with black crossmarks every 20', completely clean.
The crossmarks look like THIS.

For what you know, the Kobolds are nowhere to be found on the day, but anything present on the night gets attacked (or you think so, as people "disappear" and buildings gets destroyed and vanish).

Tepti in the rabbit hole:
Tepti finds a lot of tunnels, all clean an immaculate, all marked with the strange sign, but no one on sight.
Does she has a way to navigate the place without getting lost in the "sameness" of the place? Which kobold "color" does she disguise?

Female Lizardfolk (8RP) Oracle/Evangelist/Hierophant 1

Tepti in the Rabbit Hole:

So no magic detect then? Thats good so far. As for something to mark the walls with...

Kobold Colors... White.

Tepti rifles through her back pack for a moment before producing an item that humans humorous called soap. She rubbed it on the wall, where the symbol was not and made even marks every twenty feet as she tried to head back the way she had climbed the hill outside. The blunt smell would be a good indicator of where she had been along with the white smudge. Hoping to find a way out and making a note if she was going downward or upward. She would avoid going downward and thus further underground...

Male Lizardfolk (8 RP) Bard (Thundercaller) 8

Ti'Itza thinks for a moment before thinking of another entrance that could be near by.

Need me to roll? I know I used Lay of the Land, but he wouldn't want to remain stationary if there was another way in. If he knows of one he will reveal all his knowledge as needed to Tatiana and Szymon he doesn't hold back on other entrances or ways in if they wanted to try a different route.
