I found my bone saw!!!
Its under the locks, keys and tools link but sadly does not lead anywhere. Heres the stats :)

Edit: so I am swaping 14 dex with 10 str and replacing thrown weapon mastery. Focusing a little less on thrown bombs and a little more on slashing :)

Ah, a physician. Perhaps you would be interested in a magical bone saw? A few golden coins and a small bit of time and I should be able to make you a wounding bone saw.

Wounding
This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons. A wounding weapon deals 1 point of bleed damage when it hits a creature. Multiple hits from a wounding weapon increase the bleed damage. Bleeding creatures take the bleed damage at the start of their turns. Bleeding can be stopped by a successful DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage. A critical hit does not multiply the bleed damage. Creatures immune to critical hits are immune to the bleed damage dealt by this weapon.

"Now, how are we going to hinder the deeds of those pesky "heroes"? Subtly is a must, otherwise we are going to meet a grim fate. For now it seems somewhat mandatory that we keep our activities as low as possible. While starting a protection racket among the shopkeepers or making an undead army is amusing, we are going to be beaten to death if we attempt it this early.

Victor Ravenport gathers his hands diplomatically, clearing his throat after the somewhat rambling speech. After having waved the innkeeper over, he slides a small folded up piece of paper over the table and the innkeeper disappears behind the counter. After a moment or two the innkeeper returns with a tall wineglass filled with a sweetly scented wine. After having grabbed the glass and taking a small sip of the content, Victor raises it towards the gathered individuals. "Cheers!"

Crystal glances at Victoria, smiling wryly. Here they were, this early into it, and some of the men were already overlooking them.

"Perhaps we could find out more information on these adversaries, as well? Knowing who we are facing might be more important than keeping them busy." She interjects in the conversation, blue eyes focusing on the grim-looking man who has decided to start conversations of what would be needed.


Improvised weapons always do less damage than similar weapons of their size, so the bone saw would probably be 1d4. Also, improvised weapons cannot be enchanted as weapons. But if you used, say, a sawback dagger, you could enchant it as a weapon and save the trait.

Also, I'm fine allowing pre-crafting. Any amount of things you have the skills and feats to craft, you may consider already crafted before the game begins (thus saving a good deal of money).

Victor taps his finger against his chin. Snorting slightly as his eyes lights up; "In fact, would it not be amusing if /their/ equipment was to disappear and our wallets were to be filled up? If we find out where they live, we can quietly liberate their pouches and their most valuable possessions."

And just as important, do we know that the heroes exist and are after us?


I wouldn't say you know about the heroes yet. They will likely start out as do-gooder adventurers with no knowledge of you; you begin as a small band of conspiring villains with plans to take the Finders' Keep and tax the people into misery while you pack away the profits. I'll define that game mechanic more in campaign info when I get the chance.

Edit: this means you know each other. I'm assuming your underhanded deeds have bumped you into one another by now, but this is the first time you've all decided there's more evil to be done through teamwork than working solo.

Another question, and I am willing to roll a Knowledge Local or Nobility for this information, what manner of person currently rules over Finder's Keep? A mayor, a member of a hereditary noble house or has it been abandoned?

If you're using your own money, you can pre-craft anything you want and give it to whomever you please. If you wish to craft beyond your own funds (using your teammates'), you will need to do so as your work during the week in lieu of a day job.

Damned, I am afraid that this is actually the first time that I RP on the Paizo site so I am still learning the terms and discovering the forum system. I have been both playing and GM'ing with the Pathfinder system, but that is another side of the tale. By the way, if you want to set "The City!" anywhere then I would suggest Varisia.

So, bone saw is a non-magical imprivised weapon dealing 1d4 damage. Check.
We dont know about the heroes yet, we are just generic bad guys atm banding together. Check.
Pre-crafting is good and considered already done. Double-check!
I can share my gear as i see fit and can craft for others or whatnot during the week. Check.

Hmmm. I would agree that amassing more funds would be a worthwile endeavor. Coin, afterall is what turns this world round. Now if we were to cooperate, a physician is not a poor man, having both wealth and connections and... Unusual supplies. I would be willing to extend such resourses, if other favours were in kind.
Now my dearie, as for what i can bring to the table. While my saw is sharp and my arm is strong i fear it would be poor form against the many adversaries we will no doubt acumulate. Rather my strengths are less direct, more suttle in nature. My knowlede is strong, my resources vast and my concoctions potent.

What is a good general estimate of an average persons income in the city? Also I put what silversheen is in my alias, it occurred to me some people might not be familiar with the special material version.

"I'll start a fight club! I can charge people to fight me, and If they win they get a prize. I'm thinking 10-20 gold. And I'll be sure to break bones so that they have to go see the closest doctor, which may, out of sheer coincidence, be the good doc here."

Looking askance at Sarcon, she chuckles deprecatingly, "And how many beatings would you be able to perform before there were no more comers? That is many months' wages to a common man, so your market would be small already."

She assumes a thinking pose, pointer finger on her delicate chin, eyes upturned. She shrugs, "I have heard of many places nearby that are abandoned or haunted. Some are rumored to contain riches."

well. I left my phone at a friends house and with it all the work I just did :(
So I won't get that till tomorrow...
Anyways, I figure I average about 10gp a week at my job, or 2gp a day. Between that and my weapon costing 2cp and that I can craft a large portion of my equipment, I figure I will passivly be a bit richer than most, BUT most of it will be spent on consumables, not that Doc would devulge this information :)

A fight club, hmmm. That's not a bad idea there, but a little more complex than you think. Since it is illegal you cannot just have them anywhere in any old backalleyway and put posters out. You have to think about bribing the athourities, the avenue, entertainment, silencing mouthes, getting fighters and an audence, and keep it down low. While there may be some money in a single fight, what if you get injured? No, the real money is with the bets across the crowd over multiple fights with you as the champion.
It is a good idea, but it needs a bit more.

How about we set up the fights over the week, together as a group, for it will take more than one person, and then we check out these ruins you speak of Crystal over the weekends.
But first both prospects will need more planning and information.
If I may, Crystal, could you find out any information on the customs and regulations of such events, as well as using your contacts to find bribable guards, potental fighters, wealthy interested persons and the like. Also, try to find out more about these ruins and spots of interest and what we could expect to find there, and if you find a map... excelent!
Sarcon, if you could look for a venue, maybe contact those halflings I heard about as well aspotentials.
Tho we still need a front man. Victor? Or possibly myself?

"Now, now. Shall we try to reign in our emotions for but a moment? Perhaps a suiting compromise can be reached for the moment. I am certain that there is money to be made in the city, however, before we venture boldly forth to take our spoils, we must seek a suiting target." Victor taps his index finger against his clean shaven chin, taking a draw from his wine glass as he stares intensely upon the ever-changing form of the liquid.

"Perhaps we should use the kindness of our fellow men to our own good? I hear that the various temples often have immense amounts of gold in their coffers. Not to mention relics that could be sold for quite a price to another region of worshippers." He slides his hand over the rough wooden table, his fingers playing with a knot in the woodwork. "If such a deed could be pulled off subtly enough, we might even be able to plant one of our own as the new "priest" and thus continue to gain gold from the churches' coffers."

She throws out her cape with a flourish and takes a seat. She leans forward, her gauntleted fingers steepled as her elbows rest on the table. "Stealing from the gods is a vorthy task. Fate approves of this idea. It vould also be a vorthy lesson to those veaklings that look to the gods for help vith their pitiful lives."

"Truffles! Where?!

Sarcon jumps at the sound of Fate making her entrance, and then settles back in to his chair with a look of disappointment at the lack of truffles.

"That's not fair, everyone needs a hobby. But I would love to hear you idea."

Victor Ravenport chuckles at Sarcon's display. He shuffles around in his black coloured leather satchel at his foot, after having thrown around half a dozen of bottles of embalming fluids and a handful of discarded wooden figures he draws out a small container of tobacco and a finely crafted pipe. With a hand and a method that hints at endless repetition of the same movement, he stuffs the pipe with a finger pinch of loosely connected tobacco leaves. He snaps his fingers and a small shover of sparks are directed at the pipes mouth. For a moment he contents himself with huffing on the pipe until the leaves seems to ignite and a lazy line of smoke rises from the mouth of the pipe.

"Now. If done incorrectly and without the required grace, this will end with our head on the chopping block, something that I would desire to avoid. Several of the town's temples has potential: The Church of Desna consists of will-less dreamers and philosophers, her cleric wouldn't prove to troublesome. Sarenrae's priests are too busy blessing crops and praising the sun. Shelyn might be the most ideal target, her priests are nothing but skalds and sculptures. We might make a fortune on ending them and selling their much desired pieces." As if to punctuate his own sentence, he blows out a steady stream of smoke. An aroma of overly sweet tobacco quickly surrounds the gathered villains.

Crystal begins nodding as Fate arrives with her own opinions. Thank the Dark Lord himself there was someone here with vision besides herself! Her smug look quickly evaporates as Victoria continues. Devil worshipper?! Outrageous! She worshipped a deity who's preferred form was that of a devil of the Nine Hells, where he resided.

She shakes her head, blond tresses gently waving back and forth. "Folly. Nothing will bring a city to unity more quickly than an attack upon its centers of worship. Let us see what we can learn of the nearby ruins. I have heard hints and whispers of treasures still residing in them, waiting for the brave and powerful to root them out. And better still, no chopping block awaits should we be found out."

Victor runs his hand over his clean-shaven chin as Crystal makes her rebuttal, he leans back in his seat and, his crooked back aching. Without giving any mention of this, he puffs on his pipe quietly; enjoying the light buzz from the tobacco blend. Ambitious, that much was certain: and yet he could not pinpoint her exact heritage. Cheliax seemed like the obvious answer, but she lacked the pale skin and gaunt face. Varisian, perhaps?

"Fine, Miss Crystal. You have roused my curiosity; tell us more about this ruin and what we can expect from it. I am not naive enough to expect that these promised valuables have been left undefended. What adversaries are we going to face?"

She does have fair skin, and if we are in Golarion, Cheliax seems like the obvious answer. Perhaps one parent was Varisian, hence the non-gauntness?

"I admit I know little about the ruins besides these whispers. Give me the week and I will learn more of them and what to expect."
