Pinpin the Leshy |
Also, Pinpin will glance at the walls as they walk past, but probably won't comment about it later until after he addresses the person kneeling in the pool, since they have her curiosity.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
K'Coro |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Why can't I get those kind of rolls during combat?
K'Coro notices the gillman's mannerisms and facial expressions as something he has encountered before. He addresses Haranum and Esdras. "Friends, K'Coro believes this person to have an affliction like our slimy comrade, Damion Bogtouched, from the Fallen Fortress. K'Coro thinks he is deaf."
Pinpin the Leshy |
"Deaf, huh? Well that's too bad. Hmmm, let's see if there are any plants around here, maybe I can use them to make words.."
With that, Pinpin will focus using Basic Phytokinesis to see if there is any underground plant life around them.
Haranum Al-Evess |
Haranum nods happily at the thought of Damion. "I hope this gillman can also read lips."
Then hearing Pinpin mention using plants to make words he looks over to the adorable plant excited to see what happens.
Esdras, the Lightning of Heaven |
"Nations will see and be ashamed,
deprived of all their power.
They will put their hands over their mouths
and their ears will become deaf."
The eidolon is looking to see if the Gillman is armed or possibly concealing a weapon. Not going to touch, but searching visually.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin, trying to look not-entirely-constipated looks over at Lars. "Ummm.... I don't see any sticks around here. Why do you think I'm searching for plants?"
She goes back to focusing on her phytokinetic skills to see what plant life there might be.
Lars Ullrich |
The little walking vegetable doesn't bring the best in the wild eyed swordsman
Arrrr... we can use a dagger! or some paper and ink, I got those in my backpack. But I don't know what kind of langage it speaks! Don't waste your time seeking for plants
Lars looks into his backpack, get his ink, inkpen and journal out, and furiously writes on a page
"I'm Lars. Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
"Deaf, huh? Well that's too bad. Hmmm, let's see if there are any plants around here, maybe I can use them to make words.."
With that, Pinpin will focus using Basic Phytokinesis to see if there is any underground plant life around them.
** spoiler omitted **
There doesn't seem to be anything but small plants and lichens in the cavern you are at.
Lars Ullrich |
Deaf AND stupid?
Impatiently, Lars writes again
"I'm Lars Ulrich, skald and herald of battles, worshipper of Gorum. I am a Pathfinder, as are the others. We seek informartoins"
Lars crosses off the last word, furiously, and writes again
"informations on gillmen and these caves"
Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin will try to aid Lars, waving to get the gillman's attention and mouth to him in an over-exaggerated manner.
"Can you read lips? That might be faster"
Diplomacy Aid to Lars: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Apparently he comes across more as cute than as insensitive! XD
Lars Ullrich |
Base Diplomacy roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Despite his gruff manners, Lars manage to get into the good graces of the gillman.
Perhaps he amuses him, like a favorite but turbulent child.
Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin should have it, but I don't think we ID'd it, so they'd just have it bundled up, probably either tied around her or sticking out of his bag.
Haranum Al-Evess |
"We found the cloak on the way in."
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Then what I suspected is true. There is a great evil here that perhaps you can help to stamp out? he iunquires
Haranum Al-Evess |
"That is why we are here, right Esdras!"
Esdras, the Lightning of Heaven |
'All its land is brimstone and salt, a burning waste, unsown and unproductive, and no grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sarkoris, Dyinglight and Storasta, it fell to the filth of the Abyss.'
The eidolon nods sagely.
Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin looks at the eidolon with huge, very distressed eyes. "Ummm.... that didn't exactly sound like help so much as 'Kill everyone and have Pharasma sort it out.' I'm not sure I'm okay with that..."
Perception(to avoid metagaming): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
She looks back at the Gillmen. "What do you know about this cloak? It looks kind of similar to your clothes.. Anywho! We'd be happy to help! What can we do to stomp out evil?"
He goes from kind of pensive to downright chipper about stomping out evil.
Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 ⇒ 9
K'Coro |
K'Coro, noticing the dialogue with the gillman to be on a friendly setting, steps back, so as not to appear threatening. He keeps his sword ready, though. "Who are you? What brings you to these caves?" Realizing he sounds like he is interrogating than asking, he changes tactics. "We are sent here to investigate these caves and discover what significance they may have. Can you help us?"
Diplomacy aid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
This caverns are sacred to my people. We come here on what humans would call a pilgrimage to worship and give thanks here at the Shrine of Aroden. However, my people who have come have not returned. he replies to the query.
Pinpin the Leshy |
"Oh goodness! That's unfortunate. I can help regrow cuts and breaks, but I can't help regrow broken hearts. I hope this can at least help a bit though," he says with a bit of sadness in their voice.
Pinpin will set forward, and she'll offer the gillman the cloak.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
He is very thankful but adds Perhaps one of you can wear it in this environ?
What to do?
Lars Ullrich |
You ... I was about to say "you heard the man", but that won't do. You read the man. Let's keep the cloak for now and move.
Lars, restless, starts to walk to the next cavern, or whatever, motioning the other to follow
K'Coro |
K'Coro, standing where the gillman can see his lips(?), asks, "Can you tell us about this shrine you worship at? How long have your people been coming here? Did you build this shrine?" He remembers his training to explore and report, making a mental note so they have something to report back to Janira, should she still be alive.
K'Coro |
"Does anyone have parchment and ink? K'Coro thinks we should map this cavern, and sketch this pedestal. It looks like Absalom on top." Eyeing the assorted trinkets, he asks, "What is the purpose of the items and drawing on this shrine?"
GM Weenerton |
The gillman speaks up a bit. The shrine has fallen to disrepair. Decades of visitors leaving this and that or otherwise infested with local fauna, or worse. Down the way there, grotesque figures of unlife haunt the cavern.
Indicating a cavern to the East. Map and Character Details linked under my name. Slide 3. Haranum, could you produce an image for your Eidelon, please?
GM Weenerton |
Hi folks, coming up on 48 hours since a post. I've PM'd the characters that haven't chimed in since I took the thread over. Would love to get some momentum going :)
Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin offers the cloak forward to the gillman one last time; if he doesn't take it, they'll put it on.
Regardless, afterwards she says:
[b]"I'm all for removing undead from this place. They're anti-growth, and I'm not about that!"[b]
GM Weenerton |
Please keep the cloak. I have no use for it now. The gillmen says solemnly.
+1 cloak of resistance.
Esdras, the Lightning of Heaven |
Glancing at the rest of the part impatiently, the Eidolon heads into the cavern.
GM Weenerton |
I'm seeing 2ish votes to move on, so I'll take you to the next encounter.

Bold may act.
K'Coro |
Agreeing that they should be moving on, K'Coro heads into the adjoining chamber. Seeing the skeleton in front of him, he retrieves his warhammer and swings at its head.
warhammer o' decapitation?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Oh, wow. I swear I'm not trying to drag this out...
Pinpin the Leshy |
Pinpin slips around behind and next to K'Coro, and blasts forth at the skeleton around the corner, using the cover to protect them from the skeleton.
Ranged attack around a corner OP! :P
Ranged Attack vs Touch,(melee): 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 4 = -1
Positive Energy Blast: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Looks like K'Coro and I are on fire :P
GM Weenerton |
The exact same thing is happening in my other Confirmation game. These skellies are wily!
Esdras, the Lightning of Heaven |
Esdras steps forward, and proclaims:
In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in the sight of the the Healing Flame. The death of her Herald Kohal at your hands has aroused her anger. Leave Gormuz now, for her flaming scimitar descends on upon your blasphemous city.
The Archon moves forward and brings it's fists down upon the skeleton.
Slamming Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 crit damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (1, 6) + 18 = 25GM Weenerton |
Unless I'm missing a character detail, Esdras would need to confirm crits normally, although 1+9 would take care of the skeleton in front of them. Let's just roll that in the future.
The skeleton shatters from the the pummeling strike to the skull.
The rear zombie shambles forward with a charge and strikes the creature directly in the center.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Dmg: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
But his big sword doesn't hit, enraging the skald even more...
I'll got you next time, and this time, You'll stay dead!
