Gill pays little attention to the letter, instead focusing on the words of the Galtan man.

"Yeah, the girl's right. We need to figure out who this man is that helped arrange the kidnapping. We need a lead. Something besides knowing he's Taldan as there's a damn lot of Taldans running around Andoran."

Gill then scratches his head.

"You got anything else? Where'd you meet? How'd you communicate?"

We're waiting on someone making a DC18 Perception check or DC12 Alchemy check for something about the letter... Silver Warden should give it a roll!

You're very polite. And I accept you're offer of discover the place, but I'll prefer to wait until you finish your investigation in a place not related to my kidnapping. Or to go with you whatever you are going now.

I'm sorry but I can't help you Thalia continues. But I've seen no taldan man fitting that description , and the last men my father rebuffed were some candidates I like. Even if they shall have bad intentions they would go against my father, not me.

Ghaenk neither remember about any Pyrgo, or any taldan man fitting the description. But he realizes the handwritten letter bears a few trace smudges of alchemical reagents. And he also knows there's only one nearby shop dedicated to alchemy and tonics; Koriana's shop.

In a few hours I'll write about what happens as you go to Koriana's shop, in the mean time yu can do any preparatives if you wish

"But your father loves you, surely. And sometimes the vile will use that love to hurt or manipulate others." Fimbir goes to spit in disgust before realizing there is a lady present. He tries to hide swallowing his spit back down as best he can.

"And while you can surely come with us, be careful: we tend to go into dangerous territory. Have you any battle experience, or even a schoolyard scrap?"

As I can deny there's truth in your words, I'm sure my candidates won't do nothing against me.

Battle experience? No, I've been studying The Common Rule, reading Lady liberty and Darl Jubbanich essays. Not learning how to force my will over other people.

Map changed. I've put everybody surrounding Thalia for her protection

Broad country roads lead in four directions away from a crossroad.
To the north, the road to the Sauer Vineyard cuts among golden fields and lush vineyards. To the south, the road into Sauerton is flanked by sparse and apparently abandoned houses. To the west, the road to the Andares manor winds through a grove of apple trees whose leaves have begun to yellow. To the east, fields stretch among rolling hills as far as the eye can see, with long autumn wheat lolling in the wind. On the southeast corner, an empty shop sits boarded up with broken windows. On the southwest corner, a sign advertises Koriana’s Exotic Tonics and Remedies and boasts of “longforgotten delights from all across the Inner Sea.”

You cross paths with an elderly farmer leading a cow into town. As you approach, a small pack of rabid dogs emerge from fields to attack them.

As Fimbir joins the rest of the party as they enter the alchemist's shop, the gnome's eyes go wide as he moves in to look at the swirling liquids and sniff the strange smells in the air.

---Before entering in the shop.---

Recognize our mayor's daughter, you say. Of course.
I've seen her by her father side in some social and political acts.

As Silver warden continues inquiring a little about his surprise the man continues answering in an elusive way he never expect to find Thalia in company of so many foreigners, and other half-truths.

---Once in the shop---

GM stuff:

Pyrgo you say? I know no man with this name.
And what makes you think you can find him in my shop?
She inquires.

Sense motive DC 10, no take 10, no aids:

It's an obvious lie. She knows somethng about Pyrgo and she's trying to know why you're interested

"Oh, he's a big Taldan man. Well not that big, small for a human at least! brown hair, goes by the name Pyrgo. We think he may have bought some things from you and are looking to question him. Very hush hush." Fimbir tells to woman with a finger to his lips, blissfully unaware of her subtle cues.

Gill had dealt with his share of liars, cheaters, thieves and half-truths in the over sixty years he walked his human life on Golarion, so he knew 'em when he smelt 'em.

He, like many of his advanced age, also lacked the social graces to not say what he thought.

Pointing at the woman with a bruised and weathered finger, he was quick to accuse her of hiding the truth.

"Alright, miss... you might be pullin' the wool over the eyes of my friends here, but not me! Give up whatcha know, or we'll be doing this the old fashioned way!"

Gill raises a pair of old, feeble fists to show what he means, in the off chance the woman failed to sense his motives.

awesome post, Gilloro

Well done Gill! At least you had been able to see through her lies[/ooc]

Lady Koriana turns to Gill and she calmly responds, [b]I’d rather not see this turn to uncivilized violence. Although you may think I enjoy profiting from healing injuries inflicted in this neighborhood, I consider it unprofessional for customers to get those injuries inside my own shop. Let’s talk. She then offers to brew tea or serve any other drink you could want.

I know you'll not find Pyrgo, no one with that name has been in the city in the last decades. But if you're looking for a man who looks to be Taldan and has given that false name, I canhelp you.

But tell me, what do you want of him? Why have you been investigating Thalia dissapearance?

I`ll asume you will not expect to obtain something for her without saying a word and that sooner or later in the conversation you'll accuse Pyrgo or her to be involved in Thalia kidnapping

BArnabas appears from the backdoor to see if Lady Koriana wants something else beside the beverages. She then turns to you to explain her apprentice's behaviour. What he's really trying to ask, without any of you taking offense, is if any of you want pesh. Some of my customers are used to it and find easy to make deals after mixing a little in tea.

She takes a sip of her own tea as if remarking her offering before continue talking. [b]We all have our goals, the elder Andares did not hire you to investigate, so what is a band of Pathfinders hoping to acquire here?

It's clear she will not resort to violence unless you force it, but if you want answers you need to make questions, give some explanations or comunicate in any way besides showing a fist in front of her face.

The Wasp is more likely to come quietly from the shadows with a blade, but talking is really not his forté.

"You are indeed correct, Andares has asked us to leave it be. Why is that, do you think? Surely the man loves his niece, no? As for our reasons, well I, for one, do not like to see anyone held against their will, especially a poor innocent girl being used for political reasons. Is that not enough for us to act?"

"No thank you ma'am." Fimbir says at Koriana's offer. "My body is a temple is what my maw always said. Too bad it can't give me any spells though!"

"And yeah," the gnome chimes in after his masked friend's response. "Those with power and means should do what they can to help, shouldn't they. We're good at these sorts of things, and so we could help get Thalia back. And maybe Mr. Andares can learn a lesson from that and do what he can, with help and troops and stuff up north."

To be truth he loves his doughter ;D

Of course, save the girl, fight against corrution and all of that are good reasons to act. Neither of them will help you now, but they are reasons nonetheless.[b]

Then she listen Fimbir poor expressed words and answers. [b]So you want some help from Mr. Andares... That's something I can help with, provide we can arrange a compromise. Give Thalia to me and I'll ensure Tercio's help of troops adn "stuff"[b]

Thalia, hering the offer, feel offended and can`t stay silent. [b]Don't listen to her. I can provide you with that support once my father is convicted of corruption. Equivalent to high treason in Andoran. In fact, the Andoren people might rally behind me if I report my father's misconduct to the ombudsman’s office.

In response Koriana nods negating. Bald and young behaviour, but not the wisest. And it wouldn’t help your cause.

If Tercio were to be convicted, and it’s not guaranteed, only he would be able to provide military aid through his consulship in addition to his family fortune, whereas Thalia could only aspire to secure the latter. Also, supporting Thalia will risk the stability of the entire region, triggering a veritable witch hunt for corrupt politicians that would harm innocent leaders.

Fimbir's eyes widen at Koriana's words. The gnome's face darkens, his mood visibly souring for the first time since their departure.

"Give, give you Thalia? So that she can be shipped off to Galt to cover up some bad deals? You are actually asking that? And more, you think the man would condemn his own daughter to be executed? Andoran has much stranger ideas of freedom than I expected."
