Technically - how are we to execute the ambush? Or is that more of a descriptive effect? I am still newish to pathfinder and wasn't sure if there was some specific rules based approach.
HP 38 | AC 25 | T 14 | FF 18 | CMD 21 | F +6 | R +6 | W +1 | Init +3 | Per +8
Everyone is acting in the surprise round, which means one standard action each in initiative order. You would all ready your surprise round actions as attacks set to trigger when the creature appears. It would move into view of the hallway triggering your actions on its initiative, get hit by a hail of arrows/bolts/bullets/magic whatever. Then round 1 would start and we'd all act normally based on initiative. OR You could all delay your action forfeiting your surprise round action, and then step into the initiative order whenever you want after someone else acts. This actually changes your initiative to be wherever you step in.
At least that's how I would run it...we'll let the DM here say for certain.

Basically this, I'm treating it like everyone readied an action in the surprise round, with Gaius the only one actually moving/attacking. Once the creature moved it was aware of Gaius (and no longer surprised) but the rest of the party still has the element of surprise.
It's entirely possible between the combination of the ambush doing enough damage and Gaius charging forward, the poor creature isn't going to be able to do anything before perishing!
Let me know if anybody is confused about what they want to do or when to do it. I'll do my best to explain it and figure it out. I don't think this is technically rules as written, but I'm trying to fit the rules to what you guys want to do here.
I am leaving on vacation tomorrow, so I won't be posting from tomorrow through the weekend. I may be able to post Monday night, but not sure just yet. If we get into combat by then, and you need to NPC me, go ahead.

Likewise - I'll be at Gen Con for the weekend, leaving Thurs am and Returning Sunday night and will have only sporadic access to the internet. Bot me as needed.
Alright guys, I'll be putting a post up later tonight.
I'm organizing a Black Crusade game for some guys in my IRL 40K group so it's been a bit time-consuming, but I'll be back to a regular posting schedule now.
Just a heads up, I will be out of town again this weekend, so no posts Saturday or Sunday. Probably not until Monday evening. This should be the last trip I taked for at least a month or two.
I wanted to apologize to everyone for the long delay. I've been incredibly busy with work for the last several weeks, and have been running at least two 40K RPGs for some IRL friends, and this play by post game slipped my mind on more than one occasion. I probably shouldn't volunteer to run more than one system at a time! Again, I'm sorry that I left everyone hanging. At this point, I can't devote as much attention to doing maps and updating every day. We can put the game on hiatus, or maybe go down to one night a week. Let me know what you'd like to do, I'll understand if you want to move on to something else at this point.
Quite understandable, and IRL comes first. I'm appreciative of the time you've put in, and the chance you've given us to explore these characters. I am not averse to you making the game "inactive".
