LOL why not? If we get stuck down here, we can eat him first. ;)

Shadow Lodge Star Voter 2015

Let's get this show on the road! Yeah I'm really not picky on direction. Sorry if I'm holding things up, but work days have me generally restricted to posting on my phone.

On the subject of our important lesson on racism in Kaer Maga, here's a hint: Durnolf's the one slightly closer to your height when he's sitting on top of a snarling wolf.

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

Just to speed things along I guess I'll go with Durnolf

Shadow Lodge Star Voter 2015

Yeah sorry about jumping the gun, I responded on gameplay before I checked this one.

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

Yea. We are having some breakdown with actions Should we have a party leader?

I favor a loose democracy, myself. (why does that sound wrong?) Or rather, I don't know if we need a leader, yet. I have a feeling we're not going to need high Charisma/Diplomacy type stuff from the game--more like traps and nasties. Whoever feels the most tactically awesome would probably be best, if it comes to that.

I don't mind a bit of squabbling and confusion--adds to the fun. ;)

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

Yea. Well to keep things speedy, let Durnolf open the right hand door. getting bogged down is a definate hazard in pbP

male Halfling Oracle 3

I'm in favor of speeding things up.
You don't have to wait for my vote when choosing which door to open next.
I am pretty sure we are going to open all of them eventually, anyway.

Forgot to mention this, but you each earn 75XP for dispatching the foe.

Sczarni

Male Cuddly L'il Fuzzy Hamster Psion (Telepath) 20

We should have 150 xp now, correct?

That is correct.

I'll be intermittent today and tomorrow due to weekend gallivanting.

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

Heh. Elizabeth doesn't like those sexist pigs who deny her the right to make golems.

Fair enough with the request for OOC conversation to happen here.

We are in combat, however, and if a Surprise Round happens, Forewarned should kick in.

Quote:

Forewarned (Su)

You can always act in the surprise round even if you fail to make a Perception roll to notice a foe, but you are still considered flat-footed until you take an action. In addition, you receive a bonus on initiative checks equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1). At 20th level, anytime you roll initiative, assume the roll resulted in a natural 20.

Male Elf Diviner 4 Init +11 | AC 14, T13, FF 11 | HP 22/22 | Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +5 | Longbow +5, 1d8-1 |

Durnolf should be ok. Surge is a targeted effect:

Quote:

Surge (Su): As a standard action, you can cause a mighty wave to appear that pushes or pulls a single creature. Make a combat maneuver check against the target, using your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier as your CMB. If successful, you may pull or push the creature as if using the bull rush or drag combat maneuver. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier[/surge]

And as a CMB check, Nat-20 is auto success & Nat-1 auto failure.

Good job, Garuneh!

If Durnolf really couldn't move, I believe that by RAW I have to do another CMB check. Or something. Unless the GM would like to show some mercy.

If i succeed in that check they both go over the pit and I have possibly killed Durnolf. :( if I fail in the check, the surge is unsuccessful and iron snakey bites Durnolf.

I hope it would be reasonable to assume that Garuneh would wait to Surge until Durnolf is clear. If he isn't, no Surge.

I'd rather give up on that lovely natural 20 and not slay the cavalier!

Up to you, Mighty GM!

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

Sorry for the confusion guys.

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

Elizabeth, I certainly hope you're not still bleeding after that fort save. Besides, it gave an old, fat hobbit a chance to try to be heroic :P

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

Huzzah! High fives all around!

male Halfling Oracle 3

Well, Garuneh, since you 'delayed until Ruckus and Durnolf did their thang', one could argue that you delayed until after Durnolf takes his 5 foot step out of danger (even if that is at the end of his next turn) - everything at GM's discretion of course.

Waiting on Aldous. I'll bot him in the morning if necessary.

Relevant Houserule: If you can get close enough to a character to "shake" them out of their dazed state (adjacent square), they can become lucid enough to take a move action on their turn. The "shake" is a standard action and does provoke an AOO.

male Halfling Oracle 3

Can I shake Durnolf while I am still in move only mode?

Also, I'll be away for the rest of the day. Feel free to remote control Gunder. I guess he will walk up to Durnolf and shake him (if possible) or else will wait close by till the daze effect wears off and then heal Durnolf if needed. Or whatever else seems appropriate in the situation.

No, you cannot shake while in move-only mode. Sorry.

General plan is to burn it down, if possible.

Alchemist Fire, for easy reference

I think we are waiting on a recap of the actions of the round, right?

male Halfling Oracle 3

I think so.

A GM who goes AWOL for more than a day can be remote controlled like any other player, right?

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's how that works.

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

Sweet, Shall we roll dice to see who ASSUMES DIRECT CONTROL?

Tina:Daze
Garuneh:Surge
Durnolf:Rocked back by previous surge
Elizabeth:Grabbed Tina's torch
Aldous:Threw lamp oil

male Halfling Oracle 3

Okay. Lets roll 1d6, mapped to our initiative order:
The power of DM goes to: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Congratulations, Durnolf! Now tell us, what happens next?

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

Firstly, the large snake thing halts his attack and begins to apologize profusely to our mighty party for inconveniencing us. Then he leads us to his terrible necromancer master, who, WITH OUR POWERS COMBINED, we soundly defeat in an epic battle spoken of throughout the ages. And from here I hand it off to Elizabeth, the next down the list, as these things are always more fun round-robin.

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

With the secrets gleaned from the ruins, Elizabeth achieves her goal of creating a new type of golem. After getting filthy rich from lucrative contracts, Elizabeth returns to Kaer Maga and overthrows her dumb male dominated family and turns it into a Matriarchy!

Your turn Gunder.

male Halfling Oracle 3

The Ardoc's new Golem army overtakes large parts of the inner sea region. Extending the power of the Ardoc Matriarchy far beyond Kaer Maga.

Meanwhile, the throne of Empress Elizabeth is empty, because she and the rest of the party are taking the starstone test (yes, even including the skeletton snake). They all pass and ascend to godhood.

Gunder becomes god of exotic food.

Aldous is up next.

YOU DARE USURP THE AUTHORITY OF THE GM POSITION!?!?

Now where did I put those three othe snake skeletons?

Carry on. I'm on the road today, but will try to advance the game tonight. With a bit of retconning needed it would appear.

Male Elf Diviner 4 Init +11 | AC 14, T13, FF 11 | HP 22/22 | Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +5 | Longbow +5, 1d8-1 |

After gaining the powers of goodhood, Aldous takes on the role of "God of the Pick-Up". On a completely unrelated note, half-elf birth rates skyrocket. Mr. Snake Skeleton goes on to enjoy a fantastic career as a comic ventriloguist & stage magician.

Tina?

Man, I didn't get to open up my undead wild animal and water ride park yet!

male Halfling Oracle 3

Most probably I won't be online anymore when the GM returns. To speed up the game, here's a preview of what Gunder is going to do:

(Please copy the appropriate section over to the gameplay thread, once the next round starts)

If the snake is flushed down the pit by Garuneh's surge - and assuming that it will take the snake a while to climb back up:

Gunder waits till he hears the click clack of bones on stone again. (Don't want to waste torches if that thing doesn't come back at all.)

When he hears anything, he distributes his torches to the party and lights them with Sparks from his finger tips. (Assuming Tina brought a torch as well, there should be one torch for everyone of us. Gunder will ask who wants a torch and will only light as many as are requested.)

"How bad is it? Do you need to be cured - or should I save my spells for later?" he asks Durnolf.

Shortly before the snake re-emerges, he renews Guidance and Virtue on everybody.

if for any reason the snake is still there:

Gunder moves to G27 and waits for his head to clear.

if Gunder is still the god of exotic food:

He makes all darkmantles taste like chicken, and all chicken taste like darkmantle.

He also tells his clerics to open hot darkmantle booths in Garuneh's water park.

if the snake is flushed down and doesn't come back:

"Lets see whats behind that door." He points at the door leading east.

Wow. You guys are really intent on killing this thing, aren't you!?

M Halfling Order of the Dragon Gendarme Cavalier 1

It bit me!

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

If we can get Durnolf up he can fight the best of us. Plus we can start smackign with our torches.

"I hate snakes and snake like things"

Female Human Wizard 4 HP 27/27|AC 11T11/FF10|F3R2W5(7Fear) Per+3 Init+5

When you become a god, you can ban all snakes!

male Halfling Oracle 3

We don't intent to kill the snake if it apologized to Durnolf and helps us fight the necromancer.

I need to stop assuming that gameplay will speed up to several turns per hour all of a sudden, every time I go offline for a couple of hours...
