The Runes are complex and difficult to decipher. They involve an element of elemental protection (which would explain why this area, like the bridge does not have a coating of gold). There is also some conjuration magic intertwined within the runes. Actions?

The center of the intersection glows a bright yellow and a Large fiery Creature appears - he very much wants to play with the halfling!

Well, since I don't have time to activate my lead blades, I am going to rage rush the monster. Considering no other beasts on this island wish to talk, I am assuming this thing is a brute like the others.
I was going to suggest should there be a gold eruption, the bridge or this place might be the place to be since they don't seem to be covered in gol.....what is this fiery beast who interrupts me! DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S RUDE TO INTERRUPT!

Characters at risk of catching fire are allowed a DC 15 Reflex save to avoid this fate. If a character's clothes or hair catch fire, he takes 1d6 points of damage immediately. In each subsequent round, the burning character must make another Reflex saving throw. Failure means he takes another 1d6 points of damage that round. Success means that the fire has gone out—that is, once he succeeds on his saving throw, he's no longer on fire.

Yes, but when I cast it from memory it lasts 4 min. So I need to start saving my spells for the big dance. Still have 4 pool points for the day. Also try to remember my character is Reactionary! Move first, cast later...unless you have time to buff yourself...and others!

The trail leads west after some time you come upon another intersection exactly like the one you just passed through. (Same map). Need Anaba up front for tracking.
Is there a way around this trap? We didn't come here to fight elementals! We might need all our strength to defeat the Razmiris!
Irma is probably fairly high level since she has had approximately 100 years since Kassen's death to advance! She is the same elf Kassen adventured with, isn't she?

Well you can leave the main thoroughfare and venture through the city and it's burnt and gold covered buildings and objects. It will take longer to find a way around however...and climbing through these structure there is no telling what creatures you might stir up. Translated; Yes, but it takes longer and there is a higher chance of random encounters! Also three more of these and Sekkim is 4th Level! Your all buffed now so Sally Forth!

So we have taken the time to rebuff! Cool! The encounters are starting to blend in memory! I will take all buffs from wands if possible. We might not have time for discussion next time!

Yes, there is actually almost 10 minutes from the last encounter.
