Chronicles of the Silver Rose Company

This campaign is my attempt to play a canonical Planescape campaign using the updated Pathfinder ruleset. The game actually predates the release of Pathfinder, but we have managed to update as we have needed.

Hello all,
Due to the disappearance of two of my PbP's characters I am opening up recruitment. As of now, I have only three players, so I am looking for 2-5 characters to replace them. Currently the characters are at 4th level. It is Planescape, but knowledge of the setting is not needed. The game is narration heavy, but there is action. The game has been running for almost a year now, and is well-established.
Post here with a character concept if you are interested. Basically it is a free-for-all, since Sigil is THE planar hub of the Great Wheel. Anything is possible. As for requirements, I only ask that you have a consistent posting habit. The game drags when someone doesn't update their character's actions. If you are willing to play please check in every other day at the least. 3,000 GP starting cash for the characters, any type of magic item can be bought in Sigil.
Obviously I haven't had the chance to read through the whole game thread yet, but I figured I would express my interest before there was too much of a line :)
Would an elf psionicist who's terrified of everything be acceptable?

Absolutely! Its a gonzo setting, and the sky's the limit. You're 1st in line. It will take a few days to wrap up a few loose ends ingame, so feel free to peruse the thread and think of your character. :)

Sweet! I've been wanting to play this character for a couple years now, but psionics have been a tough sell with some GMs.
It's been hell on my skin, I'm constantly washing blood out of my hair, and I still can't get the smell of goblin piss out of my leathers. But all in all it's been a good game.
What, if any, changes do I need to make to the psion to pathfinderize it? Concentration is the first issue that comes to mind...(pun slightly intended) :)
there was a very cool fan made pdf, I have used in my games...have to ask pat on that however

I'm involved in 3 active to derelict pbp games (as some may well know) and DM the other Planescape game, but I'm interested if there's room. I like the Believers in the Source lately and would probably play a character of that faction.
Definitely going with Human Duskblade seems pretty balaced with PF core classes for the most part, just lacking a crazy 20th level power.
Heroic point buy, or roll 'em?
Just so you know there is already a duskblade in the group (Karrin Kind), not sure if that alters your plans any, but I thought I better give you the heads up. Also this was point buy IIRC. A couple of the original characters (namely Eir and Karrin) were designed for another PbP that crashed before it got off the ground and were taken in by Patrick when he decided to run his own campaign.
The PCs in this campaign work for a mercenary company rather effetely named "Silver Rose" and run by a verbose father figure and his socialite squeeze.
Eir is a slutty two weapon fighting cleric of Calistria.

James
Vulcan
Seeker (maybe)
Flash(posted on another thread-maybe)
I think that's going to be good! I'll take these folks, and anyone else who id interested, post anyway and I'll make up an alternates list.
No two maybes about it. I'm Inski like Flynnski!

Lynora
Ragadolf (maybe)
James
Vulcan
Seeker (maybe)
Flash(Inski like flynnski)
Post up a concept if you wish. I believe we started with a 32-point buy (right guys?). Pretty much anything is on the table, as long as someone isn't already doing it ..
Also, if the maybes wanna yell out yay or nay, that would be kewl ...

Will finish character tomorrow. Here's what I've got so far.
Check out the early pages of the Dark Sun game... 12 players. That gets a little crazy and hard to follow, but I think 8 or 9 - maybe even 10 - is quite doable. I think you'll have to do more hand-waving when players break off from the group though.
And you never know who is going to fall off the Earth.
Just posting a concept for the hell of it: Xaositect who speaks entirely in apposite literary quotes. Cheesy but it amuses me. :D
Man, you'd really have to work for your posts.

I'll take you on man, you just gotta keep to the posting rule is all. I am on the boards a lot these days, and I think I have shown in the game I can follow a few split ups. Now I just have to come up with a good way for Zigel to escape the Field of Nettles down at the Grey Wastes ..
All right all done I think. Just tell me when and where to post.

Yeah, I thought Kirrish was bad: declare all intentions when speaking and do not use the letters or sound p,b,f,v,m. I'm amazed I lasted past day two.
I'm considering fighter, rogue, bard or ranger in various combinations. Half-elf or human is most likely, though I may spice it up somehow.

No worries Vulcan, just need a bit of time to get a few dangling ends sutured up.

(Sigh) Alright, alright!
I'ma big fan of the Flynn-ster myself! ;)
Count me in! I'll apologise in advance if I fall off the earth (I've lost count of the games I'm trying to keep up with!) But it just sounds like too much fun!
So, any suggestions on an unusual race?
What about classes? Sounds like you have cleric, duskblade, a warrior type, a kitty-sorcerer, what else did I miss? Do we have a list? I wouldn;t want to double up, and I do luv teh casters, will stick with wiz unless it's already taken.

I'd need a script to run Kirrish's posts through that highlights prohibited phonemes or I'd go mad.
And for Fabes' idea: every post would have to sound like it was from some great work. You'd be making up verbose and witty citations, author names, pillaging literary quote sites for some real stuff....
Great idea. Nightmarish execution.
Reminds me of Next Gen with the alien dude Picard got stranded with on a remote planet - from a race that spoke only in idiom - and the translator just fed him these weird quotes and sayings that didn't make sense.
I love Beeler's paladin in your Planescape game. That's another classic character idea for interesting posts.

Got a creepy warlock now!
Ranger/rogue in the works. What's a good choice for favored enemy?

I think my question got lost in the chatter before. Patrick, what changes do I need to make to the psion to pathfinderize it? Especially, how do I deal with the lack of concentration and gaining psionic focus? Do you want to roll that into Kno:Psionics or Autohypnosis?
Edit: And I'm almost halfway through reading the game thread. It's kinda long.:)

I'd start by uping the the hit dice and I'd fold the concentration uses into Knowledge: Psionics, but that's just my personal opinion.
It is PFRPG Right? There isn't a 32pt Build unless you've extended the Point Buy for "Uber Power Game of Awesomeness". It only goes to 25pts in PFRPG.
Also, How do you roll with +ECLs under your PFRPG Rules? Same as normal or:
+1 ECL becomes +0 ECL
+2 ECL becomes +1 ECL
+3 ECL becomes +2 ECL
Spoiler:
Also Pat,
Do you know of anywhere there are rules for Playing a Harpy as a PC? I was thinking a Harpy Bard if they're not too high ECL, ortherwise I'm prolly gonna go with Fey'ri from Races of Faerun.

I defer to Guy. He is much more proficient in the system rules.
By the way: Everyone should be aware that I am fairly new to running 3E Pathfinder and I rely on all y'all to keep me honset. Should I gaffe, misread the rules or plain do something stupid feel free to call me out on it.
