Chronicles of the Silver Rose Company
Game Master
Patrick Curtin
This campaign is my attempt to play a canonical Planescape campaign using the updated Pathfinder ruleset. The game actually predates the release of Pathfinder, but we have managed to update as we have needed.
So since these are the left over scrolls from that caper it should actuall be 4d4 those scrolls did so will add the extra d4's here
1st scroll (this one is a little late so may want to just ignore it
3d4
2nd scroll
3d4
Reflex saves would be 13 for half I believe
I'll retcon the damage, no problem, but I forgot to get a d100 for both attacks. Remember, the khaasta is still in the fog, just his icon is visible to make plotting a bit easier. So gimmie two d100 rolls please
Tiandra and Phaumee continue their attacks on the fog-shrouded khaasta boss
Attacks:
Spoiler:
Tiandra:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
1d100 ⇒ 18
Phaumee:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
1d100 ⇒ 5
The swirling fog thwarts the two

But how could you surgically put it on top of the boss if you can't see him? I'll do some research on this.
Research edit: Two things. It strictly isn't an AoE spell you cast from a distance. It is a cone damage spell from your fingers. Also, it only has a 15' range, so you will have to get up close and personal to get the boss

I'm not. To rephrase I'm putting it in the square in front of Karrin in a cone radiating out away from her. Also per the rules on area spells including burst which burning hands is.
A burst spell affects whatever it catches in its area, including creatures that you can’t see.

I'm not arguing that. What I am saying is looking at the spell description it is a cone-shaped burst in a 15' pattern from Merle's position outwards. Check it out: >Burning Hands<. I could be wrong, I often am, but it seems to me it is meant to extend from your position in a cone 15' long.

Edit ah I see the confusion I was looking at the range rules for flaming sphere instead of burning hands (So I thoght you could choose an area for the cone to emerge from) Just have Merle move either to G6 and cast it into the fog cloud or if that area is much higher than 15ft up move to f 10 and cast it directly into the fog cloud

Gotcha. G6 (closer to G5) on the stairs wont be too high, like 4-5'. Fashioning retcon.
Merle ascends the narrow stairs and casts her two firey cones
Nari stepped into the room trying to get a decent shot. She had no chance at anything in the fog cloud as there was much to great a chance of hitting an ally instead of an enemy. So she took aim at one of the strange creatures surrounding the little ball of light. Might as well make herself useful in whatever way she could.
Moving to T19, taking into account the rest of her movement from last round.
The temporarily insectoid Isaac takes a swing at the khaasta he's flanking with Swire.
+1 Frost Greatsword (w/bard song and flanking): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
CRIT CONFIRM: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
(Which will now be negated by his concealment.)
Concealment roll: 1d100 ⇒ 69
"OI! The giant basher made a suggestion, berks!,"he shouts,"Now's the sodding time to call it quits an' keep yer sorry hides outta the sodding deadbook!"
Ekuur says one holy word of power, and his trikal bursts into flame. He enters the tower and approaches the combat, trying to find one of the remaining lizards in the fog. Double move into the tower to get into melee range.
Everyone please in the green circles make their fort saves DC13
Tiandra,Phaumee and Bethany saves:
Spoiler:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Although their faces grimace from the rotting garbage-stuffed corpse smell, Tiandra, Bethany and Phaumee hold their lunches
Issac swings his frosty greatsword. He connects, and finds the scaly lizard's neck. The fearsome fighter's fanged face flies off his burly shoulders, the green blood fountaining out and simoultaneously freezing into a giant viridian-colored icicle. The headless armored corpse falls.
Good work! But a few lurk in the mist. And there are the dretches...
Yes! Can Isaac step into the fog? Would I get attacks of opportunity within there even though the khaasta are concealed?
Hmm. well, all atks are at a 20% miss chance in the fog when adjacent, 50% ranged. I don't think you would get any AoOs from the dude behind the deceased dude. He's right there.
Issac can see a dim form in the fog right behind where the Toilmaster had been standing
Swire lunged at the toilmaster at the same time Issac did. He might have gotten a hit in too, but suddenly a smell like a three-week-dead cat boiled in Hive puddle water and strained through a dirty beggar's loincloth hits Swire full force. He gags and bile spews from his mouth
Hmm. Well, Karrin has reach while she's hugeified. I'll step in on top of the Toilmaster so that I'm threatening the guy behind him.
We'll have to see where Karrin is in HPs too. She took a beating at the top of the round. Also remember the square that the toilmaster is in is stinkified ..
Justin's eyes flick to the side as the gecko from h@!! shakes the glitterdust from it's eyes. He thought he saw, something, in the top of one of the taller potted tree-plants.
"Perfect. Just,... Perfect. NOW everybody wants a piece of the wizard!" Justin grumbles, stepping back again from the persistent reptile.
"Where was all this attention when I was looking for a date?!?" He asks the collared pet Iguana-on-Growth-Spells. His only answer is an angry hiss.
"Yeah. I get that a lot."
"Alright buddy. Your pal there is boots. Next up, Saddlebags! Fuego!" Justin cries, firing another thin ray of flame at the lizard.
5'step back, Ray of flame, Ranged Touch att, with all bonuses; 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Assuming both those attacks hit Karrin is at -6 hp right now

5'step back, Ray of flame, Ranged Touch att, with all bonuses;
1d20+6; 5d6
+50% dmg from amulet; (+7pts) =22 fire dmg.
Justin's ray of flame pours over the lizard, stripping layers of scales and flesh from its head as it lunges at his size again.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
The lizard's bite is off, clashing inches from Justin's side. Although looking like a refugee from an orc's barbeque pit, the lizard snaps and snarls, thrashing madly

Yipe!
Karrin falls, and blood soaks her garb.
I'm sure either Ekuur or Bethany can help suture you up

Isaac puts the point of his large sword to the floor and addresses the fog cloud.
"Let me hear yer weapons hit the floor, then yeh all walk outta the fog with your arms up. Understood?"
His eyebrows arch when he spots Karrin on the floor.
"Err... d' one o' yeh bloods want teh patch her up?"
Ekuur immediately bends down near Karrin, and the familiar flash of bright flame comes from his hand as he touches her. Some of her injuries begin to heal ...

"Seriously, give it a REST willya?!? I swear I've had diseases that were less persistent than you! Will. You. Just. DIE! Forzare!"
And he throws a blazing bolt of magic into the face of the toasty carnivore.
5'step back, Mage evocation specialist Force Missile (Magic Missile) power. 1 of 7. Auto-hit, Dmg 1d4+3 force dmg:
1d4+3
That'll do, mage, that'll do ..
The bolt of arcane force blasts the slow-roasted lizard into Death's realm. Justin is left panting and sweating profusely in the hothouse atmosphere. The ache of his wounds is spiced with the salty pain of sweat as rivulets drip into the teeth marks by his knee.

"Let me hear yer weapons hit the floor, then yeh all walk outta the fog with your arms up. Understood?"
"Accch sssss..."
Issac sees a thud and then hears a phrase in the Khaasta's sibilant tongue. The fog evaporates, leaving a slightly-charred bone-bedecked lizardman standing with clawed hands upraised in the universal posture of surrender.
"I am your prisssoner." The strangely-accoutred khaasta hisses

Between Merle and Ekuur, Karrin's wounds retreat. Her breathing stabilizes and her eyes flutter open. The enlarged tiefling groans and grasps her blue-headed axe.
Isaac steps forward to the khaasta, pulling out a length of rope. He ties the lizard's hands in front of him.
"That the Toilmaster?", he asks, nodding to the large dead khaasta on the ground in front of them,"Where d'yeh keep that beauty-stealing device and all the beauty yeh siphoned off? Were yeh sellin' it to anyone?"
I'm assuming the summoned creatures disapeared as well?
Merle stands next to Karrin as she begins to come to.She offers a hand up at first but stops upon realising there is now way she could lift Karrin at her current size. "You okay?" Merle asks "You took a couple of nasty hits there." She then turns her head over in the direction of the prisoner "Remember to ask him where the key's for the prisoners are." she yells over

LOL! I had forgotten them. Yeah, they're still about ..
The three demons slobber and roar. The lone khaasta left hisses
"SSSS! They are not my doing!"
Having RL issues now, will try and get things pieced together soonish
Phaumee sustains a nasty slash from one of the thing's rancid claws
OK, everyone in the circles still has to make a DC 13 Fort ST against the stinking cloud. You have to make a new one every round you remain in the cloud. The circle of the dead one will dissapate next round, for this round it is up.
Justin fingers the small flasks on his belt, then glances back into the tops of the potted tree-bush.
"Yeah,... Time for a picnic later. I'm outta here!" The mage murmurs to himself as he looks around.
"I'll be back for you later 'boots'!" He says to the scorched lizards at his feet. Then he turns and runs towards the down stairs,...
Whatever Justin saw in the trees doesn't confront him. He hurries down the stairs. The next level has the stairway walled off. It ends in a landing with a door set in the side and another door set at the end of the narrow room.
Quinn still wasn't sure where he was at. One moment, he had been going about his appointed duties, trying to cleanse the world of a truly evil lich, the next he was on some gargantuan tree trunk. Then he had been surrounded by giant lizard men in platemail. They had stripped him, and chained him to a coffle of wretches trudging to their lair. They had given him something to drink that made his mind unfocused. Had it been a week? A month? He wasn't sure, but he had spent much of the time in the bowels of the buildings in this strange half-world shoveling coal into huge furnaces that heated the places to the lizards' liking.
These ... khaasta ... were cruel and malevolent. Quinn hadn't eaten or drank for about a day, pretending to chew and then spitting it out when not watched. His mind had cleared somewhat, and he was contemplating his next move when something odd began to occur.
All the khaasta had run out of the buildings and dragged the slaves to the holding pens. They had then all run off. Later, several newcomers had shown up and briefly inspected the area. They had left behind a small cat-like ..boy? who was talking to a similar-looking slave he vaguely knew as Pounce.
Quinn wasn't sure, but these newcomers seemed to be fighting the slavers. They might be his ticket out of his chains ..

Perception roll and your desired action please..
"Decisions, Decisions,..." Justin murmurs, looking around the landing.
Per check:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
"Which way is what? Eenie, Meenie,..."
Do I see anything? Or have a clue what door leads to where?
"Moe!" Justin finishes. "THERE they are!" He smirks to himself as he quickly moves across the small room to the door the faint sounds of battle can be heard from. He grabs the door handle and If unlocked, or unlockable from this side yanks the door open.
"Never Fear! The mage is here!" He cries gleefully through the doorway.
Per:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
EDIT- I keep forgetting about the silly summoned Lantern Archon! HAs it been 6 rounds? (I'm thinking that Justin has gone through at least 6 rounds worth of actions at this point) If at least close, I guess we should say that it fades about now? ;P
