Her mind focussed upon the song of the spheres, Sharae’s prayers are heard…

Ayla has taken another 5hp of damage (13 total)
The party is effected by bless
the creature has taken 12 hp damage
Party is up.

I.. don't know much about this species, just it's name. but based on that alone the Cerebric Fungus seems to be a telepathic plant parasite. Perhaps anything that would be effective against plants would be useful here...
Anody begins a Naturalist performance:
Naturalist performance: The archivist and any allies within 30 feet gain a +1 insight bonus to AC and on attack rolls and saving throws against extraordinary, supernatural, and spell-like abilities
Sharae of the River |
Reaching towards the recovering Valia, Sharae calls upon the twisting strands of fate to guide the warrior’s hands…
Sharae, Bit of Luck on Valia – Any time he rolls a d20 this round, he may roll twice and take the most favourable result
This is a Spell-Like Ability and will provoke an AoO

Watch out for those tentacle things! Anody continues his performance as he tries to ping it with his crossbow.

did previous sling attack miss because Sharae provided cover? I have precise shot, so firing into melee should be okay / no penalty if not actual cover
Criek moves to try to get a clean shot around Valia and Ayla, firing again -

landing has scrambled the contents of these records. The bulk of the information and that the bulk of the most recent samples came from a planet “CX-335”, indigenous name “Kasath” The planet is an arid world with little water, violent weather patterns, and with and savage inhabitants of a predominantly hexapodous nature. There is a biodome nearby specifically created to simulate this environment.
A search of the lab reveals three pistol like devices
Anody identifies these as flare guns, somewhat time worn.
Anody Gearon, Prof. |
Let us move on. There's nothing else here. These guns may be useful to send a signal for long distances. Could be used as a single use weapon in a pinch. Should be worth a fair bit of coin as well. Anody says.
Move on to the next room?

Rats… Paizo ate my post!!! Let’s go again
Looking at the destroyed plant with disdain, ”A shame… it was clearly intelligent and could maybe have provided us with more information as to who has passed through here – a pity that its hunger got the better of it”
”It looks like a very specific area of the floor has been cleaned – almost as if something consumed the spilled blood”, Sharae points at the Fungus, ”Our friend I guess… Regardless, it seems that the trail goes onwards – let us follow it”
Assuming there is another door from this room – not sure it was ever referenced? If so, let’s move on and through
chillblame |
You open the doors to the south, and find the blood trail continues. It is obvious the fungus you just fought licked the floor clean. In front of you is a ten foot wide corridor. The blood trail leads to a set of double doors on the east side of the corridor, while an open passage heads west opposite it. The corridor continues to another set of doors to the south.

Sharae of the River |
For somewhere that has been buried for so very long, this place is exceptionally active…these 'Lords of Rust' have precipitated something here...
With an air of optimism (misplaced though that may be), Sharae agrees that the blood-stained doors are the way to go, ”Something thumping? Maybe that is Khonnir or one of his allies trying to escape? Do these doors open?”
Assuming we open the doors and as per GM’s spoilered text
”Um… Professor? Any chance we can get Genni to communicate with this machine? Or better still, shut it down? I hate to leap to conclusions but all of that blood… and those blades…”
Criek Prisil |
6 inches tall? or typo? is it clear where the thumping is coming from? does the white-clad automaton have blood on it?

You look in at a scene of horror, the room reeks of blood, which is appropriate and it seems to be covered in it.
