Lecian, Tyrrol are up for round 2.

Lothan may retcon casting Aspect since combat has begun in earnest. Let me know.

Lothan 17 +2 = 19. So we're in agreement. The gravity bow was cast in Round 1.

Lecian, OK. I thought you had. No lingering spell effects to track then.

Yep. My bad. I completely missed the +2.

And I think I will take you up on that retcon and hold off on the Aspect for now. Will move to attack when it's my turn.

Tyrrol moves into the large cave and begins moving south along the beach. His goal is the ladder up to the elves bridge. End in N6. Five feet from the ladder. 15' ladder climb to the bridge deck next turn.

Lecian delivers his scrolled spell. Four figures standing on the main deck are outlined in golden light. Two crouch low behind chests. One man kneels behind them and the fourth stands behind them all.

So is Mordecai moving directly toward the 4 glowing dark elves on the central platform and wading into the water between him and them or is he following Tyrrol south along the narrow sand strand on the east side of the cave? If following big T, (I can't count squares right now) he may not have enough movement to reach and fully climb the ladder. If he can't fully climb the ladder does he want to stay on the ground, or stop halfway up? There may be targets to the south but none are visible from Mordecai's starting point. From Mordecai's starting point (I can't count squares right now) he might be able to stand still and channel against the front rank of 2 elves on the main platform.

***************** Description from previous posts******

The dark elves are scattered along the walkways over the water. The woman who spotted you is at G9D. She barks commandingly and the elves start to converge on her location. Two of them start loading their crossbows. A few seconds later the light dims in the cavern when darkness blots out the light coming in through the opening.

In the seconds before darkness falls you make out the following features in the cave:

Several thick, rocky natural pillars rise up in this high sea cave. The water filling the lower portion of the enormous cavern sloshes and surges with the tide, and a five-foot-wide rocky beach lines the northeastern face of the pool. The cave ceiling soars to a height of eighty feet. To the south, several wooden platforms attached to the rock pillars are further supported by wooden pilings—the structure looks somewhat treacherous. The sound of rushing, falling water echoes through the chamber.

One entrance (south wall) to this sea cave opens directly to the ocean.
A gap of nearly 2 feet exists between the top of the entrance and the ocean’s surface. The dotted lines on the map show the extent of the southern entrance.

The wooden platforms and rope-and-plank bridges built up throughout the chamber are cobbled together from a varied selection of driftwood, heavy timbers and smooth planking.

****

Range to G9D is 35-50 feet, but the pool of water may prevent direct travel. The alternate route would be along the beach to the south, then across the low bridge from G9A to G9B. In any event the elves seem in no hurry to charge.

I think we can assume both sides are ready. The situation is fluid. While we are not in rounds yet, that could change at any moment. Don't post a minute's worth of actions. Post approximately a round's worth and when one side or another is ready to go or trips a response we'll begin combat in earnest.

You have had only the quickest glance into the elves' cave through a narrow line of sight. (Draw lines along the walls of the narrow doorway that determines your field of view. The pillars also block a considerable portion of your line of sight. You saw maybe 7 dark elves.

******

Mordecai's torch illuminates the the walls around him and allows the shadowy figures of black elves to be seen crouching behind the chests and running along the bridge toward area B.

(AC 19, hp 33 of 37) Human Cleric (Urgathoa) 6

Mordecai will follow Tyrrol, to the limits of his movement, and then channel, if any seem within line of effect and 30 ft. range. If not, he'll use a double move to try and get up the ladder.

He's seen the kind of crap that lives in the water around here. Swamp barracudas. Reefclaws. Bunyips. Wading is *not* an option. :)

Maps, etc...

KILLJOY!!

Mordecai dashes south to the foot of the ladder. Looking west he sees two dark elves on the platform across the bridge and reckons his channel will reach them and one of the elves on the platform.

Mordecai:
Beyond the two elves at G9B you see more elves clambering up onto the platform at G9C.

Tyrrol:
As Mordecai advances the persistent blotch of darkness rolls back. You see the two elves at G9B and beyond them at G9B you see more elves clambering up onto the platform at G9C.

Set, I'm also going to need a SR roll for the spiritual scythe. I forgot to ask for it last round.

Mordecai's dark energy rolls over its victims and they quail under its malevolence, but the gloom and distance makes it hard truly estimate its effectiveness.

Another command and darkness drops on the center platform obscuring the glowing elves.

At least one elf on the main platform wasn't blinded because a crossbow bolt wings toward Mordecai as he dashes forward...

Tyrrol climbs the ladder and gains the deck of the bridge.

You'll have a few squares of movement after climbing, enough to get about halfway across the bridge, but not enough to reach the dark elves. Press forward or stay at the top of the ladder?

Lecian casts his spell while Lothan steps into the main cavern and looses an arrow. The half-elf' shaft drives into the right breast of the crouching elf, but doesn't drop him. Lecian follows Lothan into the cave and peers about with his enhanced vision.

Lecian:
Good call on this spell. I don't have notes or the book handy so this will be vague. I'll get you more info later. There's lingering darkness effects. The drow woman who spotted you is rocking a couple magic items, armour, shortsword. The guards might have a weak item apiece, maybe not. The big reveal is that over by the waterfall on the far side of the cavern there's a pile of magic, a couple spell effects, armour, weapons hanging on another drow woman. SHe probalby would have gone un-noticed but for your spell.

Given that a single hit theoretically has the ability to remove a PC from combat, I am okay with that ;-)

Barely acknowledging the Elves that charged him as more than insentient obstacles, Tyrrol brings his flail around in a powerful blow, designed to 'clear' the first Elf out of the way!

Okay, I have no idea how to roll crit damage with Manyshot. I've never critted with Manyshot. What I did was, I just acted as if I shot only 1 arrow. So a x3 multiplier with 2d6 would be an additional 4d6. The +10 is from the Str bonus and Deadly Aim combined. The +8 is the FE bonus which I am also unsure about whether or not you are suppose to multiply it.

If I hit and kill an elf with my first attack, would it be cool to fire my 2nd attack at another one?

There's another one hiding behind the waterfall!" Lecian points out, before hustling over to Mordecai and shaking him awake.

Lothan's first shot rips into the kneeling elf and he falls to the deck. His second shot pierces an elf's bicep.

Lecian moves to Mordecai and shakes him awake. Not a glamorous turn, but no doubt a well-chosen action.

Still owe Lecian a little more data. I'll post the Drow's end of turn in a couple hours.

So my wife had other plans for last night. Anna Kareninna is an interestingly staged movie.

Lecian:
The drow all possess low level conjuration items. The commanding woman on the main platform has middling enhanced arms and armor. The woman on the ledge near the waterfall also has midling enhanced arms and armor and is suffused with two low level abjuration effects.

Lecian's "other one" is on the ledge high above the water E13. She moves her arms and hands in a purposeful weaving pattern. Seeing Lecian's notice she steps to her right so that the pillar by the waterfall shields her from Lothan's view.

The commanding woman drops behind the chest and draws a careful bead on Lothan who begins to glow faintly.

Hand Crossbow 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 ... damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Indeed it is, thanks for pointing that out. I forgot to adjust it after leveling up to six! The dark elf struck would have taken four more points from last rounds' critical hit, and another point or two from previous rounds hit(s).

I still can't believe I got a scythe crit! Woot! x4 multiplier! :)

Crit? What crit? I don't see a crit. Actually retconning the extra damage will drop your target. When does the Spiritual scythe end anyway? Please count it down.

Mordecai sees Tyrrol before him, and suspects that his immediate impulse will be to charge the blighted elves before him, and so he waits for that to happen, before moving up behind him and unleashing his dark lady's 'blessing.'

Delay action until Tyrrol goes. If Tyrrol moves foreward, Mordecai follows, moving to right behind him, before unleashing negative energy. If Tyrrols action is *not* to advance, Mordecai brushes past him and advances to K4, which should place all of the drow within 30 ft. for channeling purposes. Will DC 16 for half. Excluding Tyrrol, Lecian and Lothan, as usual.

3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3) = 14
