Now that you're standing in the cave entrance, you can see that the passage continues inward, then splits, with one fork going north and one east. The eastern one is tilted downward, so a deepening pool of water inhabits it. From the north comes the sounds of loud, froggy snores.

"Let's avoid the frogs for now. Maybe the Queen put them to sleep or something. Let's head east." Pai casts Invisibility 10' circle on the group, so that they might be a little more stealthy as they approach.

Corbyn slips ahead while Pai invisibilizes the rest. The passage opens into a small chamber to the north, while continuing onward to the east and then north. In the chamber: A soft, purplish light illuminates the northern part of this flooded chamber, where a large, square shaft opens in the ceiling. The shaft appears to be smooth and continues upward 30 feet.

In the gloom Ruperta can just make out a room ahead. The northwestern portion of the sloping flagstone floor of this chamber has been fitted with a crude horizontal wooden platform. On the platform are nine filthy straw mats, leather bags, and fishing rods. A deep musty smell of swamp is coming from there, along with the froggy snores.

The square shaft goes up about 30 feet and opens into another room above. However, Ruperta can't hear or see anything from up there...

The water gets deeper and deeper until Ruperta is swimming! She turns the corner and peers northward. The northeast corner of this chamber is fitted with a wooden platform that seems to float on the water’s surface. A few barrels sit on the platform.

Ruperta goes into the room with the Boggards, thinking the diplomatic approach seemed easier in her mind.
She sits on the floor, some distance away, unarmed, and calls at them.
"Excuse me?"
To make this quick, she will try to make them see she, and her friends, only want passage, and not to attack them, by hand signals if needed. She is willing to gave them 3 gp she has, if needed.

The boggards all start and look up blearily. They blink their large eyes and seeing Ruperta, immediately go for their weapons. However, hearing her words seems to confuse them. They exchange glances and low croaks, until one steps forward. "You serve the Horned Queen? You serve the Lady of the Stone?" He seems to be referring to the Queen, with her Crown of Fangs and possibly the nude female figure of the sunken pyramid you're in right now.

"Oh yes, they are just great! Could you tell us where he Horned Queen has gotten off to? We are here looking for her. She's expecting us."

The boggard bobs his head. "The Horned Queen waits above in the chamber of blood. She forbids us to go there, and warns us to avoid below, where the ancient Claw lives."

"The Ancient Claw sounds like a dragon. After our last encounter with one of those, I say we leave it alone, and just deal with the Queen. If we are quick and stealthy, it will be over before she could call for the Ancient Claw."

Pai tugs at Ruperta's arm. "Ah, yes. Thanks again. We will tell the Queen you were of great service." They are getting suspicious, Pai thinks as she tries to drag her friends away.

Ruperta flies up, but finds nothing to secure a rope to. Finally she braces and helps the others come up, one at a time.

The air in this large room is warm and pleasant. Floor, walls, and ceiling are tiled with polished rose-colored marble slats, and weaving in and out of the walls, climbing from the floor to the ceiling above, are dozens of thin crystal tubes. A shaft drops away in the floor to the southwest, while a second shaft rises up through the ceiling to the northeast.

To the east three globes of fire hang suspended from the ceiling to illuminate this room with a soft, pleasant light. The southern portion of the floor is occupied by an L-shaped wooden platform built on a pedestal. The platform is furnished with a double bed, fine carpets, an angular cupboard and a chest of drawers. Atop the chest of drawers stands a crystal vase with fresh violets and lotus flowers. Next to the bed stands a beautiful harp with a matching stool.

To the west the western portion of this room is occupied by an L-shaped
wooden platform built on a pedestal. A small iron stand sits on the platform—cradled in it is a dark blue gemstone the size of a child’s fist.

I'm here! Still kicking around Oracle, Summoner, Witch although could be persuaded away to a group need.

I'm leaning towards Halfling or Gnome flipping between blind and lame both are interesting from a roleplay perspective Oracle Human Summoner or Human Witch


I've narrowed my focus to Cleric. Deciding on deity, race and fluff. Is Axel going to join us?

Detritus, honestly I can make just about any concept fit. Lamm, the initial bad-guy, is a druglord and enslaver of children. All you need is a reason to hate the guy and we're good!

I guess I am Mystery-Mysterious, but most call me Glen.
Based on what you guys look to be leaning toward, I will probably lean toward a Rogue (race and flavor yet to be determined).

Too funny when I was thinking Oracle your picture is what I was going to use...


I am going to go with the Summoner. Background, raised in the poor parts of town kidnapping was a frequent occurance, his little sister was taken one night and his world has never been the same. Now he hates kidnappers and does whatever he can to help the victims, or avenge the families.

Not overly tall or overly muscled there seems to be a quiet menance around the scared man.

I'm Slumper, if I had a real name I forgets long time ago. I grew up on the streets running from one beating to the next. As one of Lamm's "special" kids I have more reason to hate him than any. I know I aint book smart nor easy on the eyes. That's what a life of being beaten to a pulp gets you. Got the name from always slouching and slumping around trying to make myself small and not be noticed. I finally escaped from Lamm and landed from bad to worse. New master saw the fire in me and made me a pit fighter. You guess the rest.

I'm back and I will have my revenge.

Hello! Brim's the name and lawn darts is my game! I am the son of rich parents and share the same faith as my friend, Jebbediah. We have shared many a brew and many a game of lawn darts. Learned fencing as a young lad and still practice it to this day. Not too shabby I would say! Some of the kids that played lawn darts with me have gone missing and I suspect a man named Lamm to be the reason. Who will join me in dispatching the fiend?

The summoner is all but done, i have to do the equipment and add it to the profile. On summoned creatures, do you want their summoned stats in the profile, or since they are all in the PRD is it ok to leave them off?

Corbyn Barrett has been a scout, a thief, a mercenary, and worse, but it was his addiction to Shiver that has led to his pursuit of Lamm. After a series of horrors he was hired to perform, Barrett delved into the use of Shiver in order to help escape the memories of the things he had done and it almost killed him. He was found in an alley by the mother of a boy who died of a Shiver overdose and nursed back to health. To repay her, he agrees to hunt down Lamm who she blames for her son's death.

Okay gents! With the death of Lamm, you all gain enough XP to hit 2nd level. Go ahead and level up. You can either roll for hit points, in which case re-roll any 1s. Or you can take half+1, ie for a fighter (d10 hit die nets you 6 hp/level). Once you choose, keep that method.

We each got 10 copper and 10 silver in coins
We gave the studded leather armor and the kukri from the gnome fight to the kids so they could sell and eat.
