Ruperta teleports next to Slumper (and away from the Mastis leader if she can), appearing next to him, crouched, and kiss him in the lips.
She casts Breath of Life, trying to heal and save him.
Heals: 5d8 + 12 ⇒ (7, 4, 8, 1, 1) + 12 = 33
Unlike other spells that heal damage, breath of life can bring recently slain creatures back to life. If cast upon a creature that has died within 1 round, apply the healing from this spell to the creature. If the healed creature's hit point total is at a negative amount less than its Constitution score, it comes back to life and stabilizes at its new hit point total. If the creature's hit point total is at a negative amount equal to or greater than its Constitution score, the creature remains dead. Creatures brought back to life through breath of life gain a temporary negative level that lasts for 1 day.

DM pleading:
Can we say Ruperta did cast "Shield Other" on Slumper on the morning? In that case she would cast Heal on Slumper.

Sorry about that :), for some reason I cannot get the map to come up
Thrak is going to pounce if he can, if not he is going to take just his bite action

Bite 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29, 2d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 23 ⇒ (2, 5) + (2) + (5) + 23 = 37
Bite 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23, 2d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 23 ⇒ (2, 2) + (3) + (5) + 23 = 35
claw 11d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34, 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (7) + (3) + (1) + 17 = 28
claw 2 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33, 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (8) + (2) + (4) + 17 = 31
claw 3 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31, 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (6) + (6) + (5) + 17 = 34
claw 4 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35, 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (5) + (6) + (1) + 17 = 29
Rend (Ex): 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16

Thrak's mighty claws are the only things that can penetrate the Red Mantis' defenses and only twice then! She falls, dropping to one knee, blood flowing from her mouth. She spits, cursing you all. "You may defeat me, but the Mantis knows where you sleep. It knows where your loved ones rest. One day you will wake to find your bed swimming in blood, you family dead, your friends mutilated. The Mantis walks in blood, children. And he will always be just behind you..."

With this, she seems to dissolve, her body exploding into a pool of blood that evaporates with a hiss, leaving behind her gear, but nothing more. Her subordinate assassins' bodies disappear as well, leaving no physical remains behind...

I will be off to Gencon Thursday-Sunday. I will resume posting on Monday. Feel free to roleplay while I'm away!

Ooo, nasty visual. Have fun at the Con! Look forward to you killing us next week!

Pai rushes to Ruperta's side and administers a curative potion to her friend. "We still have work to do. You get up right now...we can't lose you!"

Clw 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Even with the potion Ruperta keeps very hurt and unconscious.

Paxs pulls out his wand and casts its healing magic on Ruperta.

I have 22 charges, cure moderate wounds 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13

Ruperta opens her eyes, and smiles sweetly with her blood soaked mouth.
"Hi Paxs! Did we win? Is everyone one else ok?"
I guess that took care of the Red Mantis item on our check list! What did we won?

Ruperta will see if the clerics there can help heal her.

There is a few moments until the priests of Pharasma rush down the hidden stairs to the catacombs. Seeing the empty armor of the Mantises, they rush over and begin to heal all of you who need it, asking what happened. Heal up to full and while you're at it, level up to Level 13!

Wow, she had good stuff! It'll take me a day or two to get leveled, but I agree with Ruperta...yay!

In the aftermath of the Red Mantis attack, there is a great deal of discussion of whether to move the secret base, but after discussion and debate, it is decided to stay, as there is nowhere else to go.

The hideout goes on high alert, but nothing else happens. You rest, heal your wounds and discuss your next step. According to intelligence gathered by the Marshall, the Queen is scheduled to address a small crowd of nobles in the Castle square tomorrow. Kroft expects there to be a crowd of 20-30 nobles, a band of 10 Grey Maidens and the acting Seneschal, the bloatmage Togomor in attendance. She also tells you that she thinks a simultaneous attack on the Queen by you along with an attack by her people on armories and guard posts around Korvosa would be an excellent opening salvo in a coup attempt.

Pai was excited. "We need a plan. That evil wizard needs to be neutralized first thing. He can teleport the Queen and himself with the snap of a finger. When we hit him, it has to be overwhelming so we can finish him before he does anything."

Paxs, could you summon something that could grapple Toggy, and maybe disrupt him from vanishing into thin air? I hate to be without Thrak for the fight, but we need to get that wizard, I think.

"I think teleportation is the way to go. They know we are coming. Security will be tight and they'll surely be looking for us in the crowd. I also a think it's like be a good idea for all of us to be able to see Invisible creatures. I'd bet they have some of their own summoned up, waiting for us. They might be hidden for all we know. Ruperta, that spell will be wonderful against the wizard! We need to remember to focus on him first. If he has summoned creatures, if he goes down, they will disappear too!"

I think I'm correct on that last part.

Will prepare Invisibility Purge as a Level 3 spell, that will get us a 65' area around Ruperta of no invisibility.

She can teleport 4 medium creatures or equivalent... that leaves Thraks out :S
Or maybe another one can teleport Thraks?
