If my next turn comes up when I'm AFK, I will do the same thing; move within 30' of the cat and ready to heal.
Ranalus does not want to kill museum guards even if they have mistaken us for the enemy.

If we want to go outside the box, if the others restraint the kitty somehow, kuriq can talk or knock sense into it.

It's got a lot of HP, but doesn't do that much damage. Ranalus could activate his DR 10/Cold Iron and just tank hits from the thing until it gets bored.
I know it's RPG habit to kill anything that attacks you, buuuut... this is a case of mistaken identity.

@ ChaosOrbit: Quick question about 'Part B'. Are we supposed to play this scenario like 'Part A' never happened and we have not done this before? It may be harder for our table to do as we reunited our awesome scenario crushing team from last time. Plus, the last time I played Kivuli was for 'Part A', so it was literally the last thing he did. I'm certain there will be differences, but for now, should we just play it like this is all new?

There isn't really any guidance about it. The common thought is let the players interrupt it however they want and what makes sense to them.

My suggestion: Your character fells a strong deja vu; but can't quite recall the details, allowing it to play out as new events. Why who knows. But that's not cannon, just what makes sense to me.

Edit: And the 3rd part is all new!

By the way, Ranalus has used a Channel Energy to boost the aid token and move it along.
Would Kivuli have been able to use his Light and Dark ability to negate the shade's touch? If it is a negative energy effect, the wayang racial ability is usable as an immediate action. I know it negates regular damage from negative energy but 'treated as if she were an undead creature' could imply negating ability damage as well.

Yes, that would work, the exiled shade write up specifically says its INT damage is a negative energy effect...but you can't use immediate actions flat-footed.
