Zamir backs away and the tiger instinctively moves in front of his master.

Pathfinder Society you say? Intriguing. You definitely have Zamir's attention and you speak of offers and bargains. I won't lie the Aspis Consortium scratches my back from time to time, what can the Pathfinder Society offer me? A better deal, yes? Tell Zamir of this deal.

He looks and you can tell he distrusts your words and it will be difficult to convince him but you feel he prefers talking to fighting, so there is a start.

”The Aspis Consortium?” Garduk asks, incredulous. ”How do they scratch your back? You sell them the artifacts of your homeland in secret, so they can make twice the profit themselves? With no credit to you? How does that make you different from a common bandit?”

”Work with the Pathfinders, and you can do so more openly and get the credit for some of these amazing finds. Be a true hero to your people, with all of the fame and prestige that comes with it, instead of selling off their patrimony to a cabal of scoundrels who would not even be the highest bidders if you were not forced to deal in the darkness.”

”Or continue to allow the Snakes to cover the history and wonder of your nation in secrecy. By the Eye of Nethys, man, how is this even a choice?”

Zamir considers your words for a moment.

Yes, yes, the snakes can't be trusted, Zamir has learned that lesson the hard way, but they have seen that my coffers have been filled many times too. He seems torn. And yet, the Pathfinder Society has a strong reputation and tails of glory, everyone knows it. And adding another great to there ranks would surely help everyone involved! He does seem excited by the prospect. Still He begins to argue with himself.

As Garduk initiates the bargaining, Brayne takes the opportunity to tap himself with a curse of guidance.

"There's always two of a coin my friend, the side that's rotten and will have you working under the guise of rottenness. How long can you keep it up before more pathfinders or enforcement take down everything you build in a single day? Or the side of light, that you can hold your head up high, and always be proud of your hard earned reputation and work."

"I do believe it is wrong, and certainly the Society frowns on its members keeping people as slaves. We are not here to debate morality with you, but Nethys weeps, man! The waste of magical talent these people represent is simply unconscionable! Even if they are rank amateurs, they would surely achieve more in freedom than they can in chains. Why, this trick they do, disassembling wondrous items to evade detection, that alone could be of use to the Society. If even one of them would agree - of their own free will - to teach others how to do it, reverse it, and detect items that have undergone the process, that would be very valuable."

Zamir furrows his brow and thinks for awhile. Then a smile crosses his face, This is important to you isn't it. Zamir will free them and let's find out how great this partnership shall be.

Zamir is true to his word and frees them immediately, he seems overjoyed to be joining the Pathfinder Society.

When you return to Venture-Captain Mihir he's also is pleased.

Well done Pathfinders, Zamir will make a fine addition to our ranks, I know he's not without his warts, so I'll keep a close watch on him, but overall I call this a major win for the Society here in Jalmeray!
