NOTE: I'll need you to show your updated inventory sheet on the Google Sheet we're using.

I'm interested in playing a Shoanti shaman called on by Desna.

It looks like you lost a brawler, are you looking for another melee-type?

Shadow Lodge

Does one start as a mythic character? And are we still going level 1
I was thinking sorcerer of Nethus or arcane duelist bard of desna

@Tanner: not really, the group already has a lot of melee potential. They're lacking a divine spellcaster except for the anti-paladin, although he doesn't do much in that field

-Posted with Wayfinder

@Lord: no, I'll personally setup a trial for you by lvl5 or so. It'll largely depend on your backstory so keep up the story.

Fair warning there are 2 CE and 2 CN. Chaotic is a requirement for our side and CG might find their patience tried at the least, especially by my character.

Grand Lodge

Quick question are all the divine class available (cleric / oracle?)

Will there be PvP between the order and Chaos group?

ophia was born to her mother as her third child. His birth however wasn’t the blessing omen most people would receive. Isilda Coric was a lower noblewoman in the Dragon isle who was in an arranged marriage that proved unfruitful. Unknown that it was her husband who couldn’t conceive, he turned against her in a violent way. Isilda eventually fell into the arms of an other man, Talathel Mertan. This affair wound up with carrying his child. When the child was born, her husband was furious and sent her away. Talathel followed her to Nybor, and they both named the boy Kyras. 4 years later, they had a girl who was named Liadla. As time passed, both Isilda and Talathel began to make plans for them to leave Nybor. However, once they had decided to act on their plans, they discovered she was pregnant once again. 10 years after Liadla, Sophia was born.

Upon Sophia birth, Talathel made his own assumption that the child wasn’t his. He figured that because she had done it once before, Isilda had an affair against him and he left, leaving her and their children behind. In truth though, the child was his. Sophia was to be born, however Isilda’s very distant and dormant celestial bloodline destined Sophia for other plans. SHe was born human, but after Talathel left, a local cleric of Shelyn identified hr father as an aasimar. Kyras stepped up in place of his father abandoning them, but there was only so much he could do. In his first few years, Sophia was treated kindly. As she continued to grow up, more and more people began see her for something else as ther Birthmark grew. Isilda soon fell for the cleric who helped her get through his birth and they had two girls of their own, the first 3 years after Sophia and the other one year later. She was now the middle child.

As Kyras was now 18 after the births of Mari and Saleen, and decided to take up arms against the rising goblin raids in the area. Liadla, being 14, decided the nonviolent path and became in tune with nature. As time went by, Sophia began to idolize her half elven siblings. When she was old enough, Sophia underwent training in the religious order at is was apparent that she was chosen. Sophia continued to grow up, learning , her fiery personality becoming stronger. She made friends and developed a relationship that taught her about love. But like most first love it ended after a year or two rather badly. That is when she took up to travelling.

Now a few years older confident and secure in the divine power she Lands on a new port ready for new challenges to arise.

now need to see what i can come up with.

Hey, another current player popping in to say hello.

As Bobbity mentioned above, the current group is CN and CE, so expect a fair bit of cantankerous interaction at the beginning, and a lot of spontaneity and fun with relatively little moral inhibitions going on at some points, I should think. Good and Evil shouldn't be a huge problem, though, as it seems that GM DFang's game is more focused on Law vs. Chaos.

That said, I don't think we should expect much PvP with the Order side for a while. DFang mentioned we'll run into each other from time to time perhaps, with or without knowing it, but we probably won't have our final epic showdown until we're at appropriate levels of power (see: really high level and hopefully mythic).

On the subject of deities, we should probably get that out there, since I believe DFang still wants it to be one champion per deity. Currently represented are Azathoth, Calistria, Gorum, and Nemyth Vaar.

Submitting Lise Kharisthana, representing the CG deity Milani. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns. I wouldn't necessarily expect any issues getting along with other alignments--we'd all be working toward a similar goal, after all.

Grand Lodge

Dang i had made Sophia a cleric of Gorum.

Changing then to A cleric of Sekhmet (C-N) with domains of Destruction (Rage) and War

pavaan here, witch gravewalker archetype, deity Urgathoa, mythic archmage,
Chaotic evil. will make as many undead as possible, if only because in play by post format it does not bog down combat. and i have been wanting to play a necromancer for years.

updating this char for this game.

This is the submission for Tanner Nielsen.

Ilya Shukhov
CE Human Cleric (Undead Lord)
Deity: Charon
Mythic Path: Hierophant

Description:

Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 150lb

You see a angular man with shoulder-length black hair and pale, tight skin. His eyes are bright red, with flecks of orange near the iris. He has a thin nose, high and sharp cheek bones, pointed ears, and a strong jaw. A pair of curved ram's horns sprout from his head and curl around his ears. Dark tattoos on his face give the visage of a skull. He is dressed in dark traveling clothes with a black hooded cloak, hiding scale mail armor underneath. He wears a sickle at his belt and a heavy wooden shield on his back. He is tall, with a slim frame and straight posture.

Personality:

No one would ever call Ilya a friendly person. Or nice, or caring, or warm, or anything of that sort. He has a tendency of scaring children and the elderly who cross his path, and a disconcerting disregard for people around him. Professional? Of course. Competent? Very much. Meticulous? Sometimes tediously so. But never friendly. It is difficult to know whether or not Ilya cares for or approves any person or thing in particular - most of the time he is quick to recognize faults, especially his own, and is terse with praise. He is the sort of person you want tackling a tough project, but would never invite to a dinner party. Not that it would have bothered him, of course.

Background:

Ilya Shukhov was born a bastard in the city of Oppara. His mother was a minor noblewoman of House Simoen, who conceived him after a brief tryst with a shadowy merchant envoy from Qadira. Unfortunately for her, that envoy was a vampire in disguise, and nine months later her baby was born with sallow skin and red eyes.

As you can guess, this was received poorly. She was stripped of her babe and sworn to secrecy, relocated to another part of Taldor. The word was spread that her baby had died in childbirth, and young Ilya was abandoned anonymously at a church of Abadar. Had he been found by a wise and kind cleric, he might have been taught in the ways of righteousness and honor. But fate intervened in the form of a hooded figure who passed by the church, saw the deformed child, and took it away in the darkness of the night.

Instead, Ilya was raised by a witch of Charon, who saw potential in the young dhampir. She adopted him, named him, and raised him. He spent his childhood in a small village on the outskirts of the Verduran Forest. Early in his upbringing, the witch sensed the capacity for great devotion in the boy, and through hours of meditation and rigorous mental exercise was able to bring his abilities to fruition. He was a spectre, and found solace and companionship with the undead. He kept his skills well-hidden, and practiced them away from the suspicious eyes of the local villagers.

In time he became a man, and continued to practice his dark arts. One night, he had a dream. He stood in a field of grass, lit by moonlight. From the horizon crept a river, dark as pitch, rising and falling over knolls. It passed by him, bubbling and stinking with death. From the waters rose a pale figure, a skeleton garbed in black robes. It extended a hand, beckoning the young boy. You. Yes, you will do. You shall be my herald. Go forth, young one. Spread my gospel of death. Be my champion of decay. Triumph over all. A thin ray of crackling shadow shot from the hand of the skeleton and struck Ilya in the chest. He awoke screaming, drenched in sweat. He knew what he had to do.

Ilya Shukhov, cleric of Charon, sits by the fire. A glass of wine sits on a table beside him as he reads from a small book bound in black leather. Despite the jovial and lively air of the tavern, no one sits next to him. The very air near him seems still and cold despite the flames of the hearth. He looks up and gives a small nod in greeting. "Good evening. So, you have decided to accept that "life" is a grand falsehood? That is well, for only now can you begin to move on, to explore this stage of your death and move toward the next. Yes, all stages of existence are levels of death. You do not seem excited by this knowledge. That bodes well. Emotions reveal you as one who still clings to the illusion of "life." Remember this : without passion, a body has no pain. Divest yourself of all passions, and you will progress toward True Death. That is our goal, and not an easy one, at that. One cannot achieve True Death, the ideal state, until one leaves hope behind - the very hope that fuels the desire for life. Why desire life..."

"When one can embrace death..."

"Join the True Death..."

"...yessss..."

"...Hmm? Oh, you are still here. Ah, True Death. The walking dead approach this final stage. Obviously, the undead are more dead than most of us. But passions may still prove their undoings. Were I one to feel, or to weep, I would do so at the thought of the multitudes still clutching so fiercely at the trappings of "life," when they can comeso close to True Death. As long as they cling to the illusion of "life," it will cling to them, preventing them from ever reaching the ultimate stage of existence..."

"Do not enjoy your stay here. I would be alone now."

@Max_Sterling: Hey, welcome back to the pool!

As before, I'm more interested in the story of your character since it'll be my reference for your mythic ascension trial and other story hooks. Although being a divine spellcaster is definitely a plus.

Selected PC will be announced ~12hrs.

well that was fun, updating her to fit this game. was a little chalanging to fit in all the traits and drawback. so it might seem a little forced. but here it is

Bio:

appearance,
she has blond hair, her traveling cloths are of simple stuff but has many different areas of embroidery making the outfit look more refined.

Background
She was taught the ways of her crafting in Geb, her masters taught her how to best ensnare the mindless undead the are common in the city, she had a habit of making the ones she controlled dress up, her teacher frowned at that so she had to stop, at least where he could see, she started to craft dolls in privet away from her masters eyes. he taught her ways to cut the cost on making magic items it did not save much but she took the lesson to heart, using the money saved to go partying or fund her privet pleasure of making dolls. she found out that she could make scrolls of spells she could not cast, after much trial and error she discovered she did not have to force her will on the scrolls she could cheat and use some of her intelligence to make the scroll work, her master found out about this and tested her ability on other items and found out that she had a gift for using magic items that were not meant for her. She left Geb and used the money saving methods that her master taught her to find those that wish to buy and sell in towns, they were not always easy to find. but she found with some effort and luck she could find someone willing to buy or sell things that the settlement she was in would not otherwise care about one way or another.

Cyithar loves to travel see new places, she makes a memory of each new place she finds with a doll that best represents the memory's she made at that place. From time to time she sends the dolls home in what ever way she can so as to not risk them in her further travels.

she is a young soul at heart viewing everything with wounder, she is a bit naive at times but believes that it will all work out in the end, and she will get some new dolls out of the experience.

A low power caster she does not like to fight if at all possible, but is willing to aid her current ally's in what ever way she can.

She finds herself drifting in a void after sending all but her last dolls home

She follows Urgathoa, not because of any calling, but she is one of the few deities that let her indulge in her more unique interests when it comes to doll making, that of making body's into dolls. Seeing her own work moving is what she longs for most and the easiest way is by animating the dead. with cute outfits and masks to make them her own and not just any walking dead body. her time crafting her dolls makes her happy, the time with a wiped out village was the best for her, still a little sad that she could not take her works of art with her.

Did I say a Shoanti shaman? I was performing worship to Cayden Cailean, and decided to instead submit a Rahadoumi oracle chosen unwillingly by Desna to represent the interests of mortals as an agent of Chaos.

Shadow Lodge

I'm dropping out, I was accepted into a D20 modern game and that's taking a lot of my attention
Woulda loved to join it sounds like fun but I don't have proper character build time

Grand Lodge

Well, that was a tough decision. Sorry for the delay but I had to sleep over my decision and felt that Ilya would better fit our story.

Please post in the discussion section if you're ready to go. I already have an idea on how to 'plug' you into the game.
