Grand Lodge

Hi all. I'm located in Sydney and work obscene hours on line so I can post late US & asia/euro times. Never played an alchemist before but am very much looking forward to it.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Good morning,

I'm on EST, so shouldn't be an issue posting. I'm new to PbP, but have tabletopped for years.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Also, I realized that I miscalculated my Feats - so I don't qualify for Weapon Focus:Longsword and will swap it out for Combat Expertise.

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

Morning everyone. I live in a suburb of Chicago so I'm CST here. Unfortunately I don't have regular internet access so I'll only be able to post for about 2 hours a day.

Male Human (Varisian) Oracle (Life)/ 1 [(Crowns) Charisma]

Hi all! This is my first time PbP as well but I have RPG'd for years. Been playing Pathfinder for a couple of years but this is my first time playing an oracle. Looking forward to it.

I live in NY so i'm on EST as well. I usually get on-line in the morning and then in the evening.

So being new to PbP are there any particular rules or even a guide I could read?

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

Be sure to read the how to format your text spoiler below the text box where you type messages. You've figured out how to create an alias which is the most challenging thing.

Other than that I can't think of any specific rules but I'm sure if problem comes up we'll solve it.

Female Human Bladebound Magus 4; Initiative +5; Perception +2; hp 34; AC 19 (11 touch, 14 flat-footed; +1 Dex., +4 armour, +4 Shield spell); Fort. +5/+6; Ref. +2; Will +4

Hello, everyone. I'm on central European time, so my schedule may not mesh perfectly with everyone else's... alas! I have been roleplaying for several years, some of it tabletop, some of it pbp. My experience with the Pathfinder system has been theoretical - until now! Let the games begin! ^^

AC14, touch 12, FF12, HP 8/[9], Fort:+3 ;Ref:+4 ;Will+3, Init +2, Perc +5 (+6 vs traps), Sen Mot +2 Bombs 2/[5] Male Ustalav Human Alchemist (Chirurgeon/Cyrptbreaker)/1

So who is who?

I'm the Alchemist/Trapsmith/Semi-Skill Monkey with the Van Helsing Complex.

We have a Skillful Fighter (Tactician), a very interlectual homeland hating Cheliaxian magus, a fortune telling/harrow reading Oracle of Life, and the monster hunting Inquisitor of Iomadae.

Gimme a bit to look at skill gaps but I like this mix... a pretty good offensive punch.

Female Human Bladebound Magus 4; Initiative +5; Perception +2; hp 34; AC 19 (11 touch, 14 flat-footed; +1 Dex., +4 armour, +4 Shield spell); Fort. +5/+6; Ref. +2; Will +4

I'm the Magus. Pleased to meet you. ^^

Grand Lodge

Is there allowance for any last minute changes to the characters? I think I'd like to move my Cha from its 9 to 8 and give my strength a boost... encumbrance is killing me atm and I am just scraping through on a light load

Skill gaps are what multiclassing is for. ^^

You should have bought a donkey like I did. ^^

Grand Lodge

Donkeys get run off or eaten.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Good point, I've swapped out my chainmail for scale mail and dropped the waterskin off my equipment to get unencumbered.

Also hi, I'm the Inquisitor, Theodor.

Grand Lodge

One question I want to ask is, while I think it will be a loooooooooong time before we wrap up Harrowstone, is there a place later we can buy magic items in chapter 2 or 3 or are we relying only on the loot as found in game?

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

I'm the fighter Tomnus.

So Eloise are you the only female in the party?

Sorry about the delay in posting but I was dealing with a migraine yesterday that made me wish my head would just explode and get it over with.
Regarding encumbrance, I'm not a stickler on a charcter's gear weight as long as your not carrying anything obviously heavy, say like an anvil or something similiar.
I will post up the initial introduction later today, but just an FYI, I will be out of town this weekend visiting my in-laws and won't be back until late Sunday night.

Looks like it!

Migraines are nasty, so you shouldn't feel too bad about any delays.

Weekends are always slow in pbps, in my experience, so don't worry about that, either. ^^

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Hey no worries, it happens. So I can readd the gear I subtracted earlier today without too much of a problem, or I can keep it off for now and stick with light encumbrance. Up to your call (I don't mind the +1AC from better armor)

Grand Lodge

I was thinking of getting a mithril lined armoured coat if we can spend loot on magic items (counting as light armour) - sure I could also aim for Mithril chain but it doesnt radiate cool like the coat.

An Armored coat is considered medium armor. Even if it's made of mithril you would still need the Medium armor proficiency to wear it.

Grand Lodge

True but I can buy that or choose to eat the penalty

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

I will be here when you return oh great and powerful GM.

Hopefully at one point I'll have in-laws to visit as well...but seeing how my girlfriend and I have only been dating for a week...we're a while off from that point.

The in-game thread is now up and can be found Here

Male Human (Varisian) Oracle (Life)/ 1 [(Crowns) Charisma]

i updated my character... i spent some money on equipment.
also - any guidelines/rules for your game?

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

Glad to see the dice roller love me as much as it usually does...sheesh

Grand Lodge

So can I adjust str to 13 and Cha from 9 to 8?

So nice of you to barge into a morning woman's house lol.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Hey I'm 'distracted'

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

Good excuse lol.

Grand Lodge

Actually he left me a fantastic narrative opening I grabbed with both hands. He did say he was distracted and I thought "bonus"

Oh you aren't the only one apparently...

Given that Pharasma is one of the major goddesses I would think only a DC:10 would be needed to identify the sign of her religious followers. Kind of like making the sign of the cross for Christians or the Salaam for Islam.

Grand Lodge

I was thinking about the rolls earlier, both on this and another pbp. We may want think about aid another, take 10 Or 20

That is a very good point. How should we handle this in the future?

GM - do you have any guidelines we should use in the future?

Just in case you can't tell, I'm making these 'traditions' up on the fly

Female Human Bladebound Magus 4; Initiative +5; Perception +2; hp 34; AC 19 (11 touch, 14 flat-footed; +1 Dex., +4 armour, +4 Shield spell); Fort. +5/+6; Ref. +2; Will +4

Fine with me. ^^ Eloise is going to the back of the pack, not because she caught on to the tradition, but because Kendra asked her.

Female Human Bladebound Magus 4; Initiative +5; Perception +2; hp 34; AC 19 (11 touch, 14 flat-footed; +1 Dex., +4 armour, +4 Shield spell); Fort. +5/+6; Ref. +2; Will +4

Ahh, looks like the first conflict of the campaign has found us! ^^ How convenient, we didn't even have to go out and look for it.

Male Human (Varisian) Oracle (Life)/ 1 [(Crowns) Charisma]

should we takes bets on if the die roller will ever break single digits?

;-p

Grand Lodge

I did it AND on a stinking Aid Another roll :(

Male Human Inquisitor 1

whee tension! Nice intro so far.

Male Human Fighter(Tactition) 1

I'm glad you stepped up Theodore because I'm not sure Tomnus's "we come in peace" shpeel would have gone over to well seeing how he's wearing three different weapons and armor...

Male Human Inquisitor 1

You could have used the universal greeting: Bah weep gragnah weep nini bong!

Theodor Rostmanov wrote:

Thanks, I try. Anyone else want to chime in and try to help Theodor?
