"I shall submit to your wisdom then. Though I would suggest we go to the crypt first to make ourselves better able to defend this place"

"That order's fine with me," Cat nods.

"Tell me when you want me on watch and I will take that shift. I have always had unusual sleep habits."

At some point after completing his first session of research, Trebelos reports to whoever is around and awake.

"So I haven't found a lot, but I did learn a bit. The Whispering way is sort of a cult or secret club of necromancers and undead wizards. Tar-Baphon the Whispering Tyrant, was their most famous leader, but not their founder. It looks like they've been around for a long time. Thousands of years."

"Hmmm.... that is unsettling. As for taking a shift at watch, I believe we have the whole night covered, though there will be plenty of opportunities for a shift over the next few weeks."

With that Ulfric will continue to converse with or help any one that needs a hand and when everyone starts to head off to bed he will walk around the house keeping watch, and wake Catrine at 2 in the morning.

Cat spends her few hours on watch occasionally pacing around the house listening for trouble, but mostly attempting quite unsuccessfully to evoke a set of dancing lights. If her shift is uneventful as she hopes, she'll return to her room, frustrated and sleepy, to wake up Kirian and turn the watch over to her before going back to sleep.

Cassandra looks up from her reading, horrified "Do you really suggest breaking into a tomb in broad daylight? What if we were to get caught? Half the town already thinks that the Professor was a necromancer, what would the other half think if friends of his, strangers in their town, were caught desecrating a tomb?" Cassandra's mismatched eyes bore into Ulfric "From what I've gathered from reading these books the Whispering Way has been here and have gone. They've taken something...or someone from the prison and have gone on their merry way. Given the manner of Professor Lorrimor's death, they had a hand in it somehow. His skull being crushed wasn't just some freak accident, it was a deliberate attempt to keep from communicating with him after his death. A signature move of these vile people."
Taking a deep breath she attempts to get a grip on her anger "The Whispering Way has had more than two weeks since the Professor's death to move against Kendra and they don't seem like the type to wait for reinforcements arrive before they strike, so I believe they have moved on from here. The only thing we need to fear is the townsfolk's reaction to strangers in their midst. So to that end I suggest we visit the temple first thing in the morning and talk to this Father Grimsburrow and tell him what we've learned and ask for his permission to examine this forgotten tomb for this cache. If he doesn't believe us or for some reason doesn't give his blessing we can always visit this tomb under the cover of darkness, because no self respecting person would be caught dead visiting a graveyard at night."

"If it bothers you that much then we can wait, though if the whispering way are as prepared and able as you mention, who's to say they haven't simply been watching Kendra to see who comes to the aid of the Professor? The longer we wait the more likely we are to be caught unprepared by them." Ulfric replies with a shrug, unperturbed by the outburst.

Not like the townsfolk need much of an excuse to do anything. A half Orc in the necromancers house is a good enough reason for a lynching to start

Woken by Catrine in the night, Miriam patrols around the interior of the house, dressed in a sort of ramshackle mix of her nightclothes and armor until the dawn of the new day arises.

I'm just going with the assumption that nothing happened over night. If that's incorrect feel free to correct me GM Wulfson, I just wish to continue RPing Ulfric

Waking in the light of the morning, Ulfric get his things together and goes out to the main sitting area to eat some breakfast.

"So did the nights watch pass well for your?" Ulfric asks Kirian the next time she walks into the room, "You can probably take a break and eat or something if you want, given that two of us are awake now and I hope the others are soon to follow"

Slawomir wakes up with the sun and spends some time studying his spell book. He will swap out a few prepared spells.

He then gets ready to go out, saying "Save me some breakfast. I need to go feed and water Vasilisa. I'll bring her back to the house she might be useful if we are collecting anything heavy."

Cat comes down yawning to grab some breakfast.

"I was thinking last night," she says to Ulfric in a conspiratorial tone. "The Professor doesn't think the Pharasmins even know about that cache. If we ask them if we can have it, it ruins and plausible deniability we might have when it turns up missing. I'm assuming that we need this stuff or the Professor wouldn't have mentioned it. I'm good at getting in and out of places quickly and without getting noticed, but that doesn't help if we straight-up tell them that we did it."

Considering Catrine's words, Ulfric nods in agreement and replies,

"Yes, I had thought to suggest we go last night, but thought better of it considering the lack of preparation and the news we had just received. When we go to the church we will just have to make sure no one mentions the cache, as I believe we are only going there to look into the history of Harrowstone."

Shrugging a bit and stretching, Ulfic continues,

"We should go tonight though at the latest. The only problem I see with that, is that any light sources will be very noticeable and more likely to attract townsfolk at night than a few people going to see their recently departed friend in the day. I have no problem with the dark but you, Slav and Kirian probably will"

Kirian, even with her solemn and quiet demeanor, Kirian saunters over to Ulfric tiredly, "Didn't spot a thing out of the ordinary. I'll take a rest then get something to eat before we go."

Slav comes back, having tied up his donkey outside. He picks up a piece of fruit from the table and takes a bite.

"So, beg forgiveness or ask permission? I'm fine either way. But if we are waiting here for a while, I should do some more reading."

The morning dawns bright as the rains of last night are long gone. As you gather around the dining table Kendra comes down the stairs looking somewhat bedraggled, her hair out of place and dark circles underneath her puffy eyes.
As you express concern she tells you that she is fine but didn't sleep well last night "Although Father's been dead now for over two weeks events of yesterday made it all seem so final. That, combined with some bad dreams, mad for a fitful night. I'll be alright after some morning tea." She goes into the kitchen to put a pot on "Anyone else?' she asks as she head through the door.

"None for me, thanks," Cat answers, trying to sound casual. "After some discussing, we're about to head to the temple of Pharasma to see if we can learn some more about the prison your father had been investigating. Is there anything we can do to help you before we head out?"

As cat asks she checks her gear, making sure her knives are securely in their sheaths and her lock picks are handy, but out of sight, in preparation for their excursion to the temple and, hopefully, the graveyard afterward.

"I'll take some please," Kirian says as she takes a seat down at the table.

Fixed her up now and I'm looking forward for the future.

"I am fine thank you, though" Ulfric responds to the offer of tea.
