Demons revisted. I am also looking at the teamwork feats outflank ( Gain +4 bonus on attack rolls when flanking.) if anyone else is interested.
Aliseya Belododia |
Govannon is also carrying a CLW wand. Help yourself to as many charges as you need (1d8+1 each) and I'll keep track.
[dice=CLW]1d8+1
[dice=CLW]1d8+1
[dice=CLW]1d8+1
[dice=CLW]1d8+1
That puts me at 40 thanks for the cures. I will purchase a cure wand as soon as I can. Govannon you can carry it and use it on anyone who needs it.
Actually I can’t use the wand, I think only Aliseya can use it. I’m just tracking the charges of this one.
Actually, heal yourselves 1d8+5 per charge then, not 1d8+1. I have a wand too, so between the two wands we have enough charges for everyone to feel free to presume Ali automatically heals you at the soonest possibility. Just roll your 1d8+5's as needed. :)
Aliseya Belododia |
There are some really interesting feats out there, lol.
Unfortunately, being more of a usually-stay-out-of-melee character, the teamwork feats won't be of much use to me.
Btw Zelda, if wehrpig allows such a feat swap, were you aware of the dirty fighting feat instead of combat expertise? It's a lot more versatile and useful imo, and counts as an equivalent prerequisite for the same combat maneuver feats.

Just thinking out loud. We were told to find this certain guy (I forgot the name offhand) who created the Beast and was his last hope of avoiding an execution. Instead, we find trolls, goblins, and inside the actual keep, just one air elemental. One of the trolls told Ali the Whispering Way was in the keep, where we are now. And by the way that troll spoke about the Way, the trolls were more likely not affiliated with the Way.
That air elemental was probably summoned, though. But by whom? Don't know, but it must be someone or something still nearby (unless it can cast something like teleport).
So... either we missed the Way and they went on their way before we arrived, perhaps taking the Beast's one last hope with them, or... or are we missing something?
Aliseya Belododia |
I think we needed a 5th player who deals with outsiders for this last bit, lol. Between that elemental and now this. I'm awesome vs undead, but outsiders... not so much.
Maybe we can head back, Ali can raise some zombies, come back, and rush the zombie horde against the erynes to distract her while we run for it to the other side?! :D
Aliseya Belododia |
Sorry! Just have Ali keep healing whomever's near her and in most need if I'm absent for too long again.
Govannon Gittins |
I’ve been doing HP wrong I think. I’ve been taking avg+1 as per the usual PFS/PbP bit, and it sounds like that’s in error. Sorry about that! So here are my levels to this point…
HP: 8 + 5d8 + 6 + 12 + 6 ⇒ 8 + (2, 7, 3, 3, 1) + 6 + 12 + 6 = 48 (first level, next five levels, favored class bonuses, con bonuses, toughness feat bonuses)
Ouch. Just lost 9hp...
Also, are we getting the new spells and such right away, or not until after we rest? I just picked up some new spells and just need to know if I have ‘em now or later. Thanks!
+8hp (1d8 ⇒ 4 +1 favored class +2 con +1 toughness) (56)
+1 BAB (5)
+6 skills (2 + 3 Int +1 human: Fly, Knowledge Arcana, Knowledge Planes x2, Perception, Spellcraft)
+1 Feat (Level) (Weapon Versatility)
Knowledge Pool (Su): When a magus prepares his magus spells, he can decide to expend 1 or more points from his arcane pool, up to his Intelligence bonus. For each point he expends, he can treat any one spell from the magus spell list as if it were in his spellbook and can prepare that spell as normal that day. If he does not cast spells prepared in this way before the next time he prepares spells, he loses those spells. He can also cast spells added in this way using his spell recall ability, but only until he prepares spells again.
Can wear medium armor (time to buy Mithral Breastplate)
Spells (Caster Level +1 (7), Concentration +1 (10))
+2 Third Level (Haste, Dispel Magic)
+2 spells in spellbook (Haste, Dispel Magic)
Zelda Lamplighter |
HP: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
I have got to remember to use my sneak attack feats!
My character is updated to 7th level
Aliseya Belododia |
I think I should be level 7 now? Just checked the XP and I passed the 35k mark. :)
Next time...
Aliseya Belododia |
Hey Oaken, no worries. My profile contains the changes (I started, and am wrapping them up atm).
As I believe the original Oaken allowed me to take variant multiclassing in the medium class (which was not officially detailed for some reason), I opted to add the spirit powers (intermediate) ability to Ali's existing spirit ability and spirit bonus. Maybe I should actually start using that ability one of these days, lol.
Aliseya Belododia |
Govannon... grunts in his new armor (well new to him!) and, blade out, opens the door.
With Gov's 18 strength, I'm totally expecting Ali's small coat to be torn apart at the seams by the time he returns it to her, lol! Every time he flexes his muscles or merely moves his arms forward, I'm imagining we hear a little more tearing. Lol.

Too bad Naught isn't in the game anymore. I think we may have found some... distant relations?
:o
Zelda Lamplighter |
I ran into one of these before, I was a paladin and after the the session I turn 6th level and took the cure disease mercy. Umm Aleksander you appear to be missing a mercy. At 6th level you should have received your second mercy.
First I will lose my hair then my ears will grow larger then finally my body will fall off and only my head will remain. Not that my character knows any of this :)

Hey Naught! Guess you were having a family reunion all this time. ;)
Btw everyone, I'm imagining vargouille's give "wet" kisses and slime you like in Ghost Busters. Because Zelda needs more grossness added to her present situation, lol.

Btw Naught, you probably recognize that Govannon is wearing Ali's suede jacket. It's extremely tight on the muscular man, probably tearing a bit by now (at the arms in particular) with all his scimitar swinging.
:)

I haven't had a chance to read all the gameplay posts yest so I have no clue what's been going on :3
I forgot how far back you disappeared, sorry. Thought you knew about Mr. Golem.
Zelda took great notes. Check out the link in the Campaign tab for the details.
Ali and the others would probably fill you in as we proceed. Here's a super brief account for now. The Beast, or Mr. Golem as Ali prefers to call him (Gov identified it as an actual golem, and Ali doesn't like the name "the Beast") is a naive gentle giant in a big muscular and scary body. Naturally, he was accused of several heinous crimes, and imprisoned by the city court. He's regarded by the ignorant and belligerent simpletons of the city as a violent murderer of children and others.
Our investigation over three days since we last saw Naught has demonstrated Mr. Golem's innocence, but the court took offense (to put it mildly) when Ali brought in one of the four undead creatures to testify that it, and not Mr. Golem, was one of the four actual murderers. We killed the other three murderers (same kind of undead) prior to this, but captured the fourth and Ali sorta controlled it with her dark side powers to force it to confess.
And of course she dressed it up very nicely for its court appearance, disguising its wretched form as a human woman... the ruse was up when while on the stand confessing it opted to jump up and try to eat as many people it could. Kinda ruined things... but Ali would of course emphasize how fabulously transformative the dressing up part was in her retelling. :)
Anyway, at this point "the Beast" is scheduled to be burned alive today. He told us to find this Dr. C (forgot his name... Caromarc maybe?) who created him, and that he could be found at this castle (very Frankenstein-ish). So far here, we found hostile creatures including trolls, goblins, and even an erinyes devil (among others), and learned the Whispering Way is here in this castle while we're searching for this Dr C.

Lol. It was hard to like her, in fairness to us, considering she greeted us with arrows. And almost killed Gov.
Aliseya Belododia |
Very, very sorry and sad to see Gov go. :(
Even if I ran in with my clw wand last round, 48 damage would still have killed Gov anyway. I figured I'd pile on the damage instead, hoping to bring it down before another blow. Alas...
I hope you stick around with a new character. Or perhaps resurrect him?
Govannon Gittins |
Yeah, I'm not sure of my plans at this point. I don't think the party can well afford to pay for a raise dead/restoration package as we're already a bit poor.
Might bring something new in if that's an option, but I'm also a little over extended so I might take advantage of fate to pare down my gaming exposure. Let me think on it over the next day or so.
Either way, you should loot Govannon. Armor aside, he's got one or two fine items. :)
Scimitar +1, Keen
Potiion of Cure Light Wounds (1) (50gp)
Potion of Fly (5) (750gp)
Potion of Gaseous Form (5) (750)
Scroll of Glitterdust (3) (150gp) x2
Snapleaf (750gp)
Ioun Torch heightened to be cast as a 5th level spell to overcome Deeper Darkness (7th level caster) (475gp)

Thanks for the kind thoughts in the game play thread. :)
Not having the pressure to post has been nice the last few days. I think it’s the right thing to do as my gaming time has been a little overwhelming of late. I think I’ll gracefully bow out and let someone else have a chance here.
Does someone want to take over the treasure sheet? I can add someone and they can copy the sheet to their own Google Drive. Just PM me - and no rush, it’s not taking up any space to speak of.
Oaken Spirit, when you get a chance, could you please remove me from the campaign on the campaign info tab? That way I won't see the campaign in my feed, thanks.
Been a pleasure gaming with you all! Take it easy!

You and your poorly rolled cigarettes will be missed, Govannon. Best wishes!

[sarcasm]You're going to leave me along with all these women? Gee, thanks![/sarcasm]
Actually, we started out as an all-woman party. Well, except for Ulrik the half-orc paladin. Though he only played for like a day. He wisely ran away from us the moment he detected evil on Naught and I. Kidding, lol. No, he actually became our GM after the original GM went MIA before we really got started. Wehrpig originally played an elvish woman, then took over after GM #2 went MIA.
Anyway, that's your game history lesson for the day. :)

Just letting you know i will be on vacation next week. I will try to post as i am able.
Aliseya Belododia |
Apologies everyone for my particularly long absence. I was very sick and still coughing a lot at this point, and lost a lot of work last week. I'm still playing catch up with work this week (just finished working now and it's 1am, lol). I'll try my best to get caught up with the game and posting again within the next day or so. Feel free to bot me anyway as needed. Hope all are well!
