Hey guys!

So this will be the Discussion thread for the CC campaign. Get yourselves aquainted, and please make sure everyone has all their gear and point-buys set to 25. Other Character creation rules are in the Campaign info tab.

I'm interested in how this party make-up can perfom in-combat. You guys don't neccesarily have a "Tank", but I feel you have enough mystical means to make that a non-issue.

Also, I plan on implementing Hero Points. I'll post up some rules for it soon. Once I have the Ok from you guys, go ahead and post in the gameplay thread.

Alright - Stats increased from 20 to a 25 point buy (bumped Dex from 14 to 16) and starting gp increased from average to max (bought 2 extra self-made potions).

Quick question regarding Dantrian's campaign trait: Subject of Study. It would fit perfectly with his history if he could take Humanoid(shapechanger), but the player's guide specifically calls for a non-humanoid creature type. Would humanoid(shapechanger) be allowed?

Wow, I didn't realize that we are basically Team Caster. I had initially planned to focus Dantrian's mutagens on Dex to further bump his AC and to rely on ranged attacks with his bombs - with so few brawlers though I'm considering bumping my Strength to 16 instead of my Dex and having the mutagens focus on strength most of the time.

I'll get claws and a bite at level 2 while my mutagen is in effect - maybe I'll rely on them and early full attacks instead of bombs.

Plus with Maya, Dantrian can play back-up trap disarmer instead of primary like he'd been initially built toward... so, yeah, I think I'll make these adjustments and steer him to be more close-quearters fighty and less bomb-throwy.

Thoughts? Objections?

Alright! Changes made to steer Dantrian to a more pokey/stabby role than a bomby/explodey one. So, for 10 minutes a day, he can poke or smash someone/thing pretty hard now.

Once I've got an answer on the campaign trait question, Dantrian will then be all set!

Yep, that's not a problem.

And as far as team caster... yeah I know. But I think you guys will do fine. I sort of assumed Dantrian would be more on the melee side. (My bad) but either way it will work. The bombs should prove useful regardless.

That's part of what I liked about the idea behind focusing on the mutagen - I could either do melee or ranged as the party needed. I just hadn't looked at the full roster before my initial retweak and was still in the "primarily ranged" mindset from his previous submission. It's all good now though =)

You don't need to do it now, you can wait until/if you multi-class.

lol, I would hope so! But don't get too carried away, the adventure in general has some time restrictions(Most demonstrably in the 2nd book).

Now that I think about it. Guys, can I get a post of what's currently memorized by you guys for spells?

Post here in this thread for that. I'll assume the memorizations will stay the same between adventuring days until I'm notified otherwise.

I list the spells I have prepared on my profile (just above the Equipment spoiler). Currently I've prepared the cantrips Acid Splash, Mage Hand, and Prestidigitation, and first level spells Grease, Mage Armor, and Summon Monster I.

I'll move the story along tomorrow, I just want to give more people a chance to converse with each other and/or Kendra. The 5 of you will be enough to carry the coffin with no problem.

That's all right, I'm trying to get a post in a day, and I would not like to stall the game, just to keep the momentum going. Would you like me to assume Cassandra is moving along with the group? (That way I would DMNPC her in combat if needed? Or would you rather me just skip turns if neccesary?
