Daveak returns the reassuring smile with a hateful glare.
"I will relish the opportunity to tell you 'I told you so', assuming any of us survive this. Any deaths that occur will be on your head. I hope one buffoon named Carter is worth more than everyone here."
Vynlastian's smile falls. "I hope it doesn't come to that. While I fail to see how my presence would prevent anything from happening, I still wish you luck. May the Inheritor watch over you." At that, Vynlastian rides off at a quick but steady pace, making for Lepipstadt.
Daveak wanders back inside, muttering obscenities about paladins in general, and one in particular. Upon his return, he asks,
"What is our next step? This seems to be a group thing."
"Well, I will be going to the market here soon. You can do as you please. Make yourselves at home."
By the look on Dorfen's face, he seems to be a little put off by the drama.
"Would it be okay if I accompany you? I have just gotten here, and would like to take a look around... Maybe even purchase some goods myself."
"Kendra, I shall accompany you. I am here to protect you as your uncle wanted. I'll try not kill anyone as long as we are not in extreme danger."
