Skeletons 18
Helga 16+
Amisi 16
Atzi 14
Natalyah 13+
Setebo 13
Caithen 12
The bridge is 40 feet above floor level and 10 fet wide..so it is possible to hide underneath it.the doors however are 15 feet beyond the far edge of the bridge so you would be vulnerable to fire if trying to open them. You can also take cover in the alcoves
DM Wellard |
Mapping isnt my strong point especially when it needs to be photoshopped..thats Dabblers forte..just note which square you are in and I'm sure he'll come up with something
This is the first full round off combat
Skeletons 18..holding actions
Helga 16+.delaying?
Amisi 16..casting Flaming Sphere
Atzi 14..?
Natalyah 13+..
Setebo 13..?
Caithen 12..?
DM Wellard |
A javelin goes wide as Helga peers out from behind her pillar
1d100 ⇒ 32
Amisi takes cover in one of the alcoves and leans out to direct her sphere at the target..her casting draws a javelin from one of the skeletons....
1d100 ⇒ 5
...which rattles off the wall next to her
Reflex save for Skeleton 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
In return she directs the sphere onto that skeleton which fails to avoid the flames and is scorched. It is still active however.[6 damage]
Setebo |
I am assuming Setebo made it to safety under the bridge, if not he will run towards the bridge before unlimbering his hook to toss next round.
Softly whistling a snatch of a working song the shaggy and scared sailor spins the hook twice 'round his head before launching it at the ledge.
Attack bridge with grappling hook, Four range increments. 1d20 + 5 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 6 = 9. Yea hit AC 5! Good enough Mr. Wellard?
Atzi |
Atzi and Quetza, having enough of hiding, advance. Quetza gives the undead a powerful screech and Atzi focuses her attacks on the already scorched undead while taking cover behind one of the pillars. "Butn Abominations!"
Atzi Move to 08.08 and Quetza to 07.08 Granting Atzi some cover... I think! ^^; Quetza, despite being intelligent, is still an animal and I don't think he'd understand seeking 'cover' at least not until he's injured~
Produce Flame - Ranged Touch attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage? Flame Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Placing myself at 10.06 and Quetza at 9.06
Quetza stands in the open beside his companion and gives another loud hiss at the moving bag's of bones. He disliked their smell and soon would be crushing them between his teeth...
DM Wellard |
Azi throws a basll of flame up at the skeletons and hits the same one that Amiis got with the sphere.
Ok..so everyone is under cover.
Round 2
Skeletons 18
Helga 16
Atzi 14
Natalyah 13+
Setebo 13
Caithen 12
The skeletons surprise you all by simply stepping off the bridge
Skeleton 1 takes 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 3) = 14 damage and is a pile of smouldering bones
Skeleton 2 takes 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 2) = 12 damage
Skeleton 3 takes 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 2) = 9 damage
Natalyah Melethiell |
Round 2, initiative 13
ac 21, touch 14, fleet-footed 13
fort +4, ref +7, will +3
cmd 19
hp 19/28
effects: total defence
Natalyah draws her weapons and enters a defensive stance. As she waits for the skeleton to come closer she scans the chamber for anyone controlling the undead or somebody hoping that the skeletons jump will draw her out from cover..
Total defence as a standard action
Atzi |
Seeing the abominations drop down, destroying one of them in the process only fuels Atzis fury. she emerges from behind the pillar and advances towards the remaining skeletons. her hand still covered in dancing flames.
Produce Flame - Ranged Touch attack up to 120ft 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 15
Damage? Flame Damage 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
She aims for whichever one she can see the best and advances a full 15ft towards them with her companion standing just behind her so 7.09 for Quetza and 7.10 for Atzi
Setebo |
Round 2 i13-
Abandoning the rope Setebo turns as the undead crash to the ground. Confusion at this behavior turns to horror as the scattered bones pull themselves pact form.
Setebo looks at the skeletons.... He looks past them at friend Helga, Amisi, Atzi and Quetza facing the skeletons unprotected.
Something snaps.
"Lay these Bones in an unworthy Urn, Tombless, with no Remembrance over them."
Entering rage. Round 1 of 10. Not sure where I am on the map so giving 2 options.
A)If within 5' of skeleton: Full attack w/ claws: Claw 1, song, buckler: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 - 1 = 14 damage, song: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 = 11. Claw 2, song, buckler: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 - 1 = 25 damage, song: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 = 8. Setebo's AC 13.
B)If not within full attack range, Setebo will charge if able. Claw attack, song: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 = 16. Add 2 if charge is possable. Damage, song: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10. Setebo's AC 15 or 13 if the charge was made.
DM Wellard |
Atzi scores a hit on one of the skeletons which Setebo then turns into boney rubble
Boney Rubble?..wasn't he Fred Flintstones neighbour..:)
Amisi pulls her sphere off the bridge and directs it at the remaining skeleton...
Reflex Save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
However the undead snakeman is able to avoid the flames
Caithen and Rollo?
Caithan Kalson |
Caithan orders his dog to stay put. An easy feat for an animal not particularly used to the undead.
Caithan charges the remaining skeleton. His man chopping blade hewing through bone as easily as if butter.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 Attack
Damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 6) + 7 = 17
Atzi |
Atzi expends the last of her flames burning the unburned remains of the last abomination that Caithan struck down. Then she looks around, seeing what ways were open to them, searching the chamber slowly to make sure she doesn't miss anything.
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Quetza waddles up behind her and idly scatters the bones with a massive swipe of his large wingspan, then liking his row of fangs in distate continues to waddle after her...
Setebo |
Sweet then Setebo never Rages which means no fatigue! Hooray for low init!
Setebo looks confused as the Skeletons are shattered. "Why did they jump?"
The sailor pokes at the javelins but unless there is something unusual about them he leaves them where they lie. (Perhaps someone with detect magic or the appraise skill could take a gander, just in case.)
Unless it has been done Setebo checks the alcoves for anything interesting.
Recoiling his rope and grapple he asks "Should I take a look up top?"
Setebo |
"aye" Setebo tosses the grapple to the ledge (Attack bridge with grappling hook, Four range increments. 1d20 + 5 - 6 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 6 = 18 A hit a palpable hit!) and quickly climbs up. (Climb unknotted rope is DC15 taking 10 for 20 total allowing accelerated climbing, up in 2 rounds.)
Anything to see?
Rune_Master |
Helga salvages the javelins, casts a swift detect magic to see if they are anything special, and then slips them into her quiver. She also checks over the remaining bones for anything else valuable. That done, she checks the alcoves for hidden or secret doors - after all, the main doors look to much like a trap for her liking.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
If that turns up a blank, she'll scan the main door with a detect magic to see if it is magical...
Setebo |
Oops Didn't realize I was holding things up, sorry
Leaving the rope and grapnel hanging down Setebo makes his way to the right-hand-as-you-face-the-way-we-came-in door.
whew!
Setebo |
Setebo returns to the bridge and calls down.
"A long passage and a room with writing or such all over the walls. Should I come down or are you coming up?"
Setebo will either shimmy down the rope and return it to his pack or aid the others coming up as needed. I expect the Capt'n and I can haul up anyone who can't hit the DC 15 climb.
Caithan Kalson |
Looking about at the dark chambers Caithan grumbles about bloody non-humans and their bloody dark eyes and retrieves a blood everburning torch from Rollo's bags tying it on to one in order to provide some source of light.
Atzi |
@Natalyah: Well now you have! HAHA! xD
Hel Yes Atzi slow's those doors, imagine if they were open quickly we'd get too much done! Am I right! >.>; Errr... <.<; Perhaps not... *sulks off to the corner*
Whilst tripping over her own two feet and being all thumbs Atzi eventually and quite successfully trips over Natalyah. In turn slamming into Quetza who spreads his wings in an attempt to steady himself and, failing at that, crashes to the floor in a heap of skin, scales and hissing noises as Atzi knocks the wind out of her companion in her fall. REcovering from a most epic failure as a human being, Atzi bounces back with her usual big grin whilst looking all sorts of apologetic to her companions.
"Next time I will leave door opening to Setebo, or else Quetza might get hurt..." She pats her winded companion as he hissed in annoyance at her before he too slowly rises to his feet once again. Once he was standing he gave Atzi a strong hip check, nearly tumbling the weak druid to the floor again. However she managed to stay on her feet and chuckled. "I deserved that."
Looking into the anteroom she gives a low whistle and nods to Natalyah and the others. "Quetza and I can take the right if'n you all want to go left, i'm sure it circles up above to the other doors perhaps?"
So Atzi will go up the western stairs if there are no objections. :)
