Setebo |
"No." Setebo looks depressed
"I think there was another passage out of the cave these were in. We should check together." The beast man smiles, "That way I won't have to run as far."
Playing the judas goat and all is fun but you lot might be bored if I have to range too far afield looking for unfriendlies. Happy to keep doing it but I think we should move the ambush point if nothing else.
Natalyah Melethiell |
"Enough, this is pointless!" Natalyah erupts. "If we're going to do this we might as well search these dungeons and root out the evil, instead of relying on bait", she continues and points her dagger at Setebo at the end of her sentence. She seems to agree with the barbarian, but is unable to say so.
Is it possible to use Survival to track the remaining ghouls?
Setebo |
That's 3 votes to leap into the maw of death. Off we go!
Setebo leads the group back to the cave where he ran from the three deadish things. If they are not interrupted, after checking this room for anything interesting he will lead them through the first unexplored opening Odd is clockwise: 1d4 ⇒ 2. counterclockwise from the entrance.
DM Wellard |
You enter the cave to find a single lacedon entering at the same instant from the other passageway. At te same time two more emerge ferom the waters at the western end.
Dressed in rags and with a snake skull amulet hanging from her neck the, female, ghoul does not leap to the attck but halts and speaks to you in a hissing croak whilst the other move to join her.
"Ahhh...killers of my children..I salute your persistence..Come join me in life eternal.Offer yourselves to my teeth and you can suffer the extacsies of the fever and then the joy of the hunger.Join me..or be food"
Setebo |
Setebo looks to OLOB, Atzi and Amisi. This woman killed their captain and must have worked with the snake lady. They are the most aggrieved and should speak first.
Atzi |
Has it been more then two minutes DM Wellard? If so my produce flame has gone out. :)
Atzi doesn't wait, she had chosen the moment she had seen the first of these creatures and without hesitation she slapped her hands together. With all eyes on her she stared back at the obscene abomination before her and started something forth the strongest of her cleansing spells. Her voice rose high, outraged at the things that stood before her, these affronts to the natural order. It's more then obvious from her voice what she intended to do next. "Choose! I've chosen to watch you BURN!" The air around Atzi began to visibly cool and a light started to appear between her hands as she summoned forth her strongest spell.

Atzi |
Round 1
Miss 1d100 ⇒ 5
Atzi gives a coarse oath as the ball of fire appears from between her hands and rolls off into the darkness at where she last saw the hag and its foul children.
SA: Cast: Flaming Sphere
Move Action: Move at Last known location of hag, Missed.
FA: Five foot step backwards.
She stepped back, one hand held before her and twisting and turning as the flaming sphere tried to tear free of her control. Such a powerful flame had a mind of its own and if she wasn't careful it could strike her allies rather then her foes.
Setebo |
Round 2?
Plunged into darkness and hearing the telltale crackling of at least two rolling balls of fire Setebo considers the better part of valor and backs up until he is clear of the unnatural dark.

"Amisi, i need light!" Natalyah calls out as she is blinded by the magical darkness conjoured by the ghoulish hag. She streaks her dagger in the air in front of her and around her to sense any attacks made against her as she quickly backs away trying to get out of the darkness.
Total defense as a standard action
Move action to move back (hopefully) out of the darkness, provoking an attack of opportunity i guess.
Is trying to locate creatures in the dark by listening a standard action? If not i would like to do so, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21[/ooc]
Setebo |
Will save, song: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22

"If that is the best you can do you will go hungry today!" Setebo's voice seems more guttural that usual.

Why is it next to impossible to confirm a crit? :)
Atzi |
Will Save - Pass! Barely... 2.5 damage aka 3~ :) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
As the wave of dark energy passes over her Atzi tries not to sick up from the terrible feeling, as if something filthy had touced her very soul. Before she knew it though she was focusing on trying to control the ball of flame that was tearing free of her control. As she wrestled it back under her control she focused on finding the abomination's hiding in the darkness...

Setebo smiles as the wave of dark energy passes.
"I am still here hag. I will always be here."
While he speaks Setebo gestures for the others to move back while signaling for the Captain (and OLOB if he can see her) to remain.
Atzi |
Will Save - PASS! 2 Damage since we always round half damage up right? 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
When the dark energy waved out and over her Atzi resisted it stoically, seeming to be almost unphased as she roared at the dark cloud before her. "Is that all you can do abomination?! Slither back in your hole and rot!"
