Natara holds her actions until someone closes the door so the impostor cannot duck back out, then issues her challenge to him.
Sir Alfric strides over to the door, shuts it and leans against it, looking at the impostor with curiosity.

Startled at being grappled (and by a nonhumanoid!), Sir Alfric swings the throwing axe he had in hand (by the flat for nonlethal damage).

Radko uses the advantage of facing the creature's back side, and strikes it with the flat side of his axe.
The imposter yells out
"I killed the real one, So now I am waltus"

Mai attempts to tumble pass the imposter and Sir Alfric and
does so, cutting off his retreat. (Now at I-9)

and the imposter is out like a light.
Natara watches it drop.
I hope he..it..was lying. Let's bind it if it still lives and search this place thoroughly.
Perception checks please?
Perception:

"I believe I hear someone upstairs."
Shalelu Andosana:
"I hear it too, and it sounds like a halfling."
Sir Alfric trusses the impostor thoroughly.
Survival:
"He'll NEVER get out of those bonds!"
Perception:
"I think I hear something as well. Let's check it out!"
Natara will head into the main room and start towards the stairs.
Mai whispers
"Let's do so cautiously, as we don't know who or what it really is."
She quietly move to and up the stairs.
Throwing axe in hand, Sir Alfric moves to the stairs, then slowly up them.
You all hear from upstairs in a nervous sounding voice
"Who's down there, by the stairs."
Natara looks at Mai and whispers "Do you think that might be the real one? Would you recognize him?"
She will follow Mai's lead, waiting for Mai to start up the stairs.
"Under the circumstances, though, we should be cautious."
Sir Alfric glances at Mai and raises an eyebrow.
Mai reads Sir Alfric's glance
silently sighs and gives the Ok hand sign.
she speaks aloud
"Are you Walthus Proudstump?"
Walthus:
speaking and sobbing at the same time.
"Oh, thank goodness."
Natara watches Mai for a clue as to whether she thinks this one is the real one, remaining cautious. Natara will step back to H-8 and observe the stairs.
Natara listens to the voice cautiously and trys to read it, vowing to herself to work harder on that skill...
Mai, Sir alfric, and Natara you see a halfling exit a room upstairs and approaching to stairs.
Natara remains cautious, watching the halfling approach. She tries to observe any features about the new being that might confirm his (or its) identity. If the locals can confirm this is Walthus, she will accept it but still remain cautious.
"Is this truly Walthus Proudstump?"
He -seems- OK.
Walthus Proudstump:
"Oh, Thank you for saving me..."
a short pause
"...and my snakes."
Shalelu Andosana:
"Yep, that's the real Walthus."
Natara lowers her crossbow and relaxes.
"What happened here? What IS that thing?"
Shalelu Andosana:
"I think it's a faceless stalker runt."
a little puzzled and curious she asks
"What's a faceless stalker one-sama?"
Shalelu Andosana:
"It a shape changing aberration, that kills the person they want to become and keeps up the charade until discovered, then it'll take someone's identity again."
"We are certainly glad to be of ... snakes?"
"A runt? So that one was small for it's kind?"
She glances back at the kitchen door and grins.
"Well, if it can't size change and we go back in there to see a large and a small Radko fighting, at least it will be easy to tell which is which!"
Mai is holding back her laughter at hearing Natara's comment on a small and large Radko fighting each other.
"Hey, who knows, maybe I'll convince him that he's better off as my little brother.", Radko jests as he follows the rest upstairs.
I'm glad to see you alive and well, Mr. Proudstump. However we haven't seen any snakes yet, would you be so kind and check if they still are at their designated places?
in a whiney voice
"Oh my poor snakes, I hope he didn't hurt or kill any more of my precious snakes."
"I think we did see one of your snakes when we were in the kitchen. It was hiding in a pot and escaped out a hole after the faceless -thingie- dropped the pot. We'll help you check on your pets. I think we should stay together...in case there are more of those things."
