The gremlin somehow avoids almost everyone's attacks, with a gleeful grin on its face. Rosa's bolt strikes it directly, but it does not seem nearly as effective as it normally would.

With his previous attacks not quite connecting Vezron reigns in the power of his blow to go for a more accurate shot. Flanking with the others he goes in for the gremlin's blind side.

Jolkum and Rosa manage to hit the gremlin, but their attacks seemingly have no effect. Vezron, however, manages to connect quite strongly. Its smile dissapears, and it tosses something into its mouth and swallows, rapidly fading from view.
Everyone is up, it provokes AoOs with no concealment.

Vezron sees the little gremlin slip something into its mouth, providing an opening to attack. Seeing it start to disappear he quickly lashes out with a strong attack to try and finish it off.

Vezron slays the creature, and it becomes visible again.
Combat over
While its blades are little more than jagged needles, it carries a few items of interest: two small vials with liquid inside, and a metal box small enough to fit in a hand, clearly of Androffan make becuase of the logo and serial number on the side. Some sort of trigger mechanism is in the other side.
Rosa also recognizes the distinctive glint of plastic in the heap of trash, she finds 6 plastic cards, each with a set of brown bars on one side. 3 cards have names and picutres of human faces, while one has a name and a much stranger face, paler and with an elongated head. The other two have "Extra" in Androffan.

She holds the cards and taking a small lens out of a pouch looks over them.
"These are access cards, names and images of who they where given to on them. On the star craft they used to open doors. They are brown access only, it was the lowest level of access. They where typically carried by guests aboard the ship."
She slips one into her belt pouch and hands the rest to the others.
"Take one each, they will open some doors for you"

"No magic, there is a *embedded electromagnet resinace coil* in the card, which as a *pattan code* reflecting its *security rating*, when you place it in the door slot, if the door has power it will use an *electromagnet* to read the Coil and so grant access."
Or that was what she wanted to say, what the other who did not know Androffan heard was.

She stops,
"I am sorry your primitive language dose not have the word sounds for some of the means by which the cards work. So magic as you say"

"It's close enough. Runs on the same weird theories that brought us skymetal and whatnot. If the words are only available that crazy moonspeak, just say them in crazy moonspeak. We'll add it to the vernacular eventually. Like, what is an electromagnetic resonance coil"--here mimicking the Androffan words even if she doesn't properly understand their meaning--"in closest Taldan terms? What's it look like? And how's the fire starter make fire?"
A pause.
"Also who wants it? Fire is pretty darn cool."

Vezron pockets the key card. He had read about them but Rosa's description of them made more sense than what was in the books. It makes much more sense that these run based off of electromagnetism than magic.
He waits patiently while the others finish their business with the cave dwellers

Looking into the bag, it appears to have somewhere between 100 and 200 gp.
"We haven't gone far into the circle-door, as it is very dangerous. She gestures to the circular opening in the metal wall. "There are creatures of metal and cretures of bone, all with extra arms or legs. The walls are all metal, and there are many strange devices.
There was a woman with purple hair and many followers, they went through a door near the gremlins and it shut behind them. Then there were two more groups who were mostly humans."
