Unluckily for Dibbs, the sudden wrench of the boat catches him unawares and he heads deckwards. Luckily, he doesn't have far to fall. Grumbling as he stands up he gets moving across to where the Captain went over... but his legs are short and he's a ways to go yet.

Stand and move to E,6

Dibbets sets himself aright and drifts starboard to check on the captain. Meanwhile, the Groom manages to keep his feet under him and reach the fo'c'sle below one of the fallen mutineers. Fortunately, the Groom doesn't have to reach far to put his blade in the traitor's throat.

Kaul pulls himself up and over the edge of the fo'c'sle and stepping around Jim, puts the inflamed sailor out of his misery. A moment later, the final mutineer falls to the clubs of the remaining loyal crewmen.

The overboard captain and swab try to swim around to the bow avoiding the crush of the fringing reef against the starboard hull, however the swab disappears with a yelp leaving only the captain calling for help. The Angelina continues to rock against the coral splintering the hull as two humanoid shapes spring over the side of the listing ship. They appear to be made of rock itself and festooned with coral and barnacles. Staghorn coral grows from their heads and winglike growths of table coral spread from their backs.

With a stoic look on his face Dibbs replies "On it" fumbling in his bag for a thick and rough cloak. Fastening it around his neck he plunges unceremoniously off the side of the boat and into the sea...

Double move South and off the side of the boat - I,6

Cap'n:
The combination of the saltwater and the cloak of skate skin enacts a change to the filthy midget's form. The cloak wraps tight to his skin and his arms flatten and lengthen into great leathery wings. His legs fuse before thinning and lengthening into a barbed tail. Jim and the Groom close on one of the strange creatures. the Groom isn't sure if a monster made of rock and coral falls under Besmara's control, but he can see that his mundane blade will be of little use as it bounces off the rocky hide. Jim's enchanted blade proves more effective as the enchanted steel hacks through stone and coral.

Dingus coats the area around the other coral devil with grease, but it manages to keep its balance in the life boat. Dingus doesn't see anyone physically rowing the escaping rental boat, but the round shadowy form of a ray suddenly slips under it.

The beast in the butter boat keeps its footing and making a grating sound that must be a laugh punches a hole in the life boat. About 50 feet off starboard, the stingray suddenly grabs an oar. Jim's trusty sword cuts through the rock as if it were flesh and the creature bares its calcareous fangs and vents on the navy veteran: clawing, biting, and ramming its razor sharp horns into the man until he falls before the onslaught. Jim- hits all around, 21 hp damage

Against Kaul's heavy axe, regular rock and coral would crumble, but it's safe to say, these beasts are not natural. The boarding axe is turned aside without a chip appearing on the coral creatures hide. It retaliates with a claw and an array of jagged coral horns. Kaul-8 hp, slash and pierce.

Dingus floats safely overhead as he considers his next move. The crew of the Angelina heave the captain from the water, but not before he receives a slash from a claw that matches the dark rocks ravaging the ship's starboard hull.

With the captain saved, the Angelina's four remaining crew move to assist Kaul in repelling the crusty boarder though half slip on the way. The pair of nervously puffing flumphs join Dingus floating above the sinking ship.

Kaul does his best to fend off the lone reef devil while the ship slides further down the rocks tilting alarmingly. The creature manages to keep on its feet at the cost of a clumsy assault on its foe which leaves no wound.

The ship's captain charges the beast with bloody vengeance in his eyes, but doesn't spot the grease slick until it is too late and he slides into the thing's feet.
