To be honest I'm undecided - usually there are some provisos and quid pro quos as to the choice anyways... so I'll wait till it's funded first, and then till they give a steer.

Sooo we're coming up on the two year running thread anniversary, and as you might recall we came up with a nice little keepsake for Mr Voodoo to roll us to our deaths with. Link to that post
Which reminds me that Happy Birthdays are in order for many soon.
As it so happens the same man that came up with the kickstarter for the wooden d6 dice is launching himself a new one within the next couple of days for polyhedral sets, metal dice and a bunch of other knick-knacks and what not. Here is his Facebook page. if you have a scroll down a ways on that page you'll see one set that is currently flying through the air on it's way to meself (a Lignum Vitae set in a Bocote box).
So, the point of the digression is thus... to celebrate the occasion of our imminent second gaming anniversary I want to buy y'all a couple of dice. Nothing fancy... but a nice keepsake to remember a demented vomit soaked inebriated halfling by... wait, that could have come out better...
What I'm thinking is that I buy a polyset in a wood that we collaboratively think best reflects our little game here - and after it gets delivered we divvy up the spoils amongst us (as in I take delivery then post individual dice from that 10 dice polyset on).
Alternatively we can see what woods he launches with and y'all can pick a d20 apiece in a wood / metal of your choice and I'll get em sent on.
Either way just my little way of saying thanks to a motley but true crew.
There is quite a long list of wood types available for the dice on the page - and he'll be putting up pictures in the first update so we can have a look at the actual appearance / grain pattern of the woods themselves soon.
My thoughts are towards perhaps something actually used in ship construction - like white oak or lignum vitae or african mahogany. Or alternatively something with a muddled grain pattern like lacewood or marblewood.
Alternatively could go for a random wood d20 or chosen metal d20 each... though that loses the esoteric appeal of having each of the dice cut from a single length of wood that is then passed out to all providing that intangible connectiveness.
Also - there is a choice of a 10 dice polyset - or a 10 x d10 set. Thoughts?
yeah, speaking of my 5 sixers... i've gotta get a 5d6 fireball in here somehow... the Grackle was about to start lighting you up until Dibbs interfered :(
That lignum vitae is awfully purty. well, the cap'n's not one to turn down free booty, but if it's a split set, who's taking the unforgivably awkward d4 or d12 ? ; )
I was thinking that Kaul would be a perfect fit for the d12... because he wishes that he had one for his hit dice
Given that I've already got some other dice so I'd be happy to end up with whatever other peoples don't want.

d12 works for me. Lignum vitae looks perfect, although I may have to invest in some Irish Bog Oak just because...
d4 would fit Dibbs surely... Annoying to handle... tendency to fall onto the floor...

Thank you kindly, Master Dibbets. I can't tell from the pix on the Kickstarter how big the individual dice are; any idea? I see he's done as well with this one as the last--currently over 3x his initial goal, three days into the Kickstarter. (Bet Chris Pramas wishes he could have backer support like that.)
Either type of set would be fine. I can't see the woods yet; will comment further when I do.
The dice are about 20mm from side to side, so on scale with normal dice. I've actually a set of Lignum in the air to me at present so can photo when they arrive.
And yeah, he's doing pretty good so far :)

Yep. Jim wouldn't be that worried about waking up Kaul; he's got a 70% chance of a successful disarm, if it comes to that :-).

Ahoy, Mates! Nearing two years of continual play and I'd just like to say once again how much I enjoy reading your posts and sharing this rambling yet always entertaining journey.
I'm starting a much needed spring break tomorrow and probably heading out for several days in the Gila Wilderness. I have to be back Thurs for a dental appt :( but i'll be in molasses mode for the rest of the month.
