So it looks like we're going to:

1) & 2) Gather Information: one attempt each by the Fushi sisters and Turl's performers, to get information about the tiefling murders and what's going on with the Red Jills. Each of these is a DC 15 Secrecy check; Turl's performers get a +2, and do the Fushi sisters have an "effective Tier" for this sort of check?

The Fushi sisters investigating the murders, if there's a bonus for their check, GM, go ahead and add that in.
Secrecy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Turl's performers investigating the Red Jills.
Secrecy: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16

3) Recruit Supporters: Ouch, this is where that change to themin treasury value's formula starts to sting. To do this knocks 40 gold out of our treasury. We're going to have to start earning some scratch soon, folks. The check for this is a DC 12 Loyalty check, and the Sentinel's bonus doesn't seem to apply here (only during the Event phase of the turn, not the Activity phase).

Loyalty: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Did I do all of that correctly?

I apologize for the lack of updates. Everything you've posted looks right, but I have to run the numbers and do the behind-the-scenes stuff. Right now it's very difficult for me because my computer is still down. I've determined the problem is a bad HDD and a replacement is en route. Hopefully I'll be up and running later this week.

Well, not as well as I'd hoped but it's functional again. My old hard drive was too damaged to copy from so I had to install Windows from scratch. Work is busy as always so I just now got Herolab reinstalled and working again so that I can access my files.

Fortunately, I backed up all my herolab files, and my essential pathfinder PDFs, to Google Drive. I'll be able to start making posts again, starting tomorrow.

Well, I guess it wasn't as fixed as I'd hoped, but things are good now.

Yeesh, where to begin? I've lost track of the narrative.

OK. Let's assume everyone gets where they're going. I don't want to do any more random encounters, the last ones were fun but too many will slow things down too much. The mercs all go to either the Nest or a nearby inn, whichever you guys prefer. Once you recruit them, they'll move into the Nest full time.

The Recruit Supporters action succeeds, gaining 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8 new supporters. If your supporters don't decrease by too much next week, you'll probably go up a rank again.

I'll report the results of the Gather Information checks in the gameplay thread at an opportune time.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm down to two choices: Bluff or Disguise. Since I've yet to invest any ranks into Disguise, I'd get a +4 boost as opposed to a +1 tick up for Bluff, so I'm leaning toward Disguise. I probably should drop a rank into Escape Artist soon, too, before I really need that +4 boost.

In your shoes, I think Disguise is the better bet for exactly that reason. It's also the reason I'm strongly considering Escape Artist, but with me still rocking that 8 Cha, I also have to stay on top of those other skills.

I almost selected an owl as a familiar since there is a particular owl that I like that is just overflowing with personality. But I did have a conjurer character before that used that owl so I thought I should try a hawk.

I see above that the RL dates for everything are displayed, but do we know the Golarion date we're on?

Just a reminder to Leora about the bonuses reading the Kintargo Blue Book can bring. (Jessi's planning on mixing a little business in with her pleasure to listen for rumors.)

Kintargo Blue Book:

Blue Book: This book details the seedier entertainment establishments in one major city. It contains the names of brothels, burlesque houses, and gambling halls in that city. By consulting the book for 1 hour, for the next 24 hours you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Knowledge (local), Bluff, and Diplomacy checks to gather or use information in that city. At the GM's discretion, you can use it in settlements near that city for a +1 bonus.

@Nicolae: I can't give you an exact date, but our GM used the 'Golarionized' version of the PbP's start date as the first day of the campaign; thus the Aria Park Protest took place on Abadius 24. We spent 2-3 days (I believe) exploring the Fair Fortune Livery and cleaning out the Nest. Then we set up the Silver Ravens and started with the organization's weekly actions. Though it hasn't been recorded yet (and I'm scared of spreadsheets, so I ain't touching it!), I'm 99% certain we're on Week 3 there. So Abadius 24 + 3 days + 3 weeks equals...mid-to-late Calistril.

I believe there's a similar question back upthread if you really want to check.

For the secret page, I think we have three options. Which do you guys want to try?

One is get a scroll of true seeing and then Leora, Jessi, or Tinker can use it along with comprehend languages. Leora is probably the best choice since she can prep comprehend languages and I don't think Jessi or Tinker has it. But true seeing is a 6th level spell, so it will be hard to get a scroll.

Two is to try dispel magic. Since it's only a level 3 spell, it would be easier to find a scroll. But, do we have any chance of beating the caster level check to actually dispel the secret page spell?

Three, as the GM mentioned, we can have Zacharin do option 1 or 2 for us.

If any of you own Ultimate Intrigue, I'm gonna ask you to turn to p.236 and read about efreeti cord (I only just caught this one today).

I'm not saying Dukkan will be itching to use a good 30-foot roll of that stuff on something, but... okay, I don't know how to finish that sentence.

Leora, you're the only other one here that uses medium/heavy armor, right? Do you want that MW chainmail from the Salt Works? Might need Jessi to prestidigitate it to get little bits of Kossrani out of it, but after that it should be very helpful. :)

Dom - great idea, thanks for the reminder on the chain mail armor. I wouldn't mind using it, unless you want it. In character, Leora wouldn't be thrilled about wearing Kossrani's armor, but you're right, she and Jessi can clean it out first.

The efreeti cord looks fun!

The way I see it, Leora, that composite longbow is a pretty nice consolation prize. :-) And of the two items, you and I are the only ones that can use the chainmail, but I'm the only one that would have any interest in a longbow.

Random thought that I'd better put down in writing before I forget it....

When we visit Redroof for the Red Jills/Tiefling Murders side plots, why not bring along the secret page document, revisit that infernal temple and sludge pit (which Jessi apparently thought was a swimming pool last time), and try reading stuff aloud to try to find the password? Maybe we could even kill a couple more grimples and get covered with puke, just for the fun of it!

We found the documents in that building: maybe the password's there, too.

I think Jessi's been concentrating on things other than the invisible saboteur lately, but she's got a half-baked plan for possibly dealing with the threat (she's got a half-baked plan for everything!).

Before entering the Nest underground, Jessi could cast message on two Ravens (Dom & Kiri, maybe?) and then detect magic. Since Jessi cast elsewhere, hopefully the invisible whatever wouldn't realize what spells she's got active. The trio would then enter the Nest nonchalantly, with Jessi scanning for magic auras. Once she found one and pinpointed it, she could message-whisper the location to Kiri and Dom. They ought to be able to get in a surprise round attack and maybe a second if they win initiative.

Of course, if we fail to kill whatever, we'll likely piss it off royally.

Just a thought for consideration.

Well, there's not a clear indication that a creature under the effects of invisibility would radiate a magic aura. I would tend to say that a 2nd level spell isn't something that can be beaten by a cantrip. I've looked at various threads and there's no clear consensus on the matter. I'm willing to discuss the matter though.

The best evidence I could come up with that detect magic semi-works is this one-sentence paragraph under Invisibilty in the Special Abilities appendix (CRB/564): Invisibility does not thwart divination spells.

Haven't gotten an official ruling yet from the GM, but I've since done some more thinking and realize that Nicolae might be a better fit in the plan than Jessi (or, since Tinker can also cast both detect magic and message, he could bring two more people into the hunting party).

Leora & Davina: Got any decent area-of effect spells or concoctions that might help against an invisible foe?

I hadn't read that line before. Alright, detect magic, and other detection spells like detect [alignment] can be used for such purposes. Of course, it takes 3 rounds of concentration before you can pinpoint the location of an aura.

Unfortunately, no level 1 AOE spells. These few might be useful.

Detect Evil/ Chaos - might be able to let Leora "see" where the creature is, assuming we guess the correct alignment. I would go with chaos or evil.

Know The Enemy - Rules are kind of vague - not sure if we can use this since we don't actually know what the creature is, and Leora doesn't have great knowledge skills as it is.

Command, Forbid Action - only lasts one round, and the target is "one living creature." Leora would have to be able to see or touch the critter, so we would have to catch it first per the targeting rules in the Magic section of the core rule book. And now that I think it through, if we catch it anyway, we might as well just attack it normally...

There is a level 1 spell called Invisibility Alarm but it only detects when a creature comes or goes... I don't think it would help if it just stays in here.

I still think bringing in a dog or something with scent is a good bet since they will be able to detect the presence of something and could help us zero in on it.

Are we just on the next day after Tinker came to the Nest? Or have we moved through another day? I want to keep him crafting as often as it makes sense. Does that tampered with wall need repairing? He's not trained in masonwork, but with crafter's fortune he could probably make a decent attempt.

I believe we're on the fourth day after the raid on the salt works:

Day 1: Everyone returns to the Nest.
Day 2: Jessi & Leora's Night Out
Day 3: This night, the Fushis bring in Lucius (an ex-PC) for healing.
Day 4: Current day?

No idea what if anything we're doing about the wall/ceiling.

I'll throw it out there that we should probably deal with the invisible problem on the homefront before rushing off to Redroof to save the world.

The in-game date is, unless I've missed a day in the course of events, Oathday, 11 Calistril, 4716 AR. We're on two days after Tinker arrives at the Nest, and we're on the evening of that day.

Craft(Masonry) checks can be made to repair the wall.

To Jessi's point about clearing out the nest, Leora will prep detect evil in case the invisible critter shows up again the next night. At least we might be able to find out where it is...

If I can write See Alignment into my Formula book, I can choose an alignment to see. It would only be good for two rounds though each time I use it. I can prepare two extracts a day so that would be four rounds. That assumes we can find a scroll, a wizard's book or alchemist formula book I can copy it from, and I don't botch the copy roll.

While we are talking about spells, Tinker, we have several scrolls we collected that you might be interested in - misdirection, pass without trace, undetectable alignment, whispering wind. Dunno if any are wizard spells but you are welcome to them if you want them. (there is a link to all the loot in my "signature" line)

We also have some other misc. loot we picked up at the salt works, and about 600gp, if anyone wants we can sell it and disperse it amongst the group to spend, or we can save til we have a bit more.

GM, I believe our consensus is to prep some spells to get ready for the invisible thing. Based on the timeline Jessi posted above, Kiri attacked it first on night two. So now we are on day 3, took care of Lucius as best we could in the short term, and are waiting up for the invisible creature on night 3.
