Cilda |
Georgette sniffs and wipes her nose on a cloth that she pulls out of her sleeve. "OH thank you so much Wilnan. I'm so grateful you agreed to come with us. We must hurry though for I fear my life is in danger."
She turns to Cilda,"Thank-you again for accompanying me out her I am forever grateful."Georgette hands Cilda 5 GP for her trouble,"This is for your trouble."
Cilda takes the money. "Yeah, you are in no shape to be by yourself, Lydia. And since I don't even know this guy here, I'll just stay and make sure the job is finished, if that's alright."
The first moment she gets when Wilnan isn't looking, she whispers to Georgette, "You realize you aren't getting that five gold back, right?"
Uldumastie Blagrim |
Can you get a riding dog or something that allows you to move at the same speed the rest of us do? Just a suggestion.
Not without some additional funds. I was decked out for the goblin war. Didn't count on running around town at top speed.
Unwilling to expose her incredulity at the others' story, Uldu makes it out to the town just in time to hear Sinque call for the guards.
"Now what is the trouble?"

"Yes I realize that." Georgette replies while still sniffling as they walk.
Connor McGinnis |
The two wind through the few streets leading to the fallen soldiers. With Leofalcon knowing his way around better than anyone, the two arrive in record time.
The captain of the guard kneels at the bodies after briefly nodding to the other heroes present.
"How did this happen?", Cater asks over his shoulder.
Connor McGinnis |
They are just coming back now, Wilnan in the lead.
"I'm running sorely low on soldiers, friend, and i'm not about to go as low as raffles or press-gangs. For now just see what you can do to find the identity of the killer.", the man says before standing up again and turning back to Sinque.
"I'll see if I can form a sort of militia unit. Even a rag-tag force as such is better than no defenses at all. I'll get two of my men to clean up this mess, and another four to guard the gate. That's nearly all my men"
Georgette Theadoux |
"Well now that I'm back I want out of this bloody dress and back into something a bit more comfy. Did you boys find anything on the roof or do I need to go look?" Georgette asks. "Wilnan I sort of feel bad for lying to you just to get you to come into town. I'm Georgette and I saw a cloaked figure run off after murdering your brother. I'm sorry."
Caeradan |
To Arroway, Caeradan says,"My condolences, sir."
To the others, "Is any of you skilled at following tracks? Ozymandious was able to follow marks on the rooftops to here, but someone with more skill might be able to see where they went."
Ozymandious will continue to circle overhead, looking for any signs of the fleeing murderer: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28.
Caeradan will search the ground for tracks (who knows, he might get lucky). Perception:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8, Survival:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Yeah, not so much. :)
Cilda |
Tracks? Time for the wilderness girl to shine
"If you guys found some tracks, I think I can give it a try. It'll be different from doing it through a forest, but shouldn't be too hard. Up on the roof, right?"
Climb check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Oh, please let that be high enough. Please, PLEASE let it be high enough. If so...
Cilda makes her way to the tracks and peers down to try and examine them.
Let's do Perception and Survival up in here!
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Survival 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Connor McGinnis |
"What's there to ask?", Wilnan says flatly, "My brother was an idiot."
If one of you has a rope and makes a check to throw it then it might be enough for Cilda to climb up. If not, she'll make no progress and take no damage..
Ozzy spots very faint footprints in the soft ground heading North East.
All the other checks could not do anything at this time.
Sinque |
"Idiot he might have been, but we still need to know a few things. My first question is do you know why he was in this district of the town? Second question, do you know if he had any major enemies? Finally, do you have any enemies that may want to harm your families?"
Diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Georgette Theadoux |
Georgette come back and is dressed in a set of studded leather that is the color of doe skin. Her hair is braided back and tied off. She is carrying her long bow on her back with a rapier and dagger on her left him. In her right hand she has a rope with a grappling hook attacked. "Here Cilda. Let's go see what we can find. I'll follow you on the ground."
Cilda |
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
"OH COME ON! Cilda shouts. She angrily throws the rope up at the roof again.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
"Finally," she mutters, and slowly begins to climb the rope.
Can I use the previous rolls for climbing/survival/perception, or do I have to reroll those?
Connor McGinnis |
Sorry for the delay guys! I set the posting bar at about the right height for over the summer, but now that school's started up, i've been really busy and just haven't had time to check on the campaign. So thanks for your patience and sorry for my tardiness!
I don't want to say you can post once a week, because that leaves too much hangtime if we want to eventually move on, but I can assure you I will not be able to check in once a day. Somewhere in between the two would be wonderful.
Georgette can clearly see Cilda, but doesn't spot anything unusual from where she is.
Leofalcon heads back to the guardhouse (not the tavern he originally came from) after a quick nod of the head to you all.
