the arrows were aimed at the Ranger's horse I'm pretty sure. I'm a little confused on this Ranger tho... does he have an Aldori Dueling Sword or does he have a short sword and kukri? or did he change weapons in mid-charge?
Sturk will throw out an intimidate and then wade into the Thugs.
"Stand down miscreants! Your 'Leader' has abandoned you to run like a dog" intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
And then attempt to flank any thugs still standing as needed to cause as much carnage and destruction as possible...
Yeah, those arrows were aimed at the new guy's horse. Didn't mean to incite a riot, but I still can't figure what's going on yet. My intention was to unhorse Grima's pursuer and get some straight answers...let's see how bad this backfires.
Confused at the recent turn of events, Daven blinks as he watches the Ranger gallop off after Grima. "If you say so mate," he replies to Sturk dazedly. He looses two more arrows into the thick of Grima's thugs.
Guarantee I wasted my 'good' rolls on that damn horse!

"The side of the common Folk friend Elf. Can we get a rousing 'Lay low the bandit rabble' tune to swing my axe to? Or if you have any magic tricks up your sleeves to even this fight? "
Sturk: The Ranger changed mainhand weapons in mid-charge.
Daven drops one thug brandishing a club. Another cries out in pain, and arrow through his upper arm. Sturk readies himself to fight the goons, who are now running around in a mad frenzy. They seem to be torn between reforming their ranks, rescuing their leader, and making sure the five adventurers don't try to run. Darien follows him. Theriandas settles himself just behind the tree line with his crossbow.
Come to think of it, we haven't heard anything from Festric in a while.

Anyone that looks like he's giving commands or rousing the bandits to order is target 1.
"Maintain the confusion gents, take out any leaders", Sturk follows his own advice and scans for any pockets of order to crash into or direct Daven into firing at if they are further away...
We could definitely use all our bodies on this one... Has the Ranger decapitated Grima yet or have they fled the clearing entirely.
Any hapless bandit that gets close enough, I will AOO. As many as possible by putting myself in the path.
The Ranger and Grima are both well out of the clearing by now. It looks as though two groups of bandits have formed: one at the other side of it (seven men), and one to the North (five men). The others (six men) ran after the horseman and their leader. Six men lay dead, necks and chests slashed open by the Ranger's deadly dual blades.

There are 22 "associates" around the outskirts of the clearing if you took the time to count them all. Several are armed with clubs and light crossbows, while others carry shortbows and knives. A certain few, seemingly the higher caste, also has shortswords dangling from their cheap belts.
With the 6 done by the ranger and the two done by myself and Daven (with another seriously injured) shouldn't there be 2 more corpses?
At any rate... regardless of body count, Sturk will head towards the larger group and ask for Daven's arrows to proceed him as he goes. Theri's crossbow and Festric's sorcery would be a welcome addition. Darien, are you with me with that morning star? I'll use Combat Expertise to up my AC a bit so -1 to hit for +1 AC
If we can kill this group fast enough it should demoralize the other pocket?
Daven has Precise Shot so I can definitely keep on shooting. I'm right behind you Sturk.
Daven watches his first two arrows hit their respective marks and curses at the shot that didn't result in a kill. In half a heartbeat, two more arrows are in flight.
P.S. - I am cool with waiting until everyone is on the same page before we get into round by round combat. Are we going to roll initiative and the whole nine? Or are you going to give us a chance to whipe these goons out before they can regain some semblance of order?
And WOW! THERE are those sh!tty rolls I was expecting.
Sturk: Sorry. Forgot to list the two you guys killed. The groups would have six and five men then.
Both of Daven's arrows proceed past their intended targets and into the woods.
The leader of the six man group saw the crossbow bolt at the last minute and swatted it aside with his shortsword. It almost hit him though.
The bandit's ranks have almost reformed by now. We're ready to roll initiative.
How far away are they? Do we have the time to do a round or two of ranged?
If they are too far to charge, then hold action til they move then throw a dagger (fighting defensively) at the one that Daven injured before 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

If the dagger atack goes off that's a crit... to confirm1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 and additional damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
do you do exploding crits?
Daven uses his detect evil spell like ability on the thugs.
Initiative - 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Will wait to see what everyone else is doing before I act again. @Connor- that detect spell was to find out whether or not I can smite these baddies.
Theriandas starts singing, hoping to aid his companions, and at the same time, moves into melee range - Inspire Courage, so +1 to everyone's attack and damage rolls from now on
