Adventurers is a good cover. It means others are likely to tell us what they know about the horn and we can drop misinformation. I was originally thinking nobles, but we don't know enough about the current political situation in the rest of the country to really pull that off.

I've run into some real family issues here as of late. My stepmother is on her deathbed and my nephew is moving in with me (as opposed to going homeless). So now I am thinking of one named Yan'Dere who seeks out those who seek to stop her love, Sempai Asmodeus by stalking and killing them. By day she an innocent student, by night..YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!

I need to know the preparations for invaders.
Remember they are seeking a ‘wicked’ dungeon in the woods, so a ‘damsel in distress’ bluff might not work.

I suggest having Nahia or Cecelia charming him off somewhere in town so he can be ambushed.

Plus spreading a rumor of something particularly valuable as bait so we can ambush again. Maybe something about the Boggards having a rich haul from a raid(Place beyond mud pit and let mud men attack)

So people up for moving on? We certainly should have the rumor spread about the treasure sow e can ambush. Maybe Nahia can have her witchy friend seduce the womanizer.

Well, things are somewhat strange those past weeks.

GM is Dying with university stuff
Nahia is M.I.A
Mysty is Busy/M.I.A
Bizan got married and well, life is most likely treating him/her well.

Which leaves only Hound and Cecelia posting, regularly.

Any suggestion how we solve this? :D

I´m still here, things got a bit calmer and i´m trying to catch up. You write a lot though and i´m having a bit trouble getting a longer post in.
Life is indeed quite good and we´re expecting our baby any day now, which will shake things up again i guess.

Here´s my plan though: I didn´t manage to get the posts in i wanted because i think i tried to make them to big, going back too far and adressing too much. Then always something came up before i could finish.
Instead, i´ll go for shorter posts (no one liners though), chiming in as often as i can. That could make for several smaller posts from me in a day i think.

Let me know if that works for you people!

That awkward moment when you are indicated as one of the regular posters and then you immediately get so busy you can't respond for three days... ;) Work has gotten busy all of a sudden and the rest of my October is a hot mess of friend's getting married, parties, house guests and other evening distractions.

@Bizan: I don't see a problem with shorter posts. I actually usually intend to write shorter posts, I sometimes end up getting carried away once I find the time to post.

@GM: Not really sure what to suggest. Unfortunately the style of this particular part of the campaign is also probably exacerbating the problem. I love me some Way of the Wicked, but Book 2 is a marathon run. I might have mentioned this before, but it took my group about five or six months of weekly play and I actually cut quite a few things.

It seems amazing o paper, but for pbp not so much, since the players are sitting waiting for something to happen.
I'll cut some corners, and takes this more like a narrative style, but only problem is that I have the next month really busy for me with college work. I'll strive to post some more, but I hope you guys understand and bear with me just for a couple more of weeks.

Mh this is a planning, building and events thing right?
I have similar problems in my Hells Rebels live campaign, where the players aren´t really taking to the rebellion system, but instead kinda expect to be pushed through dungeons, while at the same time large dungeon runs are seen as boring.

For a kingmaker campaign, which uses something similar with building, we used quite a good system.
Since this also goes over extended time, it´s difficult to roleplay everything and every day out.
Instead, we made weeks and months, made general descriptions what characters would do or try, played out major scenes (and if only by description) and resolved all situations like encounters for combat or social by playing them out as well. Most times there was some joined planning and discussion about it, then we decided on something.
Maybe that could be a solution here as well, were some things are just a bit fast forwarded.

Hello everyone, sorry to have been quiet for so long. Life has just hit me really hard between family and work issues and I'm barely able to keep up with everything I have to do, much less things that I want to do.

I've been hoping that things would calm down soon and I would be able to jump back into things, but as it stands I don't know when that will be. Relatedly, I don't think it is fair to keep my status so questionable when I can't give any kind of time frame for it.

So I've decided to withdraw from all of my games. I've had a lot of fun with all of you, more than I've had in this hobby in a long time. Thanks everyone, for giving me the opportunity to play.

Well darn. It has been great playing with you.

Where will you guys wait? Sending someone to the caves? The other floors as well?

I think Mysty or someone with good speed(Hound would work for that) with a rope tied together to reach the third floor. He'll stay near the secret door and if the boggards sound the alarm(Anyone have an alarm spell?) He yanks on the rope so everyone else can come down. If they hit the third floor, Mysty/Hound can be aerted the same way and come running up.

So I think it hound and mysty going outside and up the stairs to catch them from behind would be a good idea if there are no objections.

I have no issue with that.

Good news and bad news:

I’ve finished all the work due to today and most likely I’ll have more time for my games now (since I don’t have any more classes), altho I’ll still need a couple of days to get back in track.

The bad news is that my undergraduate thesis ended up not reaching the result I wanted, and because of that, I’ll finish it next semester, being it the only pending task until I graduate.

Don't you only get one action, Cecelia?

Just noticed this comment. Sorry. The combat healer revelation let's me cast a cure spell as a swift action once per day by burning 2 spell slots.
