yeah I do apologize. I was going to post, but then everything in that day got messed around with times and such. Again, sorry for the delay, this has been the first time in a while I've been able to get back to the PC.
Rabe the Huntsman |
Apparently I have been level 2 this whole time
HPs for level 4
1d12 ⇒ 10
1d12 ⇒ 9
+1 to stat is going to Dex
I have a question about class templates, I originally picked Invulnerable Rager, which I am perfectly fine with. However, the ability that replaces at 3rd level doesn't really fit my character so I was wondering if I could take the superstitious Template as well and use its 3rd level replacement ability?
DM Aron Marczylo |
We have all been level 2, we are double leveling to get from the intro to the real adventure I think.
More-or-less. Plus I'm terrible at making interesting low-level hooks so being 4th gives me more wiggle room for making interesting adventure plot lines, without putting you guys in a unbeatable TPK situation.

Just making this more visible since you didn't answer it in your last post.

[/QUOTyes, I was just taking my time to mull this over. Hmm...I'm going to allow it, but in fairness everyone else is allowed to do simlar last-minute character changes just in case. If I don't hear anything, I'll assume everyone else is happy with their character build.

Also, anyone know of someone who'd want to join the game? If not, I'll port up a recruitment thread for this and KM.
For those who are interested, the KM game is built for 6 players so monsters are going to be bigger and nastier. It's currently at part 2 and I would say they're not even half-way through the adventure as of yet.
They have a wizard, sorcoror, Bard (arcane duelist), Cavalier and a disgruntled Druid so that should give you an idea of classes we have and might need. Sadly a player had to drop out after 2 years. If interested, I'll fill you in with more info such as level and character building rules.

Just so you know, I am also a sorcerer in the KM campaign. Unlike here where I attempt to be shadowy and hide a lot, there I am a changeling sorcerer(orc bloodline) and tend to be a bit of a hothead.
As far as the druid goes, think of all the movies you know that have a grumpy old man living in a shack in the woods somewhere and yelling and complaining about the encroachment of civilization - that is pretty much our druid.
It is actually a great campaign, I have been in it for about 2 years. We could use another skill/archery type player or someone with divine powers. Really the thing that we have well covered is the arcane, and the druid is more a caster than a combat oriented player.

Yeh, I really liked Swaney. He and Ganit, the guy who just left, made for great role playing. Both played great lawful characters, but with completely different views of lawful.
James, our cavalier, and I joined when the brothers left because of "creative differences" with the rest of the players.
An archer cleric would be good, although ranged clerics always seem very feat starved. Another lawful player would be good as Bron and Carina (me), the rulers of the land tend to be a little on the chaotic side of things. (I guess being a changeling with the orc bloodline might do that to a girl).
DM Aron Marczylo |
I would be interested as this is the game that had Swaney and 'the brothers' I asked about earlier in the short adventure Adam ran for a week. Archer cleric of Erastil or hobbit archer hospitaler would be my plan.
I forgot I promised Swaney I'd tell him if I get a new position open. I'll need to find him again and ask him. I believe I also said he was able to make a new character instead if he wished.

Yeah the brothers situation was bad and a real shame. Shouldn't have accepted the two for having being based on each other as, more often than not, it can become a situation of the two running a game, but not always as with a cleric and female paladin (my character) re they had a interesting story being raised and taught in the same temple and a romance blosseming between the two, but the campaign was cut short. Tried to get into another campaign, but didn't make the cut.
I remember Jameson actually saying that the brothers claimed they were treated poorly, took a look at my campaign and was like "no, I much perfer this group" shame, but I tried not to let it get me down. Especially as everyone else was so talented and civil.
Jaidoh Palumbra |
Yeh, it was before me, but as I recall it was all about loot splitting. Everyone agreed that it would be an equal split and that if you went into the hole (8k for a +2 sword for instance), then you would simply pay it back later by taking less in the next treasure. I could not believe how adamantly against this they were, it was to the level of just being bizarre.
DM Aron Marczylo |
Ever since then I have used that as the way the loot should be split and so far no one has complained about doing the split that way. Also to nip the issue in the bud before it becomes a issue.
I'm always so greatful to have such players as Jaodoh and her sorcorer's husband, the baron. Such a awesome combination of players in KM, Curse and here :)

Happy Easter all.
Well, let us know if Swaney takes the spot. If not, I would go with the Erastil archer cleric. My take on the archer cleric is to use very few feats on archery as the cleric quickly has better things to do than shoot a bow at higher levels. Because Erastil clerics get an animal companion with fur domain--I take boon companion feat to produce a capable melee bodyguard. The longbow is the option for the cleric when buffs and healing are not needed (like the useful Su of some wizards).
DM Aron Marczylo |
He hasn't responsed and I sent the message quite sometime ago, so i assume he's out. Sounds like quite a cool concept.
DM Aron Marczylo |
Anyone found someone else for the campaign? I'll start asking in my other games as I'd rather not make a thread to recruit 1 person, but we could keep it 5 if you like?
DM Aron Marczylo |
makes a fair point. The group is pretty diverse and i'm not just on about the different races and fascinating back stories.
Ostog Oath-Breaker |
Are we still using the 1d4+6 for d10 hp?
Wrong dice for level 2: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Level 3 and 4: 2d4 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3) + 12 = 19
What would be reasonable choices for favoured terrain?
Could we at some point find the option for my character to gain an animal companion for his Hunter's bond feature?
DM Aron Marczylo |
Reasonable would be urban due to the environment you're most likly in, but as you're also in Varisia then something to match the area would be decent choices.
You will certainly have time to gain the animal companion.
For a note to all, things will slow down as CDG now have me coming in daily for a month so my time has been cut short, but I'll try my hardest to respond as often as possible, so it shouldn't get in the way to much.
DM Aron Marczylo |
I don't know why, but this dissappeared and ended up in the retired campaign section below.
DM Aron Marczylo |
Hi Jerry. Want to post your character in the KM discussion thread whilst I find a way to rope you into the campaign? Plus I will be assuming tomorrow that no one is stopping Rabe walking up and attempting to open the front door.
DM Aron Marczylo |
I apologist for the slowness again. CDG have been tying their rope a bit tighter that by the time I've squeezed out the stress via AC 4: Black Flag it's about 10pm which means I need to go to bed to attend CDG in the morning and restart the process.
Today due to unforeseen circumstances I will have more free time for you this morning :)
DM Aron Marczylo |
Update:
Hi everyone and many apologises. I had a issue where I cleaned out my computer and stupidly didn't realise what the thermal paste was inside the graphics card when I was going it a in-depth clean.
Because of this, as my machine has only a dedicated processor there was no way to access my computer for quite some time.
On top of that, I had some issues yesterday and I was on a course for my Food Health and Safety Level 2 which included a interview for the Handmade Burger Company.
I failed at the interview, however I was successful in a interview three weeks ago and I'll be starting work Friday!
this will mean no more Job Centre messing around, more free time, more money so less worries and because of the extra free time I'll be on here more often and there will be far less issues in the future!
I do apologise to you all and am very thankful with how patient you have been with me. Things should be returning to better than normal and I can already see sometime next year I'll be buying up all the various PDFs that interest me on here and more data packs for Herolab.
Currently I've also been inspired by writing stories for my PFS characters as part of a writing exercise to get the cobwebs in my mind moving and I came up with some fantastic ideas for some rather nasty pathfinder beasts.
Either way, will be posting more soon now things have improved much better and less stress on my end.
DM Aron Marczylo |
ty all and I do apologise. I was meant to have posted on Friday, but have been side-tracked what with all the new stuff coming in and the prospects of being able to pay my family back and so on. Not to mention Christmas being around the corner.
Ostog Oath-Breaker |
To be honest I thought this game would end with the slow pace and that is why I didn't post for a long time. If it picking up I am going to resume posting, but I need a little time to get back in with the character.
DM Aron Marczylo |
With the slow pace that messed everything up and all that I'm wondering if we shouldn't cut our losses and close the game down.
It's clear I still have a lot to learn before building up my own scenarios...maybe in the future make some short ones before I gain the confidence to build a massive one, which was my initial idea with this one as I had plans to bring your pasts into it at later levels and throw other strange and compelling scenarios at you.
